I grew up on games like Madden and NBA Jam, then moved on to NBA 2K. The NBA is becoming a global game.

Easily the best 2K game I've ever played. Graphics are amazing, there are THOUSANDS of animations and they fixed a vast majority of the "little things" that ruined 2K14. The servers are having a bit of trouble currently, but that's only because the servers connect everything from PCs to XBOX consoles.

The story in MyPlayer is different from last year, which leads to you continue progressing throughout a season instead of knowing what's going to happen from the previous year. I highly recommend this to any sports-games players, especially the ones who live/die for basketball games. By far the best game I've ever played, 10/10, would bang again.

I love this game even though your AI teammates can play quite dumb at times in my career. The AI oppenents also play cheatfense on offense and defense. This game has me addicted like back when I was playing live 95 for the Sega Genesis. I really think more pc basketball fans should purchase the game despite some of the issues that people are having so that we can have a bigger community.

This game is fantastic! ive played all NBA series since 2003, i dont want to bore you with a massive essay so here is the pros and cons:

Great new Ai system - you need to gain chemistry to get the ball etc
MyPlayer is alot more fun - your team can actually win games you dont need a massive impact in every game
Graphics are amazing and the NextGen storyline is superb adds alot more depth
The new GRADE system is alot less punishing

The soundtrack could have been alot better
Will take a bit of time to adapt to the slower more realistic movement of players
The new MyPlayer attributes are now distributed in groups (playmaker/athletic etc..) instead of single stat upgrades.

I would recommend this game its currently the most realistic and well made basketball game to date.

This year's upgrade to the graphics and animations are wonderful, and it's super that PC players are finally treated to the same experience that console gamers have. Unfortunately, this year's game was ultimately even more disappointing than the leftovers we got last year. In previous years, the majority of my game time was spent in the MyPlayer mode, which allows a player to create a basketball player and progress from rookie to hall-of-fame legend. This year, the campaign against "cheese" has effectively ruined the mode for me. Sure, eliminating holes in the AI is great for PVP games or higher difficulty settings, but the MyPlayer mode still doesn't offer any significant options to alter difficulty. I can absolutely understand why having a player shoot a perfect three with Kobe Bryant every time they have the ball might be undesirable in a player-versus-player match, but shot endurance working against a shooting guard trying to forge their legend in MyPlayer mode is absurd. Shot endurance absolutely destroys my enjoyment of my favorite mode and therefore sours me on the whole franchise. I could live with the jive-talking coaches and having an avatar that insists on ending every sentence with, "you feel me?" Yet, having a player engineered head to toe for shooting well and being completely unable to score regardless of space or distance by the end of the first half is wrong, stupid, and frustrating, you feel me?

Challenging. Frustrating. Ridiculous. But still the best NBA simulator out there. This game will push you to the limits of your patience and concentration. The AI is arguably the smartest in video game history due to their ability to adapt to your every play. Dont get this game if you want to have a bit of quick fun because it is unforgiving and will not ever let you take it down without a fight. This can be said for every 2K basketball game, they know how to make a simulator that's fairly close to the real thing. This aint NBA live where you'll win games 107 - 16. Trust me, every game will be close and very, very well contested by the AI.

Played multiplayer twice and each time it lagged like I was versing someone that lives on the moon. Patch or more Australian servers please.

Finally, thank you 2K for bringing the next gen version to PC this year. Keep it coming.

Oh and one more thing, please bring back Dunk Contests in 2k16.

Fantastic game with some wonderful improvements to gameplay, animations, graphics, slick presentation and modes (my team and my career). Love basketball? Looking for a realistic simulation and one of the best sports games of the last 10 years? This is the game for you!

The only issues I have had with the game was the servers had issues the first two games and you couldn't play online and also sometimes there is lag for the online MY PARK street ball games where there is 10 courts in one area. Other than that it runs well, not had any crashes yet and there are not many bugs.

If you want to dunk every play this is not the game for you, this requires you to use that brain you have in your head! Be smart when you pass the ball, don't try to steal everytimeon defense, play good solid smart team basketball and use you're bench wisely! This is as close as you will get to real basketball in a videogame. it is sligthly slower paced gameplay from previous years but it fits the series perfect. The controls are also very well done, I have been playing with a xbox one controller most the time so far.

With over 170 hours on this game already, it is without a doubt one of my top 10 games of 2014 and without a doubt the years best sports game. MY TEAm and MY CAREER are both improved alot and are very addictin, this game in general has a TON of content. 2K has been great for years but this is the best game they have done and it just destroys the new NBA LIVE. If you want a good sports game with a ton of content hit it up! PC finally has the next gen version and it does nto dissapoint!

As long as you know this game is a sim and NOT NBA LIVE or NBA JAM, there is a great chance you will enjoy this game. It has quickly become my 7th most played game ever on steam, not long after it came out, as you can tell I am enjoying it!

I've been playing basketball games since One on One: Michael Jordan and Larry Bird released in 1988 by Electronic Arts. This is the best basketball game ever made. Period. Buy it now.

This game is Fantastic! I preordered it knowing it would be great and 2K has really picked up it's game with PC. I was worried at first because 2k14 wasnt next gen but 2K has delivered it's promise with a 1:1 port of console. My main problem is the server issue and nobody plays. Other than that, the myCarreer is great and same with the other gamemodes. Its fun to play. One thing I recommend to 2K is a way of playing the music we own so we don't have to listen to the same songs over and over again.

I personally feel this game is a big step-up from NBA2K14 with not just game mechanics, but 2K's attention to detail on the little things. Story is a lot different and interesting. I actually want to sit and watch the openings of each game because it makes me feel like I'm there watching the game. I can definitely see myself sinking lots of hours into this game.
In conclusion, if you're a fan of 2K's NBA games, you should pick this game up and give it a go.

I'll admit, I haven't played an NBA game in years, but it's amazing how far they've come. The gameplay is fluid and responsive. The graphics and physics are impressive, and help with the overall immersion. The presentation is sleek. The announcers sound natural, and didn't seem to repeat themselves like I'm used to. This all comes together to make NBA 2k15 feel more like an interactive tv broadcast than a video game.

My only real complaint is the awkward menu system. To go back in the menu, you have to scroll over to the "exit" option rather than just hit the "B" button on the controller, or "Escape" on the keyboard. It is rather frustrating. They have the main game down, hopefully next year they simplify the menu system. That said, it's a minor complaint.

I'd highly recommend this to any basketball fan, even if you are used to arcade style games like NBA Jam. NBA 2k15 is easy enough to pick up and play, and a lot of fun.

NBA 2K15 offers everything an NBA 2K fanatic will want as they're returning to the franchise.

With advanced game modes, character detail and the new seamlessly merged myCareer mode, NBA 2K builds up on a successful franchise, right after NBA 2K14's 70 GOTY awards.

The reworked movement system and the fluidic shot mechanics make NBA 2K15 a massive leap in gaming.
With each character having different shooting mechanics, or, a "Feel" for their shot, 2K15 puts you to the challenge of mastering your chosen player's mechanics till perfection, performing fadeaways, turnaround jumpers and signature dunks, NBA 2K throws you into the world of your imagination.

With a new myGM mode, you can take control of a team's finances and minutes, as well as coaching staff and promotions. Contest for a title, drafting new players each new season, working up to the challenge of keeping players healthy and managing the needs and tantrums each one has.

With MyCareer, you can expect a fast paced experience as players mentor you in real time, based on your performances. Featuring real voices dubbed by players, coaches and personalities such as Pharrell Williams himself, NBA's career mode will see you in the shoes of an NBA player.

Flaws: For returning PC players from 2K14, it's a whole new ball game. There'll be various changes you'll have to accustom to master the game. The fast paced action of the game will be a whole new experience for us(Coming from a 2K14 player, trust me.).

Final Verdict: It's a good deal for NBA fanatics.

So, after my last years review on NBA2K14, I'm going on with 2K15 this year. As it features next-gen, the content is huge - a great variety of gamemodes, amazing graphics and a really good gameplay. MyPlayer is huge this year! The only thing that lets the fun factor down, is that there too less people actually playing 2K so it can be though to find an opponent at times. On prime time (17:00-23:00) you're still basically safe to find people to ball with!

★★★★ - Fun
★★★★★ - Graphics
★★★★★ - Sound
★★★★★ - Atmosphere
★★★★ - Controls
★★★★★ - Content

NBA 2K15 does not deserves the Mixed (67% positive) review score it's been given. In fact, I believe 2K15 is a huge upgrade from last year's game. Most of the negative ratings given to 2K have been either because players were having opening day server issues, or are running into graphical/gameplay problems. I have experienced neither of these, so here's my review of the game and the game itself

MyCareer - very enjoyable game mode. The story is cheesy in some bits but it's still an enjoyable game mode. MyPark is great to play with friends, but sometimes is lacking on PC due to a reduced community size. Still, fun with others.

MyGM / MyLeague - two WIP game modes that 2K hasn't completely mastered yet but are well on their way. The customizibility in MyLeague makes it a great game mode and it, along with myGM, has lots of potential.

MyTeam - one of my favourite game modes. Challenges, Road to the Playoffs, and Domination give plenty of game modes to play. The auction house is a great addition to 2K15 as well.

Gameplay: 7.5/10 - 2K still needs to fix up the AI of your teammates in MyCareer and non-controlled players in other modes. Online started off sketchy due to server issues but plays well for me now.
Graphics: 9/10 - With a HD 5450 I can run at 60 FPS, 1920 x 1080 and Low / Medium. Don't be fooled by the Low, because the game still looks pretty good compared to last year's game.
Audio: 6.5/10 - Commentary is great, especially with the addition of sideline interviews and the pre-game show. The soundtrack for 2K has been sub-par for a while now but music varies based on tastes. Best you could do is just mute the in-game music and play your own tunes. Problem solved.
Controls: (Keyboard/Mouse: N/A, Controller: 9/10) - playing 2K with a keyboard and mouse is a guarenteed nightmare. I haven't tried it, and don't plan to. However, controller gameplay is easy to pick-up and learn. The shooting mechanism this year is quite well developed too.

OVERALL: 8.5/10 - 2K has definitely created an enjoyable basketball simulation experience for basketball fan. Definitely consider picking it up if it goes on sale (heck, for full price it's still great too). Highly recommend.
