I really enjoyed Warface until the recent update broke it.

Now it is causing me more stress than fun. It is hard to find a team and when I do find a team the missions will not even load half of the time. If the missions do load then the players often disappear. This game also has a horrific console field of view and I doubt it will ever be changed.

The developers should either:

1) Fix the loading bug and the ping limits.

2) Revert to the last version of the game which actually worked.

3) Refund everyone who bought boosters expecting the game to actually work.

I will come back to this game if it is ever functional again.

Good game if you're in the mood for shooting. you can do well just with the starting weapons, ez. so it's not really p2w. However that's not to say that throwing some money at the game wont improve your experience, and if you play solely free, alot of stuff is locked from you until certain levels/ through xp unlocking. The coop is pretty good too. Overall it's good for a f2p game but it could get boring after you put a few hours into it. But w/e its free, and it's not unfair, I myself have only played it free and have even had the most kda on my team a few times just using the starting weapons. mmkay

Warface had me addicted for a few good hours. At one point, I thought I'd play it much more than I did. In the end, it gave me ~40hrs of fun. Here's how I feel about it:

As an avid FPS player, I do like how the game rewards aiming for the head. Sadly, this can easily lead to people hackusating even the most decent of players. Some assault rifles seem to one-shot people if its a headshot, and that can be frustrating if you're new to the game or just overall very casual. I personally don't have an issue with that but I know people who do.

I also like how the game seperates the servers into two level groups. You start out in the beginner servers which are for players level 1-12, and once you become level 13, you're able to play with anyone who is level 13+. This is nice because it gives players a few hours to gain a grip of the game while playing against people who are just as new. The playing field is made more fair and more balanced, and it keeps everyone as engaged as they should be as they are learning a new game.

An issue that arises with this is, for one, smurfs. Nothing is stopping a veteran from making an alternate account and going on to the beginner servers and curbstomping everyone. I also did this, simply because I wanted to play with lower level friends. Sadly, this issue isn't a new one, and it plagues many games. Pretty much nothing can be done about it, but it deserves to be mentioned.

Moving on, lets discuss the array of weapons. Again, I have mixed feelings about this.

There are many weapons, and each class has just as many as the last to choose from and try out. Sadly, some weapons don't seem to be different enough from others and in some cases, some weapons are straight upgrades from another, rendering one useless. Some weapons are unlocked at certain levels, the majority of them become unlocked at level 13. Sadly, some actually stay locked after you reach level 13, and the game gives no real explanation as to how to unlock them. Rumor has it that a few guns have actually been removed from the game due to being unbalanced, but people who had gotten them before they were purged were able to keep them. This is an obvious oversight on the part of the dev-team and should be adressed.

We haven't even discussed the "crown" weapons...

Each of the four classes has a few weapons that can be unlocked with Crowns, an in-game currency you can earn for doing special ops missions, co-op missions, contracts, etc. You cannot buy these Crowns, but the missions that you are required to do to earn them take hours. Believe me when I say Crowns are hard-earned. The weapons that you can purchase with these Crowns are all blatantly overpowered. The way the dev-team attempts to balance this out is the fact that none of the Crown weapons can be purchased permanently. One week is the maximium amount you can have one. But, if one was to play enough, you could probably earn enough Crowns to purchase another Crown weapon in one week. Basically, the game rewards griding for an overpowered weapon that other people may not have the time or skill to grind for. More or less unfair but it could be justified.

The same general gist goes for armor as well. There are pieces of armor that seem to be straight upgrades. There is also Crown armor. There are also exclusive pieces of Armor that you earn via special missions, etc, that you only get for an hour and the timer starts as soon as you earn it, meaning if you happened to be done playing for the day, welp, too bad, your exclusive reward will expire unless you play for another hour to experience it.

The progression also seems to hit a plateau at about level 15 or so. Not going to go into detail about this too much because frankly I'm tired and plateaus are self-explanitory. If not, refer to www.google.com

-TL;DR-

At the end of the day, Warface is a free-to-play game. The gunplay itself is decent and some of the maps are honestly pretty awesome IMHO. The game rewards people who have played it for as long as it has been available and/or people who are willing to grind for hours and hours, though you can still have competitve and reliable gear as a brand new player. Just don't expect to have the exclusive and shiny gear some others have. (I would not call this game pay-to-win at all.)

This review honestly seems half-baked to me and I might revisit it and edit it, in which case I will list the edits below. Otherwise, thanks for reading and I hope I helped guide you in some way. There are probably a few major details that I forgot to mention- feel free to remind me of them in the comments section below.

Tremendous graphics, much better visuals then most free FPS games such as combat arms or crossfire. Gameplay features sprinting and aim down sights (more similar to cod movement and aiming instead of CS style). This game makes using the sniper rifle very enjoyable since you can use it while running around instead of just camping with the sniper. Finding a game is usually pretty quick and easy since it has a decent sized player base. Another great feature of the gameplay that has been incorporated is grenade cooking, this is much more fun then always having the same wait time like in many fps games, here you can hold the nade for a few seconds and throw it right in front of any enemies face while it instantly explodes. Highly recommend this game to everyone.

While the game itself is decently fun, there are many issues. Added to that, their customer support is horrible.

Personally, I mostly played the co-op mode, since I disliked how the PvP mode was set up. But there is a major catch to how the game works. Sure, you unlock guns and armor just for playing, and can buy some in the in-game store. But anything that's permanent also comes with a durability bar. For the thigns that are slight upgrades to the starter gear, the repair prices are alright. Beyond that, if you want to use a decent gun in a match, expect to spend all of your earnings on repairing it.

And on to their customer support. A few weeks ago, I completed the Special Operation Anubis on Hard mode, and was top on my team, I put in a lot of effort, and it took about 40 minutes to complete. While it was loading the rewards screen, it kicked me out for no reason at all, and treated me as if I hadn't even played the match. I was a bit angry, but I sent in a support ticket letting them know what happened. I waited for a while, and about 5 days later I got a response. The response was one of the support team members asking me for a bunch of diagnostic info. I sent all of it in, and waited patiently again. About a week later, they had never responded, and closed my support ticket considering it "resolved".

I am not happy with the service, and the only reason I palyed was because I enjoyed the co-op mode. Since I was randomly kicked out after completing a match where I should have earned rewards, and I already find repair costs too high, the game is ruined for me, and I have no interest in ever playing it again.

Ok Ive only played this game for a very limited amount of time but i can already tell that its not my cup of tea and here is why. It seems like no one really cares about there class, PVP in perticular no one revives they just rush in with a shotgun, engiees just camp with claymores. in Coop if you get a good team that plays there roles it can be quite enjoyable but the majority of the missions i joined in on were with newer players or not so smart people i guess or people who just didn't care. I would be lowest on the scoreboard with up to 17 revives as medic yet the other people would do nothing but attack attack attack and outscore me. No one will thank you for saving there life or healing them and I can't play any of the other 4 classes because if I don't then the other medics just don't do their job and charge in with that shotgun medic has. Little to no teamwork in my expereance and the helo bosses that you are suppose to use rockets to shoot down. I would be the only one trying to do that as the rest of my team FOR SOME REASON XD would be trying to shoot it with assault rifles and smgs. finally i just could not do it any more. If you have a team of friends to play with this game is amazing its grahics are ok sound is pretty good, the story is rather bland as its pretty much "Yo da guud guy get gud and kill blackwood da enemys" I mean there is no twist blackwood does ALL the tipical EA evil corporation stuff and its just so boring. but like I said try to avoid playing with random people if you can and if i were you i would just avoid PVP in general. OK IM READY FOR THE MASS DOWNVOTES!!!

Edit: Thank you all that has thumbs ups or downed my review i really like feedback also thank you to all that commented :P

This game had potential. It's a lot like COD, and has the unique trait of being very action filled - like you kill or die within seconds of spawning.

But the more you play, the more you realize it's just a cash grab.

1) The best items (and they have stats) require one hell of a grind to get. The thing is, if you wear some of those items to grind, the repair costs practically wipe out your earnings. So it's going to be a looonnnnggg time before you catch up to the twinked out toons.

2) They haven't implemented autobalance, for some reason. Don't be surprised to play a match 8 on 6 the entire time. You'd think a simple swap could be done, but we can't even choose to switch teams. Some matches turn into 8 v 4, and then the 4 keep leaving until it's just 1 or 2 people getting dominated for fifteen minutes.

3) Holy ♥♥♥♥ is there poor balance. So many guns are one shot killers (shotguns and sniper rifles specifically) and with the lack of regional support, you play people who have lag compensated aim, so you'll die after diving into cover many, many times. Of course, if you're completely geared out, you might be able to survive a direct sniper hit, but see point #1.

So yeah, basically a sexy looking shooter that's just a cash grab.

Not Recommended if you are not near NA , EU or TR serve as the August 3rd Update make the ping limite 170 for NA and 200 for EU , also they wont give us an Asia server. Many people from Asia invested a lot of hours and now they are getting kicked for high ping . Why not make the ping limite from the start or why not open a Asia Server ?

A great game for F2P, but honestly if you have a few dollars buy a real game. This game will end up costing you more if you want to play on an even playing field.
I have played warface for over 2 years and I have over 1900 hours on all servers in combination. Some of the bigger issues in warface have been fixed over times. Introduction of fairfight a server side anti-cheat and the introduction of Easy Anti-cheat for client side cheat have reduced a number of cheaters significantly since I started playing. (it’s totally possible to still hack in the game but it it’s much harder and the majority of people of cheaters have given up) Ping limitation (a very new implementation) has almost certainly reduced the amount of laggers in this game. (NA server still has the huge problem of the majority of players playing at a red bar (red bar meaning a 90+ms ping, with players usually have much higher than that). There also has been problems of lag in the past and fps drops but the majority of them have been fixed. There are still quite a few issues and the warface dev team still manage to add the stupidest things to break the game. ATM there is a glitch where you get stuck in the loading screen and you would need restart the game to play again. (in a full day of playing it will happen at least 4-6 times) making it almost impossible to get a scrim going. They are also an auction house where you can buy guns from other users using credits (in-game currency that can only be obtained with real money), some of which are INCREDIBLY OP. They also added a new system of ranked, which is basically like competitive in csgo. PvE is really good if that is what your looking for, there is missions in all kind of difficulties ranging from super easy where it only takes 1 player to compete and others where even 5 might not be enough for a decent team. All in all, not a bad game could use a better server and a better net code. I would say that with $50 you can get good gear and compete with other competitive players.

Aight so hear me out. I LOVED this game, It was and still can be very fun, expecially the coop and spec operations and, since those two are my favorite, I have to give it a bad review for how they ♥♥♥♥♥ it up. FIRST- Interent, i used to play this game alot because it was still kinda playable with ♥♥♥♥ internet, unlike other games i love, but they compleatly took that out and now u get kicked if u get a lag spike, no matter where u are in a game or how far. Ive been disconnected from a spec ops mission 30 minutes in, which is a waste of time and a PAIN in th ♥♥♥. and SECOND-the coop loading. There is a 99% chance that A: someone will not connect leaving u with 4/5 people, B: 3/5 people wikl connect C:2-1/5 people will connect, or nobody willl connect and will all leave. Thats a big one for me, but the biggest and MOST ANNOYING THING about this game right now the how high the possibility of u not being able to join a coop/specops/versus server. it will stay on the loading screen and u have restart the whole game, and sometimes trying again AFTER u restarted it, it will do it AGAIN. IF they were to fix these things than A-i will kiss them B-will write positive reviews and C- play it till i die, so basically-LOVE IT. This game can have SO MUCH potential if they were to fix these things. So that sums up the "a game that fuken some ♥♥♥♥ up for who knows why"
Thanks for your time doe :)

Warface is a free to play first person shooter game. It worked, played ok, looked ok, sounded ok. Has a tutorial. It is a browser game. It has 6 CoOp maps, 9 PVP game modes, 3 special operations. Has team work moves and skills and can require team work. Has a Slide move that is popular and usefull. But has no interesting story. Has four classes, Assault, Medics, Engineer, Recon. You do have to rent and repair your better gear, but it take in-game dollars to buy. Try it out, if you like FPS games.
