How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community is what makes multiplayer games worth playing. Nothing can substitute for the support and feedback of an active player community. We’ll be listening to our players to identify what makes Jump Tanks fun to play and what needs to be better, then we'll improve the parts that need work and polish what's already great.”

About This Game

Humanity is in a precarious state. Radical factions squabble over scarce resources, and the best way to earn a day’s rations is to own an armored jumping tank. Luckily, you have three.

Jump Tanks is a online multiplayer combat shooter where it's us-versus-them until the battlefield is littered with broken machines. Prepare for explosive, frenetic matches where you'll dodge rockets and pounce from rooftops through storms of bullets.

Build your Battalion
Customize three different tanks to take into battle. Don’t like your gun? Pick a new one. Need another jump to get the drop on the enemy? Swap in different legs. Millions of custom tank builds await you.

Each Battle is Personal
Coordinating with your teammates is crucial to gain an edge over your opponents. Stick close to your ally to earn a special buff. Avoid your rival, who has an advantage over you.

The future may look grim, but with you behind the controls and your team by your side, there is hope. See you on the battlefield!

US, Europe and Japanese Servers

Jump Tanks is a truely unique take on mech warfare with extreme fast paced action from high on the rooftops and down low in the streets. It has easy to learn controls, and a huge variety of gameplay styles and roles. It is a decent amount of content for a relatively low price. And the game actually plays well!

-Great visual customization. Change your guns, chassis, wheels/legs, abilities, even pilot avatar
-EXP gain/level up
-A decent amount of maps/arenas
-Networking/matchmaking works perfectly
-customizable video/audio/resolution settings
-Anime themed graphics

-Very low player base at the moment, but this is likely to change.
-Optimization is quite bad at the moment. Hopefully we will see some decent optimization in the near future. It runs OK on lower resolution.
-Keyboard and mouse (mouse in particular) functionality seems to be a little buggy at the moment. But I expect this to be addressed fairly smartly.
-Auto aiming/locking needs some tweaking.

Get this game. At the current price, you really can't go wrong. Good gameplay, great content.

Ok, I bought this game because it reminded me of another mecha game that I used to play on PS2 called Steel Lancer Arena International and Jump Tanks fits what I wanted.
-Fast paced gameplay? Check.
-Customizable mechs? Check.
-Cool art style? Check.

What it needs though is more players, a better presentation in certain areas (like the title screen, certain fonts, etc), and overall improvement of the game. But overall the game is pretty ok right now, buy it if you like mech games.

A really good example of an indie game with a really fun core mechanic, and nothing that really distracts from it. You literally go into a game, pick 3 tanks you want to use, then jump into a match and jump around using your assorted weapons and attachments to kill your opponent.

1) I haven't encountered any crashes or gameplay detracting bugs, which is really impressive for an early release title, especially having played it on a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Mac laptop as well as my gaming PC.

2) I managed to get into a game with the devs, and they were really transparent and appreciative of feedback.

3) The combat FEELS impactful (with a caveat I'll mention below). When you launch mega rockets, or spark rockets, or spam the lightning bolt gun, the sounds and visuals are really satisfying when you hit.

4) The turrets - There's things besides the enemies that are hazardous to your health in an active way. It kinda makes it feel like the level itself is a 3rd side in the fight.

5) The level size is great for the sizes of the team you'd expect. They don't feel oppressively large, even if you're fighting 1v1 in the heaviest, slowest tank you can make.

1) This is the caveat to the impactful combat pro above: The photon shotgun doesn't feel like a shotgun at all. It feels and sounds like I'm flinging pink confetti at my opponent with gravel mixed in. Also the fact that the damage falloff goes from 100% to 0% after a very short distance instead of a gradual falloff (100% at the first range increment, 50% in the second, 20% in the third, for example) makes the weapon nigh unusable, given the energy limitations of the game. If this were any less severe I'd attribute it to 'balancing issues', and 'early release'.

2) Early release means weapon balance is still being tweaked, but this is something that could be best solved by having more players.

Play this game, and get your friends to play it too!

This game has pretty good intense MP action. Needs more players, but I see the potential. Get it now while it's cheap.
