The new multiplayer mode of KTBG is available now!

Sometimes it’s good to be bad! We are proud to announce today that our gory puzzler, Kill The Bad Guy has received a new multiplayer gameplay mode entitled Gangs of Bad Guys. Gangs of Bad Guys offers players an unseen multiplayer experience and is a FREE extension of the original game.

In Gangs of Bad Guys, players will take control of their own very own Bad Guy, choosing from 16 different character skins. Play online with up to 16 other players (or A.I.) in free-for-all or in team-based matches, fight it out across 12 different maps, and select from 4 different gameplay modes.

Players can choose to be a lone wolf or a team leader and strategist – use hackable items, collect in-game money to purchase new weaponry, take advantage of each level’s unique design, and execute actions with skill and speed. Make master strokes to take down opposing Bad Guys.

Introducing the A.I. in KTBG's multiplayer mode (beta)

Last and biggest update in the multiplayer mode of KTBG before its release: you can now add bots and play against or with them!

That's the last important thing that was missing: characters controlled by an A.I., in order to play with more characters, and thus to always have funny and bloody game sessions. The server (host player) can add up to 16 bots, and you can play with them in your team, or against them. Thus, you can even play alone to the multiplayer mode, which is a good way to learn how to play.

Three levels of difficulty are available for the A.I., and you can play with them in the four different game modes: ‘Serial Killers’, ‘Gang Supremacy’, ‘Capture the flags’, and ‘Godfather’. There’s also an intelligent ‘auto-completion’ feature that adds many bots at the same time for the big maps that are best for 8 or 10 players.

Try it! Enjoy it! And don’t hesitate to send us your feedbacks.

“This is a game about killing, but it's a fun, lightweight game about killing that mostly succeeds by blending cunning logic- and physics-based puzzles with a great sense of humor.”

“Si vous voulez un puzzle game joli (épuré, mais joli), sanglant, marrant et conséquent (les niveaux bonus sont vraiment chouettes), Kill the Bad Guy est un bon achat.”

About This Game

I - KTBG: the original single-player puzzle game
II - Gangs of Bad Guys: the new multi-player mode

I - KTBG

Does everyone deserve a second chance? Can crimes ever be forgotten? Hiding behind the mask of the average man on the street, and furtively blending into the background, many war criminals, ex-Mafia members and other criminals have been literally getting away with murder, or worse. That is, until you turned up to ruin the party. As part of a secret and mysterious society whose members have sworn to rid the world of these Bad Guys, it’s your responsibility to make sure justice is served in the bloodiest possible way, using your unpredictability to your advantage.

Track the Bad Guys, be brutal and smart in your planning, and eliminate them one by one. But bear this in mind: each criminal’s death has to look like an accident. In each level, you’ll have the chance to splatter and destroy the Bad Guy using various weapons and traps. It’s up to you to make sure he ends up in the wrong place at the right time.

In this ingenious puzzle game in which physics plays an essential role, you’ll need to keep a cool head and your wits about you. Show no mercy as you set out to kill the Bad Guy!

“Until your mission is accomplished we don’t exist. If you fail, you’ll be the only person at fault, and we’ll deny ever knowing you.”

Features
TRACK YOUR TARGET in 60 levels, each one more original than the last, and unlock 6 completely off-the-wall bonus levels.
USE YOUR IMAGINATION as you take out the criminals one by one. Find the opportune moment to act, and make it as bloody as you can!
BECOME THE AMBASSADOR OF DEATH and make full use of all the different traps available. Sabotage vehicles, transform daily objects into deadly weapons, or combine different elements in order to create new ones.
WORK IN THE SHADOWS. Don’t draw attention to yourself. Cameras, pedestrians, cops and the Bad Guys’ bodyguards mustn’t suspect you. No one should ever doubt that these deaths are anything but unfortunate accidents.
TRY, TRY AND TRY AGAIN as you take advantage of the game’s replay feature. Get the top score, fulfil the secondary objectives, find new ways to kill each Bad Guy, and work on your murder skills.
SOCIAL SHARING. Show off your killing prowess and achievements to your friends, and prove that you are the world’s top justice seeker.

II - Gangs of Bad Guys

Playable up to 16 players, Gangs of Bad Guys is a new competitive mode. Face your opponents and kill them all. This time you control the Bad Guy and no more discretion, you must be clever and cunning to achieve your aims. Turn items of everyday into deadly traps, combine elements and bring the terror in the streets. Alone or in team, fight your enemies in 4 game modes: Serial Killers, Capture the flag, Godfather and Gang Supremacy.

Fun...But Not for Too Long
The idea that you can manipulate the world around the bad guy to kill him is amusing. However as the levels progress, they get somewhat repetitive and it feels like you are doing the same this over and over again with little variation. However, for all those that enjoy the game and are not bored within an hour or so there are plently of levels to complete which provides for a substantial gameplay time.
There are gameplay elements that make this game somewhat frustrating to play. For example the camera doesn't rotate and you can only zoom in and out and this makes it hard for timing and perception purposes.
For the full-price that this game is asking for i would say that this game isn't worth it however if you get it discounted and you are interested in this sort of game then it is just a little bit worth picking up.

Kill the Bad Guy is an idea that sounds great on paper, but lacks the proper execution to be any kind of fun. Players are expected to figure out how to kill the bad guy by combining and interacting with various objects within a level. The main problem with this game is that the behaviours of each individual object isn't immediately clear, which prevents players from being able to efficiently plan a strategy. Add to this that the bad guy never shows a clear direction or path, and the result is a game that fails in making the player feel clever in any possible way.

You do exactly what it says on the tin. Kill the bad guy. Each level has a map with a target you must kill. You have to use available items on the map such as lawn mowers, cars or a spear fired from a catapult.

Good points:
-Fun light hearted game.
-About 60 levels plus a few bonus ones you can unlock. (I personally liked the Lemmings tribute)
- Seeing your dastardly plan come together resulting in the bad guy splattered across the street is always satisfying especially as you get to watch a replay after

Bad points:
- This game is really more suited as a mobile game and can be a bit awkward to work with a mouse
- It'll only provide a few hours entertainment max.

In any case this game is good for a few hours of over the top fun.

KTBG has some potential, however, even for an EA title, it is very repetitive, and there are not much difference between each level...

You can't really do what you want, and there a not much ways to kill the bad guy. You often find yourself thinking : I want to kill him like this, but you have no other option.

All the "bad guys" are the same, no specific behaviour form one to another. I don't play multiplayer, and I can't remember if devs were talking about the multiplayer mode when I bought it years ago...

A good game, but very very repetitve. To buy on sale. 10€ is a bit expensive for the content by now.
