The short: if you like back to back puzzles, with little to no story or narative, buy this game.

The long: it's a very straight forward find it game. i havent had some of the crashing issues as others have had, so those may have been fixed. The puzzles are challenging enough that they will make you think a bit inorder to solve. And i like the overall designs of the people and environment. And the design for the "secret weapon" in particular was really awesome, but thats about where it ends.

There is very little to the story. direction is follow the little sparkles and arrows, and there is almost no dialogue while moving from one puzzle to another. I feel like there was supposed to be more after where it ended. The ending was so sudden and at a crucial turning point. I thought i had missed a trigger inorder to continue, but since there is zero backtracking in this game i would assume not. afterwards i was just left with unanswered questions. So much infact i wouldnt be surprised if this was made to be a two-part game, but there are no indications of this other than the sudden stop. Are we supposed to assume Abigail used the "secret weapon" to defeat her uncle? Where is he keeping her father and this undead army hidden? Also the story in general made me feel like someone took a bad fan-fic of the prologue to Hellsing the anime.

As for the puzzles, yes they were challenging at first, but when you reuse the same puzzle with some different tiles, or make them a little longer, that is bad design. Also, many of the puzzles feel random and have little to do with their surroundings. There were some unique puzzles to this game and I feel like they could have done more with them to make them stand out.

Finally, there is minimal amount of interacting with the environment. i think the most i had to do was use a key to unlock some doors and a screwdriver to unscrew a vent to find a key. some items you find in this game simply disappear, like the one that tells you how to navigate the catacombs (kinda important)

All in all this game made me feel lacking. There was so much more the devs could have done. it was if i asked for a ham sandwich and all i got was two pieces of bread. all filler and no flavor. I wish this company good luck in their future (relative since this game has existid since 2011) endevors but this game was just lack luster 4/10

My mother gifted me this game, knowing I do so love hidden object games, and despite the negative reviews upon it, I decided to give it a shot. It is indeed as it was explained on the tin, a hidden object game. However, I sadly found it a bit lacking.

First off, gameplay. Scenes didn't have quite as many items in them as previous hidden object games I've played, which I guess made it overly easy for me. Save for a few points of which I must address. There are a few mispellings, as well as wrong labels for intended objects. In fact, once while playing a hammer was labeled as 'Goblet', and vice versa, making it a bit difficult if I was relying closely on the list. Other times, it was... Insanely easy to pick out the items due to how their texture quality clashed with the others around them. I would highly advise the makers with the next game, to make sure they don't enlarge items just to put them in the game. If you want it in so badly, add it in as it's current size to make it look further away.

Now, on to the puzzles between the games. Now, some of the puzzles sure were fun, and were a nice touch. However the sensitivity on some of the puzzles were off. I recall having to try and finish a puzzle three times, due to the fact it was not registering I finished it. And it took a little to figure out what I was supposed to do with some of them. It'd be a nice idea for the next installment to try and polish such things, and also let the player know what exactly is needing to be done.

And to the art. I must say, the art involving the characters was, actually quite to my liking. Characters looked quite lovely, and had plenty of differences between them. Which, given the small cast, is not all that surprising. Personally I would have loved to see more characters involved, especially with the talent of the person who drew them. A pity that there were not many scenes with the drawn characters though. Mainly dialogue snippits involving their base portraits.

And finally, the Story. I found myself disappointed, really. I was hoping the story would have more involvement with the gameplay. But there were very, very few intervals where storyline was inserted. It made the game... Grueling, almost. Having to deal with back to back searches and puzzles at times, just to try and progress the story some. I understand that they wanted to give the players more game to play, but that's not the direction to go with it. Now, nobody wants dialogue and story that drags on, but I'm sure no one likes speckles of storyline either. It's all about retaining a happy balance. Inserting plenty of interaction, without overdoing it, and plenty of story without dragging things out.

Either way, it was a decent game, perhaps okay for someone starting out with hidden object games. But for anyone who's looking for a immersive story to follow, or a challenging point and click game, I would not suggest it. Either way, it really depends on the kind of person who's checking it out.

There are a lot of really well made hidden object games available on steam. This...is not one of them.

Not only is it strung together by nothing even remotely resembling a coherent story but the hidden object puzzles themselves (of which there are MANY) are pretty awful. The same objects are repeated a lot, many are misspelled or completely the wrong word for the object (clocks are called "watches" throughout). The other puzzles in the game are more of the same of the type of thing you see in these games and are often even repeated two or three times to pad things out a bit.

It's also (mercifully) very short but ends on...something? I hesitate to call it a cliffhanger because that would suggest they leave it somewhere that makes you want to return later for a sequel. This is not the case.

If your after a decent Hidden Object game I'd look elsewhere. There's plenty of good ones on Steam and this one is REALLY not worth your time.

This is one of thos Hidden Object games that doesn't even pretend to make sense or have a worthy plot beyond go here and click x. Its puzzles are laughable and the only difficulty comes from the graphics being so bad that you can't see the objects you are looking for. If you really want to play a Hidden Object game there are literally thousands of them to choose from that are better than this.

This is one of the first hidden object games I've ever played on Steam. I usually absolutely love hidden object games. This one, however, has multiple of one item (but you're only supposed to choose one and you have to pick the right one out of the multiple objects). In this case I was supposed to find clothespins. Well, there was a pair of clothespins holding up a cloth, but that wasn't the set of clothespins you were supposed to find, it was the bunch of them in a different place. There's also spelling errors because they didn't have enough space to write the entire item name. They shorten some words so that it could be one thing or something completely different. They are sometimes very specific on items (parasol and umbrella are separate).

There are also objects hidden almost completely behind something else to where you can only see a corner of it. Then some things are so blatanly obvious, you wonder why they put it there.

The puzzles are fun. I actually really enjoyed the puzzles part of this game. I haven't made it that far into the game, so I'm not sure if they'll keep changing or if they will just become longer versions of what has already been used, so I guess I have that to look forward to seeing.

I wouldn't even waste my money on this game when it's on sale. The story seemed really interesting and I love this type of story line and game, but I am majorly disappointed in how this game is made. I stopped playing this game and went back about a week later wondering why I stopped playing and instantly found out why I had stopped.

The character art is gorgeous (on the rare occasions you actually see it) and the music isn't bad.

That said, "I do not think that word means what you think it means" seems to fit far more often than it should, especially for a hidden object game; a few objects seem to have their names switched, and others are just... off. For example, if it says you need to find a watch, you're probably looking for a wall or table clock.
Many backgrounds have very dark edges where you have to be perfectly lined up and rather close to your monitor to find that last item or two. The other items? Well, if you go around and click anything that looks out of place, you'll probably find most of them within a minute.
Minigames seem to switch between ridiculously easy and time consuming enough that you might as well wait for the skip button, with a couple that could really use an explanation tossed in the mix.

The story seems more like an outline to work with than something that should have been released - absolutely no character development means the few snippets we see make very little sense as a whole, the "ending" in particular. Speaking of the ending, it's... not really an ending; I'm assuming there is or will be another game that picks up where it left off.

If you want item hunt after item hunt and very little else, this might be worth looking into. Otherwise, it wasn't even worth it as part of a bundle.

Its more of an episode 1 than a full game.
Visually, I noticed lines around the edges of the puzzle pieces, and one puzzle had some weird layering over some pieces. The thing that erked me the most was some items being mislabed, eg: calling a trowel a shovel, calling wall clocks watches, etc. I'm gonna blame that on translation error.
Deffinitely not worth $6.99. (I'm glad I got it on sale)

* The game alternates crappy hidden object puzzles and nice, diverse sliding puzzles.
* The pacing is good.
* Disregard the storyline, this is a puzzler, not an adventure.
* 1024x768, no achievements, 2-3 hours of gameplay.
* The hidden puzzles are buggy, but then they are also forgiving, so who cares.
* Hint button recharges relatively fast, I took it on about half of the HO puzzles.
* It's not scary.
* Definitely a bargain bin title.

100 minutes into the game and the scant satisfaction I'm getting from it is from the fact I didn't pay 7€ for it, but got it in a bundle with other games I wanted to try... It's just a generic "hidden object" game with more than a fair share of its problems. The graphics? Hit and miss - and those few "hits" that show some trace of style or care aren't making much of an impact. And yes, as someone has stated already, blurry graphics in some scenes are one of the rare things that put some tiny grain of difficulty into the game. They tire the eyes - I can go on for tens on tens of hours staring at a computer screen if needed, but I can't play more than a few of these scenes in the row. Varying degrees of blurriness between different objects don't help.

And neither does the game's shoddy English. I was left stumped looking for a "watch", until I clicked at a "clock" in desperation. And "won". Next screen got me a "clock" that was actually a watch. Great. And that's hardly the only mistake. Oh, and the game will sometimes put multiple instances of the same object and ask you to find only one - so yeah, that key you see there might not be the key the game wants you to click, but some other key. Because why not. There's no timer, no lives to be lost - the game warns you if you "overclick" and that's it. Only you vs. crappy text & graphics...

While what seems to be the single music track in the game (though I didn't pay that much attention) loops incessantly, the transition between the beginning and the start of the track being painfully obvious.

The puzzles tacked onto the hidden object scenes? Simple, seen before, and the game doesn't give a damn about you actually solving them, you can just skip them (so far) if you wanna. I didn't, but I don't see why you would care if the game doesn't. They will hardly challenge or intrigue you.

Oh, I'll finish it since I got it and update this if I notice something that redeems the game in my eyes, though now that I read that the game stretches the story into a sequel, I feel quite confident in saying that this one is to be avoided. Shame.

What the hell did I just play.
Very random puzzles where one often does not know what to do. Very boring HO-scenes that prolongen the game, badly designed backgrounds. No voiceover, no existing story.
Overall a bad game
