About This Game

Cult of the Wind is a game about people who pretend to be airplanes.

"In an unknown time and place, a cult that worships the wreckage of ancient airplanes gathers to mimic the dogfights of old. With the peak of humanity far behind, their world is a mausoleum to a lush and verdant Art Deco past."

In Cult of the Wind, players compete and cooperate in ritualistic multi-player human dogfights, complete with imaginary weapons, pretend explosions, and airplane noises made with their mouths. Shower your friends in a hail of imaginary bullets and proclaim, "I got you! You have to lie down," to which they respond, "Nuh-uh, I have a shield." You argue about whether or not airplanes can have shields, meanwhile some other guy does a cannonball onto your head while whistling. It's great.

With an intuitive point-and-click level editor you'll be able to craft new levels or modify existing ones, then immediately share them with anyone on a server, even if you aren't the host. You can also craft a personalized appearance for your character with numerous articles of clothing and more.

  • Simple, robust level editor
  • Instantly share your creations with others
  • Character customization
  • Dozens of imaginary weapons and abilities
  • Infinitely expandable content
  • Blindingly high-speed mock combat
  • Weird noises

Game is really good, however almost no one is playing it. I give thumbs up only to support developers but please add some more content, more maps and please be active with community. The game has a lot of potential but if you developers don't promote your game than it will be completely dead, i mean it's already dead so try to be more active, i know that everything cost a lot of money but this game deserves to be among the best indie titles.

I'm sure it's a great game, I just can't find out whether it is or not considering there is literally no one playing.

I decided to try Cult of the Wind and of course no one else was playing. The game has nice graphics, controls well, but thats about all I can say because there is no gameplay without other players. The content of the game seems rather shallow and perhaps the dev should add something other than simply running around pretending to be airplanes and shooting others like playing 'cowboys and indians'. Or maybe this needs to be free to play, but what the game is right now is definately not very viable. I would like to recommend, but in its current state its not worth the money. 5/10

At the begining of this year my life was hell. I had no job, my parents disowned me and my crack♥♥♥♥♥ wife was about to birth my crack addict baby. Things where ruff and I even contemplated suicide after I found out I was diagnosed HIV positive. The days turned into nightmares as my mind was riddled with anxiety in anticipation of the dark days to come. I seeked solice in alcohol and perscription drugs but none of it helped, it looked like there was nothing that could help me. Then, in the midst of the steam summer sale 2015 I saw a multiplayer game about people pretending to be planes, a game about people, people who in the face of adversity said ''no: I will not be brought down by alcohol, drugs and my crack♥♥♥♥♥ wife;I will not succum to societal pressures;I will rise above what is expected of me AND I WILL pretend to be a plane''. Cult of the wind changed my life. I got a new job, my parents have accepted me back into the family and my wife and unborn child were assassinated by a hitman. I've been cured of AIDs and have been discribed as the new Magic Johnson. Cult of the wind can change your life too, just give it a chance. I did and I've come out of this game a new man.

10/10 would play again
