Contest: Daily Surprises!

Adventurers of Aura!

I have had a fascinating journey around the world of Aura this weekend and lucky me I saw a lot of epic battles, great wars and the way how you defeat the invaders! I have seen how the Varlone, Capital City lives and I was really proud that I was born there long time ago and, what is more, I have seen how all of you, brave warriors, protect our Kingdom day by day far away from the safety capital. I have decided to capture some parts of my journey and showed my works to King Roland. His Majesty saw your effort in previous contest in which His Majesty offered you completely new challenge and you have done all steps amazingly! Therefore, this time His Majesty prepared for you one more contest in order to see your imagination and skill!
I will share with you pictures I collected during the journey. All you need to do is to guess what is happening on these pictures and share with me your thoughts!

Up to Four winners will each receive:
  • Elixirs that you will choose x12
  • Insignia of Distinction x50
  • Black Box x1

Find more details and participate on our Forum.

Good luck!

The graphics and animation in this game are extremely fluid and beautiful. The art design and monster models are often very creative. I'm enjoying this game more than I thought I would. I also really enjoy the isometric top-down view. Otherwise it is pretty standard fantasy RPG fare. But I like that just fine.

Also, the F2P features aren't so bad. You can buy the store currency with the in-game gold you earn by playing. I haven't found that there is too much the pay store offers that you can't do without anyway. The mounts are a bit overly costly to maintain, but aren't all that much faster than walking anyway. Bag storage is a pain, and too expensive to expand much, but stores are abundently available for shedding a filled up inventory. I'm not finding it too bothersome ...yet.

I recommend giving the game a try. If it's not for you, so be it. You have spent nothing.

kind of addicting until you get past level 20 and start going into pvp zones... or rather they are regular zones that you need to get crafting mats from where people can kill you. So most pvp is just people griefing crafters. Also very p2w after level 20.

If your going to play this game, just get to level 20 sell your gear and send everything to the next character you want to play and so on.

This is a pretty unique little gem of a free MMORPG with a somewhat deceptive item shop.
Before I start - the item shop IS NOT mandatory.

Everything in this game is purchaseable with ingame currency, including the premium currency itself. It is expensive, but you can buy it with in game gold.

All in all, this reminds me of some old school point and click action bar MMORPGs similar to Lineage and specifically a game called Ferentus, but a lot more polished and with a very well presented UI and ideas.

Summary:
-8 classes to choose from (4 in the beginning)
-a variety of ways to min/max your attributes
-crafting is very important and the only way to get best items (so far)
-item shop is very very optional
-lots of PVE content, but mostly traditional MMORPG grindy stuff
-encourages grind with rewards...lots and lots of rewards
-a million ways to customize your character to your taste stats wise
-okayish graphics and good sounds effects

All in all, this is by far one of the better free MMORPGs I played in a long while and has a very fair item shop that is very non intrusive.
I definitely recommend this to the fans of the genre and especially those old school players that miss some of the older MMORPGs

Don't let the idea that you can purchase premium currency with in game gold fool you, this game is pay 2 win.

If you're high level (50+), you can earn enough gold to pay for a premium membership (or royal blessing, as it's called), but there's much more to be had with premium currency. More backspack in your tiny backpack? Pay up. Per item type (equipment, loot, potions, quest items). Would you like to revive instantly? Pay up. Fast travel for no gold? Pay up. Pet collars? Pay up. In fact, you're constantly nagged with functionality that requires you to either get a premium membership or pay a one time fee in premium currency. Constantly.

If you don't have a premium membership, you receive a lot less gold, experience and loot. Your resurrecting sickness lasts seven times longer, and much much more.

The game itself is alright. There are tons of different spells, and different classes really do feel like different classes. Some quests are unique and interesting, but most are fetch, deliver or kill quests. The PVP wasn't well thought through, and can be tedious at times. Most areas look similar, and enemies are not very unique in the way they act.

The chat is horrendous and unintuitive. This leads to very little chatter over the airways and a sort of isolated feeling, as if you're not really in an mmorpg.

Overall, the relentless pushing to get you to pay up spoils most of the fun, especially since your basic account is so limited it's hard not to feel pressured into spending money. I can't recommend it.

Played for about 5 hours today... game is pleasantly nice. There is some pay to win, but atleast it isn't like most games where you can't play at all. For those who reviewed that health and mana potions are with real money, actually, i found that you find many on the way, and there are some you can buy from vendors you can buy with looted gold.

Until now, game looks fine. I reached level 15, and liking the game so far.

Only one item I didn't like is missing teleportation. Even for the basic one, you need a premium account.

Edit:
After playing for over 27 hours, I feel this game is pretty addictive. Atleast until now I could manage with all F2P features, but I should say thanks to the amazing community that helped me.
