Gameplay is smooth and cool but there is not really a tutorial about the game so it can be quite tedious...

I was lured in when this was linked to EQNext. Every major feature has been dropped and gameplay isn't very different now than it was over a year ago. Players make stuff and other players poke around at it. You'd be better off playing Disney Infinity or Project Spark if that's your thing.

Some of the players have built amazing things, but those things are trapped in a game that will never get more development.

Daybreak has outright ♥♥♥♥ed this game like it has many. It really does hurt to give this game a bad review because I really do love this game however, this game has been abandoned and left at a horrible state. As far as I know, you cant even claim land on the main areas. Please do as Papa Rags said and do not give Daybreak anymore money.

EDIT: The game has seemingly gone through multiple optimization changes so the game is very smooth which is a plus and you apparently CAN move you claims from the "Pioneer Island" which is also nice. Did that change my mind about the game? Would I recommend it? No, not at all. Not at it's current stage at least. I would say wait for the devs to hopefully some day pick up the game or sell it to better devs.

This wasn't canceled? It really should have been. With my trusty founder pickaxe I attempted to dig under Daybreak in order to get a refund but found they were protected by EULA armor. Never again Daybreak...

I want my money back.

This game had promise, always did. I bought it in order to shape the world of the next installment of a series of MMO's that I love.

Then all of that changed when Daybreak attacked.

They ripped from my arms, the promise that I would help in shaping a world I couldn't wait to step into as I entered Everquest Next (by cancelling it), and then expect me to want to deal with a very below average game, very bland and boring, and just overall not worth the money I originally paid. I paid it for two games: This one, and Everquest Next. I was left with one.

If anything is a cause to give a refund, it would be a move like this, but apparently, I can't because of the many hours I spent before this move was made. Bull, but whatever.

To anyone reading this: Save yourselves, turn away, run for miles, miles, maybe even lightyears, and then never return. This game is a graveyard, and the only scraps of decent gameplay are just that: Scraps. There's really not much to do after a point. Maybe you'll make your masterpiece. Maybe a few of them. It may take time, and yes, some of it is fun in that sense. But will you ever be compeletely satisfied with your purchase? No.

Trust me here, guys. Don't bother with this hunk of ♥♥♥♥♥.

Heres the rundown of Landmark:

- Originally used to be a tool to help shape EverQuest Next
- Steady Development with Landmark with only few keys handed out unless real money spent
- Head Dev of EverQuest Next and Landmark leaves
- Daybreak lie about H1Z1 and Landmark becoming Free to Play
- Release Landmark

The combat is button mashing
The grind is real
Nobody plays this game

The End

Great building tools, without gameplay to back them up.

The relatively small size of build sites means no grand projects. The lack of depth to the game means player created dungeons/adventures can't really be challenging.

Not sure why Daybreak removed tiered items from the game, but now there is no player progression at all. By the time you finish the tutorial, you've seen the entirety of what the game has to offer. You never get stronger, access to previously unobtainable materials, or any of the usual things you'd expect from a building/adventuring game. It gets boring incredibly fast.

The game should be called "Blandmark" because it's a terrible game.

Blandmark has the best building of any voxel game in the history of games.....and the fun stops there. If you only care about making useless stuff in a game that no one cares about. This will be the best 10 bucks you ever spend.

If you expect the game to offer anything meaninguful past the building, save your money and go watch the paint dry, you will be happier and 10 dollars richer!

The build sites are too small to create anything meaningful. The forums are full of Daybreak apologists who beat up anyone who says anything even remotely negative about the game, half of the white knight apologists are not even players, but devs hiding behind the banner of a player. Oddly enough if you dig deep enough on the internet you can find connections between some of the white knight players and the lead developer.

The game has turned into a cash shop money grab, Daybreak did not even promote the game when it launched. This game had the quietest launch I have ever seen in any product ever. This means even they are not proud of it, and rightfully so. Blandmark is junk at best, its like trying to polish a diarrhea.

The game is fun for a small group of people, mostly narcissistic yahoos who only care about you kissing their butt about how 'amazing' their cheezy build is and caring very little to step outside of their build site to like other claims. The best claims in the game are the ones not heaviliy promoted by the white knight staff, sadly these people are dying off and will continue to do so as other creative games are released.
