Easy mode and language update!

Hi spies!

Happy to announce a new update with some new features and improvements.

- NEW DIFFICULTY MODE

We heard that some people found the game a bit hard because this game IS hard. That's why we have added a new "normal" difficulty mode that keeps the game challenging and makes it more accessible for every kind of player.

Those who played the game in the original (harder) mode will keep the save with everything. New players will find that a few achievements are only achievable in hard mode.

- 4 NEW LANGUAGES

We just added 4 new languages: French, German, Italian and Spanish.

- SOME MINOR STUFF

We worked a bit on graphics, fixed some bugs and worked on optimization to make the experience cooler and smoother :)

Don't let the cartoon visuals fool you. Being a RGB Agent requires some good skills.

Spy Chameleon RGB Agent is a challenging arcade-puzzle game where the player needs to avoid being spotted thanks to the color-changing mechanisms of the main character.

Across 5 crazy missions and 75 levels the player will discover different enemies and mechanics in order to complete super secret missions only achievable by a RGB Agent: taking pics of a celebrity and her lover at her bedroom or getting the secret formula of a famous drink company are only some examples.

Observe the moves of your enemies, choose the right path and start running to the next safe spot. The length of the levels make this game perfect to spend a few minutes completing some levels or hours finishing missions and getting all the challenges, speed-running through the game or getting all the achievements.

Game features:

- change color to blend with the environment
- 75 challenging levels. The difficulty increases as you learn the mechanics
- 3 challenges in each level: pick collectibles and beat time
- 5 different enemies, each one with different mechanics
- a mix of good reflexes, timing and strategy

Cool game!

The colour change mechanics are well thought, easy to learn and nicely distributed across levels, which creates some very interesting puzzles (I've enjoyed how the progressive addition of new features prevents it from becoming too repetitive, too). Also, the extended mission goals (find the ladybugs, speed run,...) help to add some challenge for completionists and definitely enhance replayability. In some levels the additional goals may create some frustration as they rely heavily on timing and/or location, but since you clearly feel how you get better with each try until you eventually reach the solution to those harder puzzles, that actually encourages you to keep playing. I admit that this is a matter of personal preference, but so far with me it's worked that way.

Even though gameplay is the strongest point for me, visuals work nicely, too, I love the chameleon design. Oh, and the "mission fail" screens are hilarious :D

Awesome game! I hardly ever go for indie titles or casual games, but this one is a total anomaly! With damn near infinite replay value thanks to the fly/time/ladybug challenges plus a global leaderboard, this game has had me hooked since I picked it up 24 hours ago.

Spy Chameleon has one of the best learning curves I've ever experienced in a game - many levels are made in a way that is easy enough to complete, but difficult to master, especially in the later stages. The difficulty very gradually goes up, to the point where you don't even really realize that it's getting more difficult until you're trying to break the world record and you fail 50 times.

The mechanics of the game aren't introduces all in the first 5 or 10 stages, which I believe is an extremely strong point. It gradually introduces new mechanics over each mission of 15 levels, so you aren't bombarded with new gimmicks but learn exactly how each new obstacle works and can be overcome.

Spy Chameleon is one of the best games I've played in quite a while. It stand out in my mind for being so different, while pretty much nailing the difficulty curve and keeping the player interested. I've started a subreddit, /r/spychameleon, in case anybody wants to check it out or if the developers want to take over as moderators. But yes, I very much do recommend this game to everybody, so worth the price!

A simple little game that is suprisingly fun. All about timing, planning, and quick but deliberate movements. I also love the overall "theme" of the game. Very lighthearted but not to the realm of silliness. For $5, it's a steal, buy it, especially on a sale.

Fun, beautiful, and challenging game. The art style is perfect for the game design and the rooms look amazing. I read that some people found movement using a gamepad slower, but I used a X360 controller and the movement speed was the same as using a mouse. (Possibly updated since those comments). For me, using the controller was better because the colour change buttons were easier to remember and push.

As a stealth game, the gameplay is the same through out the game, you hide from enemies (sometimes for several seconds), eat flies, push stuff and try to make your way out the other door. For some people this may seem boring, but I found the different enemies, level design and strategies to get past enemies, made me want to keep playing this game (that and the achievements).

The enemies are great, they're so cute and deadly at the same time. The death/capture animation can be skipped by push of a button as soon as it starts and the level resets. Death/capture happens often.

Finally, a stealth game that rewards skill more than patience.
It's really polished. Definitely worth more than the price.
Each level has additional challenges. Very viable for speedrunning (keyboard has a disadvantage, though).
A great way to learn positions of the 4 buttons on the gamepad :|

A great time killer.
Fun, difficult and highly recommended for the completionist types that love to aim for 100% in the games they play.
I'd say it's well worth its price, whether it be from sale or its original.

What a nice surprise! The visuals are not bad, but I specially like the gameplay. There are some levels better than others, but it's a nice experience overall. And now there are leaderboads!

I really wanted to like this game and it starts well enough, but about 1.5 hours in it devolves into ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ level design requiring pixel perfect movement (which is insane in a game with analog movement). At first this is mitigated by the quick restarts and frequent checkpoints so when you die you rarely lose more than 10 seconds.

But the design only gets more dickish, in the end I spent 20 minutes on a single checkpoint that required pixel perfect, perfectly timed movement to simultaneously dodge 3 camera bots while pushing a block that was your only source of cover. You have to run around this crate pushing it an inch at a time before you run back to cover about 10 times in a row to complete the checkpoint and get caught on one corner for a fraction of a second and you're dead. That is not my idea of fun, I think it is tradgic that such a solid premiss with such a polished and inventive implementation can end up being so painful to play because the level designer didn't know when to quit.

Only buy this if you are okay only playing the game for 1.5 hours and then never seeing the ending (or if you are a masochist, that's when the fun begins.)

A great and cheap game for when you have a spare moment or two. I was surprised by how addictive and fun this game was and the mechanics really suit the game as a whole. It also has achievements and trading cards which I also enjoy. This game is ideal if you hae some spare Steam funds, or if you need a game to wind down and relax.

This game is worth every penny spent and it doesnt cost much either.

The gameplay is simple, its easy to pick up.
It also provides a challenge. The puzzles require good timing and quick reflexes.

In the game you can collect flies, ladybugs.
Beat your fastest time.
You can compete for the fastest times.
Achievements.
Some good replay value.

Everything from the character design to the game mechanics are perfect!

If you are into stealthy puzzle games,
dont think just buy it!
You will not regret it!

Thats all I gotta say, this game is awesome
I'm gonna get back to playing the game now!

A fantastic little "puzzle" game. I would call it a reflex test personally. It is impressive graphically and I can't believe the premise has never been thought of before.

Bought it for 2.99€ on HumbleStore. A very Entertaining IndieGame, you try to stealth around with your chameleon skills and hide for cams and bots to be the fastest lizard of your friendlist and there are some items like flys and ladybucks you have to collect too. The Steam trailer says all about it, pure arcade action fun.

I really liked this game! It is a mixture of puzzle and hardcore-ish execution based game of "trial and error" and mild mind♥♥♥♥ thrown here and there.

The premise is original and the gameplay is simple and feels polished. The controls works great. It is somehow challenging to some people for what I have read, but you should be able to plow through it in around 4 to 6 hours. My most favorite part by far is the Time challenge mode, where you will be ranked both globally and against your friends. It is fun to figure out ways to improve your time, and the level design in most levels is geared towards that goal. The same can be said for the additional ladybug and flies challenges, where you may have to take special detours and sort extra hurdles... I am not a big achievement guy, but they're there and they add to the replayability.

All in all, a very nice game with some ingenious level designs, cool music and overall a fun experience. Give it a try!
