In this day and age of multiplayer video games, whether it be by playing Smash Brothers with friends in the same room or Call of Duty through online co-op, tabletop games have become a thing of the past. Hardly anyone plays them these days, allowing the cardboard games to collect dust in the closet or remain unwanted on the shelves of Target.
Tabletop Simulator helps you remember the fun that those board games gave you as a child. With a seemingly endless amount of games to select, your fun is only limited by the power of your computer and the availability of your friends. I do not joke when I say that there is at least one game on here for everyone. Uno, Scrabble, Monopoly, Sorry!, Cards Against Humanity, and even a game about Cthulhu are all here. There is no limit to the amount of games, and even then, you can always use the game to lay out a table for a game of your creation!
However, this game does have one major problem. It's rather buggy at times, and the lag is a massive pain to deal with at times. There were times I played this game and I wanted to quit because I couldn't move my pieces the way I wanted to. It was a mess to deal with and it's easy to drive you up the wall. I realize that this is mostly because the game is early access, but I do hope they fix that soon.
But really, I would give this game a try. Find some friends and play some board games together. It will help you remember the days before we relied on handhelds and consoles for gaming entertainment. And really, is there anything better than taking a trip down memory lane sometimes?
