The premise of Pressured is simple but relatively hard to master. In each level, you are assigned a target number. Your goal is to click on numbers that add up to that target number before the pressure meter fills up. As you click on numbers, your current sum is shown on the top of the screen so that you can keep track of how far off from the target number you are. On the bottom of the screen, you'll be advised as to how many times you need to reach your target number before advancing to the next level. Each time you successful reach the target, some pressure is relieved, in essence, adding more time to complete the level. Easy peasy, right? NOPE! The grid where the numbers are located is constantly shifting. Numbers flash on the screen for no more than a second before new numbers appear, bombs randomly appear (resetting your sum to 0) , and a "2X" symbol occasionally pops up (doubling your current sum). Points are earned for each correct target hit and points are lost for hitting bombs or going over the target number. You will need to stay sharp or you will fall to the pressure!

It's insanely addicting and an intruiging game. The game is meant to a quick burst of action but you will find yourself trying to best your score after every game. And for under $3 USD, you can't go wrong!

This game is bad.
The gameplay is not good. And the game is expensive so you have to wait for a good deal if you want to buy it. And hard game and not short so you have to play a lot.
But you can get trading cards.

How it works:

1) You don't buy this game

OR:

2) - You buy this game
- Upper left corner: your sum that you have to make by clicking digits
- Numbers vary and move on the screen
- The upper right corner does most of the math for you
because it tells you what your current sum is
- You: only do a little bit of math
- On hard mode, you have to click faster
- You look at weird quotes about math
- You listen to brainwashing & annoying music
(- You wait for the cards to drop and leave)
- You regret buying this game

i can't read half of what's in this monstrosity. it's supposed to be about quickly identifying numbers and i can't read the most important ones because the developer is apparently a man stuck in the year 1997 designing angelfire websites with illegible fonts and interface elements that he thinks he looks stylish

Pressured is a clever little indie puzzle game by Paul Marrable. I really like it, even though it makes me feel like an idiot sometimes [most the time], especially when the pressure meter starts shaking and I start panic-clicking and failing. (DONT PANIC)

The base concept is actually pretty neat. There are "TV" Screens you need to click on that have numbers on them. Each level has a randomly generated target number that you need to get to a certain number of times (Let's say the number is 10). You can do 4+6, 9+1, 5+4+1, etc. But be careful, the screens rotate pretty quick, and the more clicks you take, the more points it takes away from you in the end. The higher the level is, the higher the number is, and the less time you have (or the more time I spend thinking, I'm not sure).

A couple tips-
*Read the tips at the bottom of the main screen. I didn't, jumped right into the gameplay and immediately failed. Like, read the tutorial.
*Speaking of, The tutorial is immensely helpful. And even so, you still may take a few tries before you get the hang of it.
*A few levels into easy, and you'll unlock normal.
*If your score is misbehaving and you need to reset it, you can click a bomb. I've noticed that this likes to push all the TV panels to lower numbers too.
*The unlocks are meant to be read in order, but are not unlocked in order.
*I find for the first level if the sum is greater than 10 it always seems to be a bit more of a struggle, and makes the ensuing levels a little more difficult. If it is 10 or less that first level is a breeze.
*If you find yourself still struggling, head back to easy for practice, the timer is more forgiving, but the TV screens seem to go the same rate.
*The longer you play, the more number associations you make, and the better you get.

I think the poetry unlocks that create a story are a nice addition, and give you something to strive for instead of just a high score. It makes Pressured more than 'just a puzzle game'. I think it's quirky, and has unique qualities that make it stand out. I recommend Pressured and say it is worth the price point, on sale or not. Also, that song will be stuck in my head for the rest of the day...week...year... ><

As someone who is not very quick on their feet with the maths, you'd think I would hate an experience like this - but that is absolutely not the case. The music, the art, and the general vibe all come together to form something very special (and the unlocks are just the icing on an already very tasty cake).

Something interesting developed as I played - I got to see what sort of numbers, or sums, I was more mentally inclined to "solve", and which ones I tended to have a harder time with. It's a rare treat that you get to play a game that shows you exactly how your brain is wired in certain ways. So, you could also look at this as a chance to improve something mentally - to raise your own average by tackling something you might not be so good at - and that is AWESOME.

This game is a steal for the price of a coffee drink, and unlike said beverage, you get to keep this forever and ever!

Game sucks. Bad music. Bad choice of lettering and poorly filled in letters and numbers to boot. Crappy background. Plot is unintelligable at the start and good luck getting to any more of it.

So the over all feel of the game is. Anoyed by music, squinting at numbers you can't quite see; all while the game quickly pressures you out of time. It's the opposite of fun.

It doesn't lie about what the game is about, but I wouldn't recommend it at all. You essentially click the numbers and add them up to another number within a time limit.

I'd rather play with a calculater.

Click numbers that add up to a target sum before the steam rises too high. That is the extent of Pressured.

It's a little unsettling to see posts about a making a sequel that showcases basic functionality a player would expect in the original game. I'm sick of seeing developers use the shotgun approach to game development, selling proof of concepts and ideas instead of putting actual effort turning those concepts and ideas into quality games.

I was hoping for a math-related puzzle game.

I got an extremely fast-paced arithmetic exercise that would not have been out of place in my second-grade math class. While I suppose this does technically fit the above criteria, it was certainly not what I was looking for.

Time to recommend that sweet little game called Pressured!
I bought it out of pure curiosity, because of its surprisingly cheap price, and because I'm hell of a Puzzle-game lover!

Now, that may sound weird, but my biggest peeves in videogames, are mathemathics, skill/quickthinking, and TIMERS. Since that game was based on all those mechanics at the same time, I definitly had to give it a try, because I'm a man, I CAN DO IT!

PressuredIt has something really addictive, you know? That little thing that makes you go : "I have half-an-hour left before I go to work, and that only enough for a short game session, so let's play Pressured!"

Indeed, it isn't the kind of game on which you'd spend 2 straight hours (Or, who knows? If you're such a fan like that), but it's perfect to kill some time, and play now and then, once or twice a day, just to relax and get better.

Basically, you're given a target sum, and you must click on the figures that appear on the screen to reach that target through additions.
But the clever part, is that you cannot use the same LAST number twice in a row! For instance, if you finished a sum with a 1, this number will turn into a bomb on the next turn (bombs wipe all numbers from the screen), and you cannot use it to complete your next sum. It prevents you to do the same additions over and over, or just click 1 a thousand times to win the game.

In my case, I mostly use the game for its intellectual aspect, as I'm really terrible with mathematics, and even more with mental arithmetic. I found Pressured being amazingly useful to train that ability, while having fun.
]
The music isn't really intrusive, hopefully since it would be annoying for a game that requires speed and focus. The only tune of the game is enjoyable, and it feels like the game has some secret to reveal, something mysterious, just like the game itself.

As a randomly-generated game, there's no such thing as "content", "lenght" or "replay value". You play whenever you want to, and that's it! One thing I shoud mention, is the presence of poetry bits, as you unlock the ingame achievements.

Some of these achievements are easy, some require a lot of determination. When you finally achieve them, you're given some fragments of mathematic-related poetry, but will you be skilled enough to unlock them all?

Finally, I would like to mention the fact I strongly recommend the game to support the Flump Studios, especially Paul Marrable, for being a kind-hearted, responsive and caring person towards his game's playerbase, as well as a promising videogame developer; and these reasons themselves are really worth recommending Pressured.

I will eagerly be looking forward to acquiring his future games!
