Greetings Brothers,

The sixth update is now live for Space Hulk: Deathwing!

This update adds exciting new content and features for players who dare enter the Genestealer-infested Space Hulk – all of which will be included in a series of free content updates for PC players.




Today's patch focuses on additional gameplay variety, as well as fully introducing the Special Missions mode to singleplayer and multiplayer.

Special Missions bring a new level of uncertainty for even the most hardened Terminator squads. Starting a chapter will generate a randomised sequence of missions and Genestealer spawns for a truly unpredictable challenge.

Here are today's patch notes:

Additions:

Full Special Missions feature released in both single and multiplayer
  • All 7 chapters playable.
  • All the content can be accessed in single-player (from the main menu) and multiplayer (through a lobby).
  • You unlock the special missions in singleplayer after completing the chapter in the solo campaign. For example if your most advanced save is in chapter 7, you will have access to single-player special missions from Chapter 1 to 6.
  • If you no longer have your save file or haven’t finished the campaign, but would like to try the new game modes in singleplayer, you'll find HERE a file unlocking all special missions. Put the file in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\SpaceHulkGame\Saved\SaveGames
New Multiplayer Skills
    Proximity Mine
  • Places an explosive proximity mine.
  • Heavy Weapon Skill
    Skull Drone
  • Summons a combat drone to temporarily fight at your side.
  • Tactic Skill
    Frenzy
  • Briefly increases your melee attack speed.
  • Assault Skill
    Fire Storm
  • Briefly increases your weapon's rate of fire.
  • Heavy Weapon Skill
Gameplay Tweaks
  • The limitation on classes in multiplayer has now been removed.
  • Shortcuts for orders have been enabled in multiplayer.
  • It is now possible to go back to main menu during the score screen of a multiplayer game.
  • Holding shift when out of endurance no longer drains your endurance.
Bugfixes:
  • Multiple AI navigation fixes
  • Multiple localization fixes
  • Fixed some issues with collisions
  • Fixed a rare issue with LoD
  • When joining an already in-progress multiplayer game, you should no longer see the partially loaded chapter for a few seconds (it can still happen on some low end hardware).
  • Broodlords should no longer have a pathfinding issue causing them to fly to their destination.
  • Fixed Belial saying a random line at the end of a Special Mission
  • Fixed a bug where the first dialogue of a chapter would play when opening the armory in the bridgehead
  • The language of the logs and objectives during a multiplayer game is now based on your own settings rather than those of the host.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the logs to not be properly displayed in multiplayer.
  • Motion blur is now working properly for all hardware.
  • Fixed many issues when joining a game where all the others players were dead. This includes graphical glitches resolutions, overlapping menus and a possible block.
  • Fixed an issue where a widget would appear repeatedly.
  • Fixed a block at the end of chapter 6 where a player was teleported inside the last room at the end of a multiplayer game.
  • A few rare random crashes have been resolved.
  • Fixed GUI issues during certain objectives when joining a multiplayer game.
  • Fixed a possible overlap with the armory HUD in a multiplayer game or when spectating through the death camera.
  • Fixed a couple of minor issues in Chapter 1 Special Missions.

Known Issues:
  • Rare DirectX crash
  • If you try to join a full server, you will be connected to a different one with an available spot instead.
  • It is possible for the inventory menu in multiplayer to overlap with the game and create an unplayable state.
  • It is possible that guests cannot open their inventory menu in multiplayer game.
  • When an objective is finished in multiplayer, it might stop the current action of a guest player.
  • Relics are not currently acknowledged on the score screen for guests in multiplayer game.
  • In multiplayer, if a Librarian equips a powerfist, you will see a small gap in his arm

The fifth update is now live for Space Hulk: Deathwing!

This new update kicks off the countdown to Space Hulk: Deathwing's Enhanced Edition for PS4 and Xbox One in Q4 2017.

This edition will add exciting new content and features for players who dare enter the Genestealer-infested Space Hulk – all of which will be included in a series of free content updates for PC players.




This latest patch focuses on more gameplay variety by introducing the Special Missions game mode to multiplayer.

Special Missions, which have been added to Chapter 1 but are coming later to every chapter in the game, bring a new level of uncertainty for even the most hardened Terminator squads. Starting a chapter will generate a randomized sequence of missions and Genestealer spawns for a truly unpredictable challenge.

We are also excited to share a glimpse of just a few of the upcoming features players can look forward to in the Enhanced Edition:

  • Full multiplayer progression system with loot and class customization
  • New multiplayer class
  • New weapon and skills
  • New enemies



Here is today's patch notes:

New
  • Special Missions arrives in chapter 1 in multiplayer!
    • Played in the existing maps, players must successfully achieve different objectives randomly chosen.
  • Genestealer variations have been added - more scale and shading diversity!

Gameplay
  • Apothecary cooldowns in multiplayer are longer if you do not have the Narthecium.
  • Narthecium heal cooldown set to 60s.
  • When playing a “hold the position” objective, you have to stay in the siege area (automatic defeat outside the area after some time).

Bugfix
  • Fix of a possible block when opening the inventory as a guest player.
  • Fix some rare cases of bad behaviour or pathfinding (stuck Genestealer).
  • Fix of a rare case when you could be stuck in an empty lobby.
  • Multiple graphical glitches fixes.
  • Multiple controller menu fixes.
  • Multiple GUI and menu fixes.
  • Fix of a potential blocking issue with saves created during the first objective of chapter 7.
  • Fix of a potential block occurring when loading a save at the end of chapter 4.
  • Fix of issues related to dialogues being played when loading a save.
  • Fix of an issue occurring during a dialogue with the slomo option.
  • Fix of an issue where the player was losing SFX when loading a save during a dialogue with the slomo option.
  • Fix of an issue when saving with a jammed weapon.
  • Fix of a potential blocking issue occurring when issuing many inputs on the inventory menu with a controller.
  • Performance improvement in the psygate.
  • Fix of a potential blocking issue when loading a save inside the torpedoes in the chapter 1.
  • Fix of a SFX issue after locking a door.
  • Fix of a bug allowing players to unlock doors without being near them.

Known Issues
  • Crash DirectX is still being worked on.
  • When joining an already started multiplayer game, you can see the partially unloaded chapter during 2/3sec.
  • If joining at the very moment host launch the game, you enter the chapter with lobby menu overlapping the game. (Multiplayer only)
  • If you try to join a full server, you will be connected to a different one with an available spot instead.
  • Some attacks on the hold position of the C.A.T in the chapter 8 will not launch properly.
  • When an objective is finished in multiplayer, it might stop the current action of a guest player.
  • Zoom sensitivity has been changed from the previous build, let us know what you think about it!

Space Hulk: Deathwing is a First-Person Shooter experience based on Games Workshop's classic Space Hulk boardgame set in the universe of Warhammer 40,000. Space Hulk: Deathwing was developed on Unreal Engine 4, and offers you and up to three of your friends the chance to experience a desperate battle against Genestealers in the claustrophobic tunnels of a Space Hulk. You also gain skills, new abilities, and new equipment as you earn experience during missions.

Space Hulks drift along the currents of the Warp, the immaterial dimension of Chaos. Made up of gigantic, mangled asteroids, ship wrecks, and other stellar debris, they can grow to the size of a moon, and often contain treasured and ancient lost technologies. They are often also infested with broods of the lethal Genestealer.

In the game you take on the role of a Space Marine from one of the most secret and most feared Space Marine forces: the Deathwing of the Dark Angels Chapter.

As a Librarian, you can also master the destructive powers of the Psykers. Your skills and performance in battle grant you Fervor Points to spend on 3 skill trees, allowing you to improve your abilities and unlock new powers.

Don your Terminator armour and arm yourself with the iconic weaponry of the Space Marines and face the threats that await you in the Space Hulk.
