I would reccomend this game to others but it would mainly be for people who need to know the most basic things since there is only his 4 room apartment to explore. The game itself is interesting and I personally got the japanese learning DLC so i would reccomend that the developpers insert some sort of alphabet learning system for the game as well since if you don't know the alphabet there's not much you can do. Either way the game was very helpful and I enjoyed it. :)

The people complaining in these reviews are stupid, this game or language tool, dont learn you to speak a language fluent, you use this tool with your classes, podcasts, audio tapes or whatever you use to learn the language your currently learning!

This is a great tool to learn and remember the names of a lot of objects and I find it really useful at the moment, I have come to the point in my japanese learning where I can begin to make my own sentences, so getting all these names on different everyday objects thrown at me, is extremely useful!

The Japanese dlc. Works well if you want to remember how to say the word, but that is about it. When it comes to writing you may want to use another program. Japanese technically has four writing systems, romanji (English letters), hiragana, katakana (used for foreign words) and finally kanji (Adopted Chinese characters). So only use for speaking and understanding. Whereas for writing there are plenty of free apps on Google play store to use, such as kanji recogniser and obenkyo. Having said that, the Japanese spoken is authentic, spoken by proper natives. But uses basically the 'ru' form. Which is usually only appropriate to use with a friend. Due to the Japanese having a near strict manners. Because of the constant repetition needed to 'excel' a word it does help with memorizing.

Bought this game in order to give me a slight edge when i'm beginning my japanese studies soon, even though i have only played this less than 3 hours i believe i have seen most of the features this game has to offer.

That said, the pronounciation in this dlc is quite clear, and i have been using the romaji alphabet to learn the names of different items and then trying to remember them, the romaji helps there alot. (Using the other alphabets require a basic understanding of the language that this software simply cannot give you).

That being said, i think that if you use this effectively alongside your regular japanese studies, be it in a classroom, or online courses, i believe that this can be of great aid to you.
