Let's break this game down. Let me start this off with this is not a bad game. I REPEAT "THIS GAME IS NOT A BAD GAME".
Matter of fact this is the best sports game I have played. Let's break this down with a +/- pros and cons list. Make sure to check my updates!! Very important Update #9 (Final update)

-Great atmosphere
-Great gameplay
-Awesome Graphics
-Realism (The feel of being at the game is almost always there for me.)
-Game is actually very well done from what I have played.
-Great story... Yes story. In a sports game. Crazy
-Possibly the best 2K gameplay ever.
-Fluency with contollers is great

-Servers are down no VC is available for purchase as of right now. (It's just the first day I don't blame them)
-My VC that was promised when I pre-ordered the game is not available. (I think this is due to the servers)
-This game is a straight hard ♥♥♥ game they make your myplayer soooo hard to play with. (500 hours on 2K14 PC+360)
-Servers are empty (Servers are down as of now.
-(Update) MyTeam one of the most played game modes is unavailable due to the servers on PC as well.

There is so much fun to have here in this game. Arguably the best sports game saga and this one is taking a shot at all of the 2K games. The story in MyCareer is the most well polished story next to Shadow of Mordor. Is this game worth it? Absoulutley. Check for updates! I got this as soon as it came out so let me know what you guys think about the game!!

Update #2:
Purchasable VC is still not available in game. I think this is so the players can get to play there MyPlayers with out maxing them out instantly. Although this game has a lot of server side issues on PC, I still look forward to playing this game at it's final build which should be soon. I've been wanting to play MyPark but to servers this isn't aloud. Sadly. I'll keep updating as the game get's better.

Update#4 Specs:
My computer is very well made. Very cheap. A lot of people have added me recently asking if their computer can run this game. So lemme make this clear. Your graphics card has to be above a 640 Nvidia to run this game. I have issues running this game on my 650 Ti Boost. So let's break this down.
Graphics card minimum:
-650 regular (Not boost)
-Anything above and equal i5 pretty much (I have i7)
6GB at the least
Hard Drive:
At least 50GB of free space on your hardrive.

Update #5:
I finally got my Pre-Order. Got on and now the servers are off. Again. Still only the third day. Game's are hard to get going I understand. I'm still waiting on playing the full game which should be sometime this week. So prepare for updates.

Update #6: VC is here finally. I got my Pre-Order just a while ago. This game is sooo great. There are only two problems with the game and that happens to be there aren't a lot of players at MyPark. I cannot find any players servers are empty. Then I can't buy clothes right now but I think there is a bug so i'll wait. This game is getting better by the day.

Update #7:
Yes there is MyTeam. I meant there MyTeam servers aren't up. The 2K Servers are bugers. Now the servers are up and the game is almost at the final verdict with minor patches.

Update #8:
So many server issues. These issues have been all over the 2K support and Devs personal twitters. Unfortuantely I believe they're gonna do PC last. Also the MyPark's are always empty still. I met a person but only one person lol. I left. Also you can still not purchase clothes. Oh what a sad day for 2K...

Update #9:
Servers are back. You can pretty much do everything from this point on. The only issue I seem to face now is empty MyParks. I still haven't been able to play MyPark. It might be the park i play for the Sunset Beach Ballers is what I rep so if you wanna get dunked on feel free to come to my park >:)

Update #10 (Final):
Everything is working now. The game is worth every penny. The only issues I've had are gameplay issues. Like handling the ball is so hard there is no way you aren't getting a turnover. The game is very hard. But besides that nothing seems to bother me. MyPark is always buggy but they expierenced that last year too. So whatever. So final verdict... Is this game worth it? Yes. Is the game fun absoulutley. So if you get this game meet me on the court..

I bought NBA 2K15 on 10/9/14. I was skeptical considering the mixed reviews, especially considering that most of the negative reviews from users were claiming that game-breaking bugs and server issues had ruined the game-play experience. Some people even said they had lost all their progress, including their pre-order bonuses. I can't promise that these bugs don't exist, but I haven't experienced any myself.

As of this writing, I've been playing 2K14 for roughly 8 hours. During that time I have only had it crash once, and I haven't experienced any graphical anomalies or bizarre glitches.

After playing the disappointing port of NBA 2K14 on PC, this year's edition is a major upgrade. The graphical overhaul was much needed (no more 2D crowd members), and the game looks fantastic. In addition, the mechanics have been seriously tuned up, and shooting feels much more natural now. Career mode is all new, and I personally think the changes (from the better voice acting to the more immersive story line) significantly improve the franchise.

There are still minor gripes about the game, like how sometimes in career mode you will be assigned a certain player to defend, but suddenly that assignment will switch to a player on the other side of the court, just as that totally unreachable player is shooting the ball, resulting in a b.s. "you allowed a player to score" penalty to your team grade. But, in all sincerity, most of my gripes are minor.

All in all, I'm vastly enjoying the game, and I think that 2K has done a great job making a respectable PC version of their basketball franchise. I can't promise that you won't have issues with your copy, and I won't blame you for exercising caution if you decide to wait and purchase this game after patch releases, but I personally don't regret spending the $60 at all.

My rig consists of:
- Intel Core i5 4590 CPU
- 8GB 1600MHz Corsair Vengeance
- 120GB Samsung EVO SSD
- 1TB 7200RPM WD HDD (where I have the game installed)
- Windows 8.1

I'm running everything on max settings with no studder or frame rate issues.

The game is good when it works.... The reason the servers are down is because 2k put the console (Xbox one and Ps4) (360 and ps3 have their own server) and pc versions on the same server, which was stupid on their part because there is no cross platform implemented in the game, so the server is down at the moment because the heavy traffic from all platforms is combined into one giant mess of a server... all we can do is wait

to check the status of the server's visit

Note: Servers are no longer down

Dont listen to the negitve reviews this is by far the best 2k basketball that's been released on PC, and its about time because we've been so use to getting the strip down version of the game. The graphics are top notch and I don't even have a great card. the game play has been very smooth and the realism just keeps making me wondering if this is a game or am I watching this on tv. ATM the servers are down, but since it's the first day I'm not going to complain because this game has so much to offer offline, not to mention I need Anyway don't be afraid at all to buy this year's game, and this coming from someone that after last years disappointment I decided that I'd probably never buy another 2k basketball game again until they fixed their issues. While I can't vouch for everything as the game has only been out for a few hours, I can say this Buy This Game It Rocks!!

Considering that 1.5 hours of my playtime was spent attempting to play a single player portion of the game lets just say I'm not a very happy customer. 2K is one of the biggest game companies in the world and can't seem to be able to stress test their game's servers/not hide BS DRM in a game with this always online bullcrap. You know how to decrease stress on your servers, don't make the most popular mode (myCareer) always online like morons. Also stop defending that it's multiplayer game, this isn't Warcraft, there are like max 10 players at a time.

Onto the actual game:
Only played myCareer a few hours after release the game is fun, looks good, isn't really as responsive as I'd like, players feel a little heavy (Video game me should be able to react on defense better than real me) I'm not asking to be Scotty Pippin immediately but I can't even attempt to recover to at least contest a layup that would go in but look a little more realistic having someone there. It's kind of tough to get assists as a rookie on HOF difficulty but I'll figure it out.

I didn't read up on this game too much before I got it because I did that last year then PC got jipped on features that really sounded cool to me. So I was really surprised to find out that I'm best friends with Andre Drummond and he can talk to me, which IS awesome. It would be more awesome if the voice acting was a little better and not so stone faced like Skyrim was.

Speaking of Skyrim! The game takes up 50GB which is like 8 Skyrims.

Edit: This is almost worse than I thought. Instead of making the AI smarter on harder difficulties they just make your character artificially slower which is stupid.

Steve Kerr is an announcer, Stan Van Gundy's guy looks like the penguin from batman. Passing is not working right or is just made more difficult by the previously mentioned crap with difficulty level I can't tell. Myteam still doesn't work, neither does the park, or anything else online as far as I can tell.

Javale McGee and Dwight Howard doing turnaround fadeaway jumpshots from 13ft out? Yup! You betcha. Invisible players interviewing with Doris, yup. Also since when does EVERY player in the NBA shoot jumpshots from 5ft out instead of a wide open layup? Oh yeah even when I do get a teammate the ball around the bucket wide open, does he brick the layup 85% of the time? I don't know why this is. Probably something to do with the difficulty level forcing me to be 80pt Kobe just to win a MyCareer game. BTW all of this stuff is from myCareer because it's the only thing working so far.

Edit 2: Add Joakim Noah to the list of bigs doing turnaround fadeaway jumpers. The game seems to just want you to score 40 pts have 15 rbs and 15 asts to get a win in my career. I'm gonna turn the difficulty down to test this theory because my guys miss WIDE open transition layups all the time. The opposing teams big no matter how bad will alway get like 7 offensive rebounds and convert them almost 100% of the time. If one of the players on myPlayer's team blocks a shot the computer gets it back no matter what. Usually with a wide open layup. My team mates will not jump to block a shot after the opposing PG flies by me. But when I beat an opposing PG literally every defender jumps on me dog pile style. myPark is fun until you run into the 99ovr guy who is 99ovr on the damned 3rd day of the game being out (and playable) So that's pay to win, pointless. The entire game is designed to make you feel like you have to spend money to get VC to play well in myCareer, get cards in myTeam, do well in myPark presumably to do well in myGM. This appears to be a pretty dead eyed version of candy crush in terms of trying to get people to spend extra money on an already 70 dollar game.

Also the sound keeps fading in and out which is really annoying.

Fantastic. I played NBA2k14 on the Xbox One and PC and was very disappointed with the PC version last year. This year 2k made it up to us on PC by giving us the full next gen experience on PC. NBA2k14 on Xbox One was fantastic and 2k15 on PC is even better. Don't let the last few versions of NBA2k on PC turn you off because those were bad ports. This is a great port. My only complaints are

- The animations in my career is setup for 30 FPS so when you play at 60 it looks funny
- No keyboard support from what I can see. When I try to type in my name or anything with my keyboard nothing happens. It appears to be a straight port from the xbox one but it was a very well done port.

Edit: Now that I have been trying to play mycareer mode the game has been deleting my character when it has issues connecting to the server. My stats and save are fine but the character itself keeps getting deleted. Its annoying.

If you are into sports and video games this is the one game you need to buy. The simulation modes are top notch, with tons of detail and depth. You can take charge of a team as their General Manager and build your empire. You can create your self and become a king among men.

Gameplay: 9/10. 2K sports has always delievered the best sports simulation game play. That's why EA had to buy out the NFL player rights to not let it happen in that market. There are some problems with player "magnitization" that still exist in the game. Feels like you are sometimes stuck to the guy you're closest to. Nothing game breaking though.

Presentation: 10/10. It feels like you're watching a real NBA game, everything down to the Cheer leaders are motion capped. I even heard Shaqs third leg was motion capped for hyper-realism.

Graphics: 9/10. This game will stun you with real to life lighting and facial expressions. Facial rendering quality is some of the best I've seen in a game. Certain hairstyles still look wierd though, and facial hair looks too much like curly pubes.

PC optimization: 8/10. Here's where 2K needs to continue to work. They did one great thing this year and that was they actually brought the "next-gen" version of the game to PC. With that being said, the servers are still very terrible. Crashing occurs because of the servers. No offline mode for MyCareer. Everytime you start up the game you have to remake your player because of the servers. This issue should be cleared up in the next few days however right now its a huge pain in the ♥♥♥.

Overall: 9/10. A great sports title once again. Needs a little work on the server side, but if you're a fan like myself you won't let that stop you from enjoying the living hell out of this game.

This game is an absolute cheat of your time and your money. You'll spend 20 dollars to get VC, max out your characters shooting and you'll still end up with a 10% shot percentage. The online is something the developers like to claim they fixed but that's absolutely untrue. If you at all considered defending someone with the ball... LOL, think again. By the time your player even CONSIDERS running after his defender, they've already scored about 4 times. I have 65 hrs played, I really tried to give this game a chance. Disappointment after disappointed, all I've been shown is that the game developers is simply a studio full of cavemen banging rocks together.

Stuttering gameplay on a good rig. Driver issue? Game issue? I know not everyone has problems with the game, but im not a happy customer. I have every 2k NBA game, and i ALMOST passed on this one, and now i wish i would have waited til about 2-3 patches (or new drivers).

A pretty terrible first-day release, servers were off-and-on pretty much all day, it kept deleting my character (name/appearance) though thankfully not my career (which I had spent my VC on). As for the game itself -

- Seems harder then 2k14 (which I mean, the floor spacing is more realistic, you can't just euro-step and score every play)
- The graphics are insanely good
- you can shoot around when you're not playing a game without having to go through a loading screen.
- Next Gen is just better lol

- It seems like you cannot be drafted.. there was no chance to upgrade your character before the draft and no show case
- There are 2 voice types.. not trying to be "that guy" but both are black dudes voices lol
- There doesn't seem to be a way to outfit your guy's appearance, like you can't give them sleves are undershirts (which I would like, even if they added no stats)
- THE SERVERS - and it seems like you need constant conection to run my career correctly, which is terrible.

I would which this to the thumbs if they just fixed the servers... seriously, 2k, fix the servers.

I played many hours of 2k14 on PC but it seems 2k15 is buggier than last gen. I can barely use my controllers and I have to recreate my MyPlayer every time I get in the game. Hopefully 2k sees these mess-ups and bugs and fix it soon. Much room for improvement.

First impressions of this game are somewhat mixed.
The Positive:
The Graphics are nice and smooth. I get 120FPS @ 1080 with no stutter at all. (I7 4820k, Asus GTX980.)
So far I'm really liking My Player mode.
I'm also checking out the My Team mode for the first time and it looks good.
My GM seems really good although it isn't online.
I had no problems getting into online games although the 2 I tried the person quit on me.
The Negative:
No online fantasy draft. I was really hoping it would have this feature.
My game had a couple of bugs. One of them MyPlayer just randomly changed. I had to reboot the game to get my created player back. Hopefully 2K will actually patch this version of NBA2K.

I would say this game is worth buying if you're a fan of any of the other NBA2K games. Even if you were turned off by 2k games in the past on the PC. We are no longer the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ child release!

Best NBA experience you can have on steam! While I'm in love with the MyCareer mode this year, I am a bit disappointed by the lack of the facial scanner system that the consoles have. Why is this feature not present on PC? I'm sure my 1080p webcam will do just fine for a facial scan (is this not here to drive the Xbox and Ps4 versions?). Only other real compalint is the servers atm seem to be either divoid of life and players or dying every couple of hours. These are only minor complaints as this game is a great overall basketball experience.

Welp. I was really excited for this game, and it's probably awesome.

It just refuses to run on my laptop, despite more than clearing the minimum requirements. After spending two hours messing with the various video settings, I have given up and uninstalled. Really, *really* disappointing - though I suppose this is what I get for buying a new game instead of waiting until problems like this are known.

Gonna go sulk now.
