About This Game

A thousand years of peace are shattered by betrayal, political upheaval, and war. Play as the hero Carrion Iblis, as the story of Siegfried, the Empire's true successor, plunges the world further and further into darkness.

Immerse yourself in a world of conflict as several opposing factions clash for dominance over the Archaelus Empire and its people. Take up the mighty blade of Carrion Iblis as he and his friends tear through a massive web of manipulation. Theirs is a journey that will crack open the doors of destiny, setting the stage for a truly epic struggle for the fate of the world!

In this adventure, Carrion must clash against enemies from within and without. He will face down his own countrymen, repel an invasion of undead foes, conquer his personal demons, find love, and challenge the power of the heavens.

Deadly Sin 2 is a 20-30 hour fantasy RPG epic. It is not a direct sequel to Deadly Sin 1; much like the games in the Final Fantasy series, Deadly Sin 2 is merely the next in a line of spiritual successors to the original. Deadly Sin 2 boasts a massively improved battle and menu system, as well as all-new features.

1) A fully scripted, back-view, conditional turn-based battle system by Mithran. This is a sophisticated evolution of the traditional RPG battle formula that includes a winner-take-all threat system, and new stats, including Speed, Build, Shield Block, MP Regen, and Equipment Weight.

2) An original soundtrack written by the game creator, Harmonic.

3) A large amount of dynamic, enjoyable, and rewarding side-quests that bring the world to life!

4) Augment system: customize any weapon, shield, or helm/body/arm armor with augments that you find or purchase around the world. Augments add stats, status effects, elemental changes, and other enhancements that are endlessly fun to play around with.

5) In-depth skill point system: each PC has a unique skill tree. Invest skill points gained from leveling up or completing quests. If you don't like how your character is developing, you can have your skill points refunded at an inn!

6) Monster nodes: find these nodes to disable random encounters and obtain skill points. If you want to fight enemies again, the monster nodes can be turned back on at your will!

7) Mouse interface: you can use the mouse to do almost everything, including movement. You can choose not to use the mouse by simply moving it off screen. Use Alt-Enter to toggle full screen mode.

System Requirements

Let me put one thing straight : I am both a vet of old snes/nes/psx rpg's and I am well aware of the hate rpg maker games get. I am in the position to be able to rightly judge the quality to the good old days, and played enough rpg maker to realize the lazy games from the good ones so I hope you think of my point of view as a fair one.

This developer makes quality on par with the past consoles. The usual problem with rpg maker is that the gameplay is stale and the character personalities are paper thin. However, this dev went out of his way to make a unique combat system based on holding aggro with heavy armor characters that would easily be loved were it made on the old consoles and actually took the time to create and develop characters. The story is good and unpredictable, the gameplay is solid, and the music is surprisingly catchy. There are bad rpg maker games, and there are good ones. This one is great. Highly recommended.

So I actually wanted to take some time to review this game because I feel it deserves it. First off I would like to state this is an RPGmaker title and gameplay wise it plays like Phantasy Star/FF series. For an RPGmaker game I have been truly impressed.

It has your standard leveling up system but with a few different things that change it from the original formula. For example you get skill points through gaining levels, completing side quests/main quests and monster nodes which you can collect in dungeon areas. You use the skill points to learn various abilities for each person in your party. Also there are 9 skills and 3 passives for each character in your party and each skill can have be leveled 1 to 5. So with one character in my party I focused on her fire spells and dark magic, yet if I wanted to I could have went Lightning/Frost or the many other combos which are possible with her. I personally feel you can choose any skills and make it through the game.(healing magic is a must though!)

The story is alright. There are some actual parts where I was really into it; taking this base over or defending a castle(Trying not to spoil anything there) What I do like is that alot of the dialoge feels mature and well written. Except with some of the characters. They seem like the average comedy relief anime people which to me felt generic. Other then that it is pretty solid I'd say.

The graphics are your classic SNES era or equivalent. I personally like old games since they old a nostalgic charm over me. Overall I would recommend this to any person who enjoys a good JRPG.

Great Game. I just spend 115 hours and finished the game. Had a great time, and definitely got my money worth.
I am really surprised that a RPG game is of such a high level.

The story line is well thought out, and the game mechanics is interesting. I also loved the concept of monster notes too. You can turn monster nodes on for grinding, and off if you need to explore.

I would highly recommend this game to old school rpg players.

Fun game put about 15 hours into beating it. Very solid old schol RPG made by RPG maker. Not alot of excitement or crazy plot twists but nicely executed without any serious jumps in difficulty or excessive grinding. The Monster stone system is great and really aids in not having to grind through monsters while retrecking through areas.

I bought this game on a whim and am I glad I did!

Prepare for a nostalgia overload as well as a few hidden easter eggs in this one, people. Made in the classic 1990's RPG style, with good dialogue and plotline, and a very interesting skill system, this one's sure to please!

I've only played around an hour and a half of the game, but so far my experience is positive. There seems to be quite a few side-quests, an arena, a slot machine, and a poker minigame, so there's plenty to do if the main quest bores you, and the dialog is well-written. It plays like a Dragon Quest game (with a 7th Sagaesque back-view for combat) with a well-written cast, intriguing story, and fun battle mechanics. And best of all, there's a visual Threat meter! One of the better RPG Maker games I've played.

Okay this will seem weird but I will emphacize this, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PLAY THE ORIGINAL TO UNDERSTAND THE SEQUEL! This game is so much better than the original in so many ways! Nearly everyone can be a big time damage dealer, the difficulty curve though present is nowhere near how it was in the original, only the final boss gave me any real trouble. The only downside is you HAVE to make sure you use your skill point boost crystals cause you have VERY limited item space I believe you can only carry 20 of an item at most. Overall this game is a huge improvement over the original.

Well this is something different, ive gotten hooked on an rpg maker game. I neevr thought this day would acually come alas it has. I havent finished the game but from the looked of it and from the other reviews im not even close.

Here is a taste of what you would get if you were to get this game(its always under £1 on ♥♥♥ so its a steal).

Its very well polished, no mistakes in grammer or spelling
Charecters are well thought out and consistent
Adult humor, not to the nsfw zone but its funny in its own way, its like they are not going for the in your face borderlands style of humor which is great as ive not played a game like that for a while.
Old school rpg well everything.

There are a few nic nacs that may be a problem, my biggest issue that is i cant use wasd for movement, it has to be arrows or the numberpad, im not creating macros for this game as that is effort.

RPG maker locks a game at 640x480 which is pathetic to be honest, they have software limitations, you can fullscreen it however if you have multiple monitors then its a problem, i normally watch netflix while playing a game, if i with to fullscreen which of course i do then i cant watch netflix on my second monitor due to the painful scaling.

The main storyline isnt the most spectacular story ever however its good enough to keep you interested, it certainly is rather retro and i cant complain about that.

While you could say that its casual if you turn up the difficulty the game will reach out of the monitor and backhand you in the face, enemies seem to vary from doing next to no damage to Ruby died, its always Ruby.

Skill trees actually matter in this game with is awesome and allows you to change your play style accordingly, all of the charecters have their roles and it plays out well.

Teresa has nice leg muscles.

Lengthy compaign, lots of side quests and a nice epilogue
Great music
Challenging combat on hard difficulty.

Random encounter is a bit annoying as it takes a while to get to the moster nodes.
Some late game dungeons are confusing.

Overall a nice game.

The game is so good.

The battle system is well done, and makes you want to fight the enemies instead of retreating (because if you want to run you'll have some consequences) and you'll never see yourself pressing attack and attack over and over, overall the battles were engaging and tatical.

On the otherhand, outside of the battles were these mazes... and I will say the first few 'dungeons' they were pretty fun and challenging to get around and find the correct ways, but as the game progresses through these dungeons they just keep getting worst and more repeated... I found myself towards the end of the game with this scenario, "I found the exit, oh wait but where's the quest item!?". I felt towards the end of the game, the dungeons were rushed and almost had no sense of directions. I won't lie, but I just walked to random area till I eventually got to an exit.

Side quests were very well worth. The leveling/equiping system was very exciting and fun to play around on which build I wanted on each character.

**Gameplay - 7/10**

Audio was pretty good, I really didn't listen to it most of the time, but I do believe they had the same sound track for almost every dungeon(I may be wrong). Battle music were alright, nothing memorable although, but nothing to complain about.

Graphics were pretty good, the mapping they did in this game was top-notch, not sure if they used parallaxing at all, and if they didn't I applaud them. I thought the maps were really well done, espically the towns for their simplistic layout and directions (knowing where things are).

**Graphics/Audio - 8/10**

The story was ehh... I mean it seemed pretty cliche at some moments, but I think if you were to play a cliche rpg, this game would be the one. I say that there were SOME cliche moments, but those were only SOME moments, overall the story of the game was compelling and dynamic, but I did feel the character development was sometimes at a lost, also I did feel there were some questions to be asked. The story was decent, nothing memorable or different, but I mean it was still a great story.

Dialogue was GREAT, very good. Funny moments were funny, serious moments were serious. You could tell by the dialogue and I think the creator did a great job taking words and creating a tone with it. Very well done.

**Story - 7/10**

Overall the game was pretty well done. Dialogue really helped set the tone of the game which helped the somewhat cliche story and characters. Battles were very tatical and engaging, as well as for the quest. The game does some things that are just incredible, but does some things that are just straight out annoying, which killed my experience with the game and the story.

In the end although, I would recommend this game for any RPG fans.

**Overall - 7.5/10**

I like this game overall, I really do....but the constant poison is extremely aggrivating. It feels like every damn mob poisons you which damage wise isn't bad. The problem is the screen flashes red every fracking step I take and it's hurting my eyes. If you could carry more than 20 items to cure the fracking frack it would be fine but no, you contantly get fracking poisoned and the screen fracking flashes fracking red all the fracking time. Good gods.

And then on top of that Ruby's attack makes the screen flash for every single mob for every single attack. I swear if I finish this game I am going to go blind.

I generally like the rest of the game though.

Another RPG maker game.

But with enough cool stuff added that it's pretty good. Skill tree, aggro/threat system, difficulty levels, colosseum, drawn character portraits and battle portraits, a good story. Augment system is interesting too.

I have little to say that the top positive reviews haven't already said, but this game was good enough for me want to leave a review/positive rating for it.

Very pleasantly surprised, I picked this up in the RPG Maker bundle during the Summer Steam Sale and couldn't be happier with my purchase. The characters were likeable, the plot didn't drag on or stall out (although a few spots were a bit confusing) but overall it's a fantastic game I'd recommend to anyone who enjoys the 90's era of RPG's. I rolled the credits at just over 21 hours with characters at lvl 67 and my only gripe was wishing there was a way to play afterwards to finish up the few small things I didn't do.

But when all is said and done, it's a great game. The skill trees are well done (take my advice and get your important skills to lvl 5 asap, the bonuses are SO worth it), the augmenting gives a nice additional boost to your items (putting poison chance on your whip is baller). Anyway, I could go on but then you wouldn't be playing yourself.. so what are you waiting for, go play it!

I have not finished the game yet, but I've fallen in love with the characters, plot, and other little side plots. I enjoy the rewards from the side quests more than I do in traditonal rpgs. This game is very dependant on gear though, not actual character skill. I do enjoy the soundtarck quite a lot. I would give this game an 8.5/10 depending on how it goes from where I'm at my rating is subject to change.

What can i say about this game?? Its inspired in the old classics, and definitively worth to be called a classic on its on.
Its not very long game when compared with some of the old classics JRPGs, but its easily a good time spend playing it.

The skill system is good enough, although i always prefer to have more options, but i'm not complaining.
The characters are very charismatics and each one of then has their on rol on the story to unfold.
The Story is the high point of the game, its a classic, with mystery, love, betrayal, hate and friendship.

There are some flaws of course,
I didn't like the enemies design at all, except some bosses, generally they are generic RPG maker monsters.

Overall its a great game!
Everyone that is, like myself, a little attached to jrpgs from the snes era should play this game, if you haven't played the classics, you should play this one, its worth the time.
