Significantly extends the time that a savefile stays fresh and hectic, for a veteran player. In the base game I get a little bored by day 75 or so and don't have much left to do except explore the whole map or try spelunking, since I don't have the attention span for huge construction projects, but I'm on day 137 (the middle of the second summer) currently and it's still keeping me on my toes. You don't get attacked by giants EVERY season, either, which is a relief. They just show up every two seasons or so (it varies) to make your life harder.

Most of the content is integrated into Don't Starve Together, but enough things are different that it's not too redundant, and you get a nice little gift to use in DST if you own RoG for singleplayer.

It's... it's awesome. Best game. Best DLC. Thanks Klei. GG. This DLC adds new seasons, summer, spring and autumn. Autumn is just like the summer in the vanilla game. It also adds giants, duh. Also adds some new items, like ice fling-o-matics and pretty parasols, also adds 2 new characters, Wigfrid and Webber. Wigfrid's stats: Gains sanity and health in battle, can craft battle spears and battle helmets that are exclusive to her. She only eats meat. Webber's stats: Pigs and Bunnymen attack him, but he can befriend spiders. Also, spiders will never attack Webber. Webber's maximum sanity is 100, which is quite low. But it's not as if sanity is hard to manage or anything. You can unlock Wigfrid with experience points. Webber's skull is an item that can be dropped by spiders if you kill them. If you get Webber's skull, bury it in a grave and you'll unlock Webber. And new mechanics are added as well. This includes wetness. If you get too wet, your items will become wet, making tools slippery and food soggy, and using wet equipment will decrease your sanity. Overheating: You'll probably be overheating in summer, so prepare your umbrellas, vests, hats, siestas, endothermic fire pits and fans to not get ♥♥♥♥ed. I rate it 10/10. Definitely.

If you want a don't starve game with a bigger chalange you will like this DLC. But keep in mind that it will be a harder than a normal world and there are lots of giants which are just bosses.

Review ENG/ITA

There is some difference with original game, we'll find more items and challenges. It'll introduce a lot of elements like nights lit by the full moon, 4 seasons, rain indicator, overheating...and the giants, one for season. Naturally RoG is more difficult than original Don't Starve, because if you had time to create one base to prepare yourself for winter, now it's impossible. If you start from Autumn you have to prepare yourself for Winter, instead if you start from Spring you have to prepare yourself for Summer. You can't relax yourself and game can be frustrating with these challenges ( Bee killer, rain, giants, spiders, etc ). There is some item with different crafting, for example Alchemy Engine. I recommend this DLC only if you've finished Don't Starve without problems.

Vote/Voto: 8/10

Reign of giants is an another great game from klei!
It adds a ton of new content, interactions, biomes, objects to play with!
I really liked it and still playing! Although it's difficult for the unexperienced players,i recommend playing first vanilla!
Pros:
-It adds a ton of new content!
-New bosses.
-New biomes.
-More challenge upon the game that is a lot fun!
-More Seasons!
-It's very fun playing throughout the game such as dealing with the giants!
-It's very friendly to the player such as all indie games!
-New effects(season)
Cons:
-It's difficult at first if you try playing and then a lot easier!
-Frog apocalypse
-Summer survival,overheating e.t.c
I really love this game!I think you should buy it right now beacuse it's worth it! What are you waiting for?

Sid Meier of Civilization fame once said that a good game was "a series of interesting choices".

Dont Starve Reign of Giants takes a great game, and makes it even greater by adding just that, a series of intereting choices to deal with new mechanics, overheating, getting wet, and the two new seasons of fall and spring. You probably should n't start playing Dont Starve vanilla, as it is an incomplete experience.

Reign of Giants is what the original game was probably meant to be,

This DLC expands upon the world of Don't Starve by making the game even more challenging, by adding 2 more seasons, Spring and Autumn and reworking Summer to be much more difficult. It adds many new items that can change the way you survive. And with the new mechanic of smoldering items in Summer, the game gets a lot more difficult. I would also highly recommend purchasing this DLC because it adds an incredible amount of content to the game.

An awesome DLC for Don't Starve with new biomes, creepy monsters, animals, bosses, items, seasons... Too boring and easy the original Don't starve for you, try this DLC then.
