This game is amazing, just to say if you want to play the original incoming!!! this is bundled with it too. so when you but incoming forces you get the first incoming too!!!
Also just to say all the fuss about people not being able to play it is because it only works on steam from windows xp to windows 7 so windows 10 is not supported... that's because windows 10 is ♥♥♥♥♥ and only stupid fools download it that get suckerd by microsofts idea of making a new windows for dummies with more bright and fancy colours at the end of the day windows 10 does the exact same job as all the windows previous :P

Buy this for the normal Incoming. It's fun for some Semi-mindless action. That game is worth $10 on it's own.

♥♥♥♥ Incoming Forces.

An arcade space shooter which is a pure classic. Comes along with the original Incoming too which is equally good. Gameplay is very fun and easy to get into. =)

Thankfully the original Incoming is included as well and that still holds up now. "Forces" sucked then as it does now, don't bother with that. The original Incoming has awesome atmosphere, tense music and fun and straight forward action where you fight off waves. You control a different type of vehicle in each Phase, which is one of the things that make the original game so awesome! The controls are a little clunky and oversensitive on Keyboard which a Joystick or Gamepad would rectify but I don't have a Joystick these days and my Gamepad did not work. Graphically it looks worse now than it used to, not necessarily because of aging (though that too) but because I can't use my native resolution and I could swear it used OpenGL or nGlide or something to smooth things out while now it looks more like it's software renderer. In other words it makes the game needlessly blurry and pixelated compared to the original gaming experience back then. I wish there'd be a HD Version of this, or a Remake though whoever does that probably messes it up with useless modern details and mechanics. All in all, I recommend for short bursts of retro fun!

PROS:
+ fun gameplay
+ big range of vehicles
+ great vehicle controls
+ nice story
+ cheesy B-movie cutscenes
+ Incoming is in the bundle

CONS:
- graphic glitches & clipping
- somewhat short game time
- cheesy B-movie cutscenes
- Incoming has poor compatibility, bad graphic settings & mouse control issues

Comment:
First I will mention the bundled Incoming game, the parent of Incoming Forces. It was an amazing game at the time when it came out and was lots of fun. You play as a human soldier defending Earth from aliens. However it aged pretty badly, not only in the graphics sector but in OS compatibility. While I was able to run the game I always had some upper bar or other obstruction over the top of the game screen. On top of that the controls are terribly clunky especially with mouse so just go full keyboard control instead. So perhaps try it out but move on to the much better sequel Incoming Forces where this time you are in control of an alien pilot. The story is not complex but somewhat cute and quite enjoyable. The range of vehicles expands, you get to control turrets, tanks, artillery and a range of air fighters. Missions are replayable separately and have a High Score system. The transition between vehicles is really smooth and controls are great. The graphics are a bit clunky but that does not matter in this case. However only 16 (mostly short) missions is not that much. Overall a fun shooter with a big range of vehicles and nice (although cheesy) story. Recommended.

Game will not run correctly on a modern PC without some serious troubleshooting. I got the game free and cannot recommend it to anyone. The amount of work to make this run is silly.

The Game does not even show up (Windows 10 64Bit) however it's running and visible in Task Manager and also Steam says it's running, so at least the Trading Cards will drop, i will let the Process run and then use Task Manager to kick it out of Memory... But this outcome is probably the worst possible for a Game, even if it is from 2002, i mean all you see is the Desktop and there is not even Sound... LOL!

Not really a bad game
The graphics are old, the music is not good, the story is really... not much, and the controls are clunky and hard to move and aim (the aim is too floaty, also)
But, it is not really a bad game

You control an unit and must destroy the enemy units in the battlefield. It is like playing with a specific unit in a strategy game, but controling it, it feels a lot like it, by the way.
The aim system is pretty good, and makes sense, if you're controlling a tank, you can easily take down other terrain units, but the planes are really hard to hit and not worth the effort.

If you like the aspect of the game, I recommend it, but only if you get it for free, in a bundle or in a sale.
