Small cartoonized game based on hard soil of "King's Bounty" and "Heroes of Might and Magic" and originally made for smartphones. Contains easy short linear campaign for wanna-be-knight with "they burned my village" motivation... and sometimes-challenging survival mode.
Is it worth buying? Well, yeah, especially if you get one of those 75-90% discount coupons. Steam cards for this game are quite high, so you have a chance to get more money than you paid. Other good thing for a game collector is simple achievements. With some basic planning and skill you can get all 21 in 1 walkthrough, which takes from you approx. 3 hours.

Overall - not of great value, not a mustbuy, but looks nice, adequately priced, and have some chances to challenge you for a short time. 8/10.

PS: I get it as present from Bear, so I'd like to thank him one more time there! Спасибо!

Very fun short game, and theres apprently a part two, so dont worry about it being THAT short. There isnt any real challenge. Just some good old thinking needed, even then, you could screw up majorly, and still suceed.

Enjoy ^-^

Braveland is a turn based strategy for beginners to the genre. There is a bonus given for losing battles to encourage players to never give up. Healers are more effective as offensive casters. There is all the sheer basics that make up a TBS, but nothing more. If you are a beginner, or you want to introduce your children in to the genre, or you really want a game that is easy to max out achievements on, give it a shot. If you are looking for a solid challenge, you're simply not going to find it here.

Edit: Since my last review, I decided to play it all the way through in all the different modes. Hard mode wasn't much different than normal, but did offer a little more boosted enemy AI. Failure still pays out. Survivor mode was actually a fair challenge. Unit death is real, and you have to buy units between battles. This gets tricky, as they only offer specific units for sale between each battle. This makes healers imperative, but also puts a huge target on their head. The longer you last, the bigger bonus they will give you next time around. Survivor mode also cuts out all role play, which speeds up the game drastically. Even with survivor mode, the game simply isn't as tough as the Heroes of Might & Magic series, which I would recommend to those who found this game too easy.

It's a very fun, short, yet simple game. It's mostly straight forward, pretty much just a good time waster.

You can say it's "friendly". You can spend money the wrong way but still get back to track in just a few more battles. Nice couple hours of fun, and worth the price - especially if you have a discount.

+ Interprétation simplifiée de la formule Heroes of Might & Magic
+ Idées et équilibre intéressants
- Qualité visuelle inégale
- Se renouvelle très peu malgré une durée de vie très courte
- Laisse l'impression général d'un jeu incomplet

7/10

I'd say it's exactly what you can see on the screenshots.

Not so sure about "old school", feels more like a phone game with the on rails movement, very simple and clean interface, and it's definitely not as deadly as the old school games I remember. Playing on normal, if you walk into something too hard and lose your entire army, you get to keep the army anyway and the poor men collect some gold for you to reinforce so you can try again.

It's entertaining enough for €4, but not much more. I'd say buy it if you're bored, like this type of games and want something new. Not a must have in the game collection by any means.
