Just hit “Buy K” in the game to get to the store and start February with a bang!

New coat of paint for the Kredits shop

When you go to the shop, you will notice that the shop got a new design and now looks more modern. The navigation has also been improved.

This applies only to residents of the European Union (EU): Due to a recent change in the consumer protection legislation in the European Union (you can read more about it and how it applies to digital content here), residents of the EU are now required on every purchase in the shop to accept the “Right of withdrawal”-waiver (“I consent to receive game items before expiry of the withdrawal period and I am aware that I thus lose my right of withdrawal.”) via a checkbox in the purchase flow.

Due to this change in consumer protection legislation we updated our Terms of Service (ToS) and all users will be required to accept the updated ToS on their next login in the Warface Launcher (Beta) in order to access the game.

*Actual prices and Kredits amounts depend on currency and payment method.

January 2015 Clan Challenge: the final stretch

Ahead of us are the last few days before the very first Clan Challenge ends. As you may remember from the mid-season article, we have predicted that the competition will intensify, and this proved true in the case of the European server. The battles are fierce and the top 10 composition changes daily, if not hourly. We are sure that we will see more than one surprise by the time this season ends on each of the servers.

One of the strategies the leading clans used in their push to the top was to take advantage of the considerable boost fighting in Clan Wars can bring to their overall points balance. Experience points earned in Clan Wars – when converted into Clan Points – are worth three times as much compared to those earned in standard Versus and Co-op matches. Keep that in mind if you want to climb the ladder quickly!

Assemble your clans to gather the last points in January. Push hard to secure total victory. Don’t let the competition beat you to it! The outcome of the Clan Challenge depends on you!

Fair competition is our priority

We have removed a large amount of clan points contributed by the players who have been banned for cheating since the start of the Clan Challenge (Friday, January 16th ). This has impacted the current standings on all three servers, effectively shuffling the composition of the ladders.

Fair play is of utmost importance for the Warface team, and details about this procedure have been communicated in the Clan Challenge FAQ on our forums at the beginning of this season.

Well , some friends have finally convinced me to play this game. When I saw the trailer I was very confident and excited about this little title crytek have decided to launch. It showed me pretty interesting mechanics and things I have never seen in a free to play game. And when i actually saw that crytek made it i jumped up and i told myself : this means a new era for free to play games.
Well , i was wrong . I was so very wrong.

The game

The game focuses on straight infantry combat. You start the game and jump right in the tutorial with no explanation about what is going on . Some female voice tells you everything that you need to know about classes , movement mechanics , weapons etc. After you finish the tutorial you get a weapon which only lasts a week ( I will talk about this MAJOR problem later on ) . You get to choose whether you want to jump in a game through matchmaking or through dedicated servers. I truly recommend dedicated servers because you can find a game faster and you skip the 20 minutes wait time until you find a server that is empty in matchmaking.

The gameplay

The gameplay itself has some next-gen elements in it , such as : helping a teammate climb a higher structure by boosting him up , reviving ( not really next-gen but oh well ) and also SLIDING . I said SLIDING in bold text because i want to point out that it is OP ( OverPowered ) , meaning that when you slide , you can also shoot. This makes it so that when you see a dude , slide and shoot towards him and he's dead. No matter his skill , level etc , he will not notice you and you will get an easy kill. It was slightly nerfed since i first played this game in the closed beta , but it is still OP.
The game also has classes , which are primitive and remind me of Battlefield 4 . You get the same generic classes you see in every shooter ( medic , sniper , engineer , and rifleman ) . The one that somehow stands out is the rifleman , which is somehow a support from Battlefield , but with the ability to give himself ammo without droping it .
Anyway , you've probably played other shooters and you know how they handle.
The gunplay is very unbalanced. You start out with some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ weapons which are actually waterguns because all their stats are set to 1 ( out of 100 ) , and all of your enemies are higher levels with weapons that seem like very small miniguns combined with Counter Strike AWP's . In other words , you will lose every single battle if you don't have proper cover.
The maps are very small . Actually , they are smaller than Nuketown in Call of Duty . No need for more words here

The main problem with the game

MICROTRANSACTIONS EVERYWHERE!!!!
Yes , you will be swarmed in little ads with weapons or clothing that doesn't do anything . These items will continue to appear on the screen until you buy them . And the worst part ? You will struggle to kill and kill and kill for money , money , money , and when you have enough money to buy another ♥♥♥♥♥♥ item with all the stats 2 , you will rage and throw your PC out the window when you will notice that it will only be available for one week . Of course , until you buy a Premium account that will cost extra money ( real money )

The final verdict
Overall , i DO NOT recommend this game. Don't let the screenshots and trailers fool you. It's not worth it. It will never be , because this is what the corporations do to the developers: They make them create unfinished games like this one

So... my Warface review. Well, I'll start out by saying that I was part of the very early closed betas of warface, and played it almost daily starting around Febuary 2013 until about November 2013. I had a large group of friends I played with, and one by one they slowly stopped. Back then, it was pretty buggy and there were a lot of hackers, so once I saw that Warface was posted on Steam, I decided to give it a shot.

I really genuinely enjoyed playing Warface. Cumulative between betas, I invested about 250-400 hours. (All stats and time counters reset every time a new beta started, or large changes were made so it was hard to keep track.) It was a great free to play game with a lot of maps and options. Around this time one year ago, they implemented the kredit system, so people could invest real hard earned money for weapons, boxes, armor, etc. I, being very into the game spent about $200 (regretfully) over the course from October to November 2013. I was dead set on getting the PEG Bullpup shotgun. All $200 was spent, and I was left without the shotgun. A friend of mine rolled ONE box, and got it first try. I was furious. Ultimately, this is why I stopped playing almost a year ago.

Fast forward to when it posted on steam, I decided to reinstall the game and try again. Now, when it posted on Steam, you could use the actually gold currency to buy boxes. I still had about $800,000 from when I played, so I said screw it and tried for the PEG Bullpup again. (Kredits are the real money currency, and gold is acquired from PVP and PVE missions) If you have played Warface, you can understand JUST HOW MUCH $800,000 is. I used every freaking dollar and did not get the gun.

TL;DR The gameplay is great, if youre in a lobby with well rounded players or have some friends to play with. The pay-to-win factors kills any enjoyment of actually unlocking stuff.

I'll probably continue to play this game, and hate myself for doing so.

I am really, really surprised how Developers of Warface manage to get the game worse every time I log in (almost in all aspects...).

Just a few of them - lags are getting worse, entering game as well and gameplay getting stupidly bad, same maps... What is really the worst part is that you clearly feel WF forcing you to buy stuff,,,, And that is the reason why I am not going to do that ;).

There is a lot of good and bads about this game. The game is fun when theres no hackers or no lags (which is very very rare to happen).

It's a shame because Warface has a lot of potential to be great...

I have a mixed opinion about the game. While it can be a fun enough game, there's a fair amount of cons that ruin the fun. I do and don't recommend this game, and here's why :

Pros :
-Guns don't completely overpower one another
-The game keeps you going by having to unlock things
-Most Co-Op missions are swapped out daily
-Fair amount of upgrades for your character
-Co-Op requires a good amount of teamwork
*This also means that the team has to consist of at least 3 of the 4 classes with a team of 3^, if you want to be successful
-Easy-to-use controls
-Actions are easy to do and are beneficial

Cons :
-Co-Op isn't that great, gets boring after the first few co-op missions
*The game requires players to play Co-Op to unlock some new gear
-Most weapons require real money to keep permanently, instead of 1, 7, or 30 days
-PvP isn't very fun after a while due to various reasons:
*People dropshot too often
*Spawn camping is insane
*Medics serve little purpose in PvP since you can respawn right after death
*Maps are incredibly small, disabling a need for any tactical play
*Snipers are rendered useless on almost every map, due to the small map size
-Co-Op gets to be a bit repetitive
-Great weapons are cheap, allowing new players to get an amazing weapon
*This is both a pro and a con, but listed under con because it takes away some of the purpose of Co-Op
-Medic is used more for close quarters rather than reviving teammates
*The medics are equipped with a shotgun, while other classes aren't

Overall, I would recommend this game to anybody who's played Fps's (First-Person-Shooters) such as CoD when it was good (Before MW3 in my opinion), Battlefield, and Rainbow Six. Don't expect the game to be amazing, for me it's more a game to play when I'm bored with nothing else to do.

I've put plenty of time and money into this game to get the whole experience.

PROS: Good co-op missions

TONS of generally speaking well designed pvp maps

Great animation quality

Great gear can generally be unlocked without spending a penny

Great visuals

Intuitive real time weapon customization

Good two player co-op interaction such as climbing assistance, picking up knocked down comrades, and the basic healing, armoring, and ammo filling mechanics

CONS: Every single game you play will be laggy, regardless of if it's co-op or pvp, regardless of where you live, and regardless of what your connection speed is

If your kd/r is above 1.5 you will be accused of hacking constantly, if it's above 2.0 you will be kicked from every pvp server you join

Unlocking the great gear I mentioned earlier will require between 300-600 hours of gameplay depending on skill level and what tier of gear suits you best

In general, gameplay is fairly limited in variety beyond run, point, click, kill

When you quick join a game chances are you will be limited to TDM on whatever map is at the top of the selection list at the time, typically meaning you will only be playing pvp on 1 map every time for a few weeks on end unless you want to use standard search and play with people who have sunk hundreds of hours in the game in Plant The Bomb.

If you want to get great kit of the start prepare to spend at least $100 to cover all 4 of your classes with a good gun and some boots, gloves, and body armor

Gunplay seems to lack knowledge of actual firearms. You will automatically charge your auto and semi-auto weapons everytime you reload, regardless of whether your bolt is locked to the rear or you're tac reloading. Recoil typically means your weapon will vibrate and your muzzle will float upwards at a constant rate. And the classic holographic and red dot sight faux pas of reticles being visible without actually ADS

Player movement feels sluggish and loose without the ability to make tight adjustments quickly

Many maps have issues with hitboxes overstretching their objects and creating invisible walls. This is especially noticeable when firing tight into cover.

This game pretends to be a lot of things that it isn't.
It wants to be Battlefield, but it lacks the gameplay and intensity
It wants to be Call of Duty, which it does pretty well but then manages to completely make a ♥♥♥♥ out of itself by making the controls feel as if you respawn out of a vat of vaseline every time.
There you go, slipping and sliding through the awfully tiny maps like a snail on the run from an evil saltshaker - speaking of which, the guns sound like salt in a saltshaker when you put a silencer on them.

I also tried some TDM and got dumped in a (Rediculously tiny) map with a handful of containers and crates. And when I say tiny. I mean, you can run from your own spawn into the enemy spawn in less than 10 seconds.
After dying three times, I already had found the 'perfect grenade angle' to throw grenades from my own spawn into the opposing team's.. Every damn time I spawned.
I ended up #1 on the scoreboard because of this deliciously fury inducing tactic, as my opponents were very keen on telling me.

The game leaves me crying in the corner with tears in my eyes and a slightly ruptured sphincter.

The verdict
"But she looked so gentle on the eyes"

Warface is a Free-To-Play shooter that originally got its start using the terrible browser-based "gface" service. The publisher obviously saw that was a mistake and eventually moved it to Steam, a much wiser decision. As for the game itself, its a Call of Duty Style FPS that boasts using the CryEngine despite not exactly being the pinnacle of everything the engine has to offer. The gameplay is everything you would expect from COD except being F2P. The game has the basic modes you expect from this type of game, which may be disappointing to those looking for some variety, though the game offers a FANTASTIC Co-op experience with you and several other players progressing through levels and defeating enemies and bosses. It does have some technical issues and a lack of modes, but despite this, if you're sick of paying $60 for the same COD game every year but still want to scratch that itch, pick up this game, Blacklight Retribution, or Soldier Front 2 and save yourself the money.

THE GOOD
+ Gameplay is decent
+ Graphics get the job done
+ Is just as fun as its more expensive alternatives
+ Is a Free alternative to buying COD again
+ Maps are FREE, no map packs.

THE BAD
- Gameplay & Modes while fun, lack in variety
- Community is small
- Technical issues and lag have been reported for some people
- Gameplay often feels sluggish & slower paced than others
- Bulletsponge hitboxes

THE UGLY
The fact this game started as a terrible browser only title

BOTTOM LINE
If you love the COD gameplay, but hate paying $60 plus map-packs, this is a decent alternative. Although i'd personally recommend Soldier Front 2 or Blacklight Retribution over this one.

Passable 5/10

As I was looking through the reviews of this game I noticed that all of the most helpful ones were negative, I couldn't believe this as I have been playing this game for about a month now and am having a great time. I decided to write this review and come up with a counter argument for each of the most popular criticisms.

"Pay to win" Its F2P what do you expect? They do need to make money! Its actually much less P2W then other games I've played. The P2W part is that you can use real money to buy "Kredits" which you can use to buy in game items xp boosts and revive coins, I'm going to address each of these seperatly.

Weapons: Most of the weapons you can buy with Kredits you can also buy with in game money and only last a certain amount of time therefor making it under powered. Even if you can't buy it with in game money you can usually find a gun almost equal to it and buy that, even if you had all the best items in the game a guy who just started playing could beat you, its more about skill than anything else.

XP Boosts: Pretty much what it sounds like, you get x amount of xp toward the next rank for completing a lvl and an xp boost increases the mount for a bit, not not necesary not OP not a problem.

Revive Coins: The most P2W item in the game, basicly you use revive coins when you die (ONLY in PVE not PVP) to come back to life, you have a limit of 3 per lvl, kinda P2W'ish but not horrible, you can choose to buy them or not you can have fun either way.

My final point is that its free, even if it isn't as good as Battlefield or Call of Duty its fun and its something new and different, why not give it a try? It might surprise you.

looking through the most helpful reviews this week i noticed that most of them are positive, aparently the negative ones are from a long time ago before the game improved.

Lots of people hate the F2P games because they all say its a rip off, and that your going to spend loads of money to actually have a good experience with the game. Now how do you think a small company (if I'm right) is going to make a profit out of a F2P game without that? Sure they could throw in advertisements and stuff, but really, they arent going to make much.
This is a really great game, sure the graphics aren't as good as they could be, yet certain aspects of this game are really well done. The co-op mode is awesome - theres loads of maps that really do require teamwork, without that you'll crumble. The games also take 10-20 minutes, or some others that take up to an hour, and sure they dont have dialogue or a campaign, but still, you'll be left with a well done game. Theres 4 classes: Sniper, Medic, Engineer and Rifleman (or assault idk), which can go even further with the co-op. I personally think that this game hits all of the reequirements for co-op, and more. The only things I dont like about this game is the reactions into the game - Shots seem to be held back for fractuions of a second, which my guess would be the tick system is low. Overall, great game, 9/10

Do not believe the other negative reviews!
I have not spent anything on this game yet find it easy to rank up and unlock great weapons to keep permanently only few weapons use a rental service... Also it is not pay to win because I usually top leaderboards when I do matches and I'm playing against VIP Members, so yeah....
GREAT GAME!
