Half Life 2 is awesome; good story, decent graphics, and it was revolutionary for it's time. Half Life 2: Update makes this even better! New features, better graphics, bug fixes, you name it. I'm a major HL2 fan, I approve of this masterpiece.

Plays just fine, I always wished they took the lighting from lost coast and put it on the whole game! Looks awesome and finally gave me a reason to play this game again

Really enjoying playing through HL2 again, especially with the improvements in visual quality to go along with a game that I never get tired of playing!

Better than original one. They enhanced the graphics, but nothing changed about gameplay or design.
If you play this first and the original second, you won't like the original half life 2.

This was a good update of Half Life 2 and definitely made the game even more beautfiul than it already was. And while it did fix a lot of bugs it also added some new ones which are even more annoying than the ones it fixed. It also changed some of the positions of lamba locations, regular loot caches and etcetera. I personally wasn't happy with this. Aside from that the detailed shadows and water affects were awesome!!

This game rocks! 12 years old, but still one of the best games ever! And now with better graphics thanks to this community made update.
This game got it all. Great story, scares and creepiness, wide open areas, mines, all kind of guns, airships, drones and zombielike headcrabs.
Enjoy going to City 17. Just don't go to Ravenholm. We don't go there anymore......

Heard this game was an absolute classic and that it was a must play.
Wanted to see what all the fuss was about.
2 hours in I think i'd said the words 'They just don't make them like this anymore'. About 267 times.
Story doesn't make a great deal of sense to me, but my God is this game good!!!

Its easy to tell this community-developed update for Half-Life 2 is a labor of love.It has added so much to this game.To me its like a complete remake of the game.It has given new life to an aging franchise.Obviously you have to own Half-life 2 to install this update. At the moment its selling for $9.99 on steam, but it goes on sale every so often.I'm pretty sure I bought mine on sale.To the Community-Developers,Thanks so much for your awesome work..!
