Ok, I can say this is a game that aged a bit graphics wise BUT that doesnt impact the gameplay, the game is fast paced and may require trial and error.

Just a tip though, when the launcher appears change the grenade switching controls, it will be bound to page up and page down.

Make no mistake, this game is not good.

It is, however, a throwback to a simpler time. Back when we didn't google for reviews and gameplay footage before we bought a game. Or we didn't buy games ourselves at all.
My mom got this game for me when I was 12. She didn't know anything about video games, but knew that I liked the ones with soldiers in them. I didn't have a point of reference for what made a good game or a bad game, having never really played any good ones at the time. So she brought this home, and I played it. And it was awesome. Sure, the graphics were crap and the voiceacting was laughable and all that, but right then, as I played it, it was the best game ever.

So I saw it on steam the other day. And I bought it, and played it again. The options-menu contains nothing of use, only resolutions that don't actually exist, no texture settings, and a very confusing key-binding section. The game is poorly optimized, and barely runs on a modern PC. The framerate is too high, which screws up the cutscenes and makes voice-clips play atop one another. The game has a cover system, but it's entirely useless since enemies die in one or two hits, and their AI is simplistic, at best. The controls are floaty and fast, and the gunplay is limp. And it's the best. It's an absolutely awesome throwback to a time where I was a kid, and games didn't have to be any good to be fun.

I don't know if you'll enjoy this one if you don't have any nostalgia for it, but if you're looking to waste a few hours with some fun, dumb, poorly made run'n'gun action, I can think of nothing better to play. It's pretty awful, and I love it for that.

Recommended if you dont mind the few issues due to modern hardware

Issues being:
Does not lock the mouse to the game on dual monitor setups
Game runs a bit fast, not so bad in gameplay but FMV's can be a mess (VSync Forced on Overlay.exe may help)

This is a review from someone who doesnt let age affect a games score.

That being said, this game gives you perks if you complete a level with gold.

The negative is that I am stuck trying to equip MMB grenades.

The controls are wonky but judging by the graphics it is pretty par for the time so not really a negative.

It seems like an interesting story line just from the little I did play but that is why I cant recommend it.

There is no key rebinding and I can only assume that they bound this key to some magical button that does not exist on my keyboard.

I'm just going to wri.. let's start wit..audio how befo....the next line of dialog b....

Couldn't even pass the training mission, ran out of ammunition couldn't rewind, couldn't even get to a menu. Alt-F4 is the only saving grace this game has.

The graphics where compariable to PSX game from 1995, no kidding here.

All in all this game literally gets no points, 0/10. Good effort from a grade 3 computer basics course though.

it shows its age. might have been great a long time ago, but probably only play it for nostalgia's sake.

I would not recommend this game, all you do is go through stages, which are basically throwing grenades... It is boring to me.

Good game until the 17th mission where you have to parachute down while hundreds of missiles shoot at you and your only defense is to shoot at them with a rifle. Then after that, theres more missiles, and if you are out of ammo? Good luck getting past that. Id reccomend buying it while its on sale only.

the game totally sucks i played it one time when i went to play it again it wouldn't play every thing turned white. does steam give refunds? Trying to fix a game with steam is like their customer service, it totally sucks. I got games from steam as far back as 3 years ago that still won't play even though my pc meets or exceeds all minumum requirements And there is no way I played this game 31 hours maybe trying to fix it, but I gave up.
