I grew up on games like Madden and NBA Jam, then moved on to NBA 2K. The NBA is becoming a global game.

Easily the best 2K game I've ever played. Graphics are amazing, there are THOUSANDS of animations and they fixed a vast majority of the "little things" that ruined 2K14. The servers are having a bit of trouble currently, but that's only because the servers connect everything from PCs to XBOX consoles.

The story in MyPlayer is different from last year, which leads to you continue progressing throughout a season instead of knowing what's going to happen from the previous year. I highly recommend this to any sports-games players, especially the ones who live/die for basketball games. By far the best game I've ever played, 10/10, would bang again.

I love this game even though your AI teammates can play quite dumb at times in my career. The AI oppenents also play cheatfense on offense and defense. This game has me addicted like back when I was playing live 95 for the Sega Genesis. I really think more pc basketball fans should purchase the game despite some of the issues that people are having so that we can have a bigger community.

This game is fantastic! ive played all NBA series since 2003, i dont want to bore you with a massive essay so here is the pros and cons:

Great new Ai system - you need to gain chemistry to get the ball etc
MyPlayer is alot more fun - your team can actually win games you dont need a massive impact in every game
Graphics are amazing and the NextGen storyline is superb adds alot more depth
The new GRADE system is alot less punishing

The soundtrack could have been alot better
Will take a bit of time to adapt to the slower more realistic movement of players
The new MyPlayer attributes are now distributed in groups (playmaker/athletic etc..) instead of single stat upgrades.

I would recommend this game its currently the most realistic and well made basketball game to date.

Challenging. Frustrating. Ridiculous. But still the best NBA simulator out there. This game will push you to the limits of your patience and concentration. The AI is arguably the smartest in video game history due to their ability to adapt to your every play. Dont get this game if you want to have a bit of quick fun because it is unforgiving and will not ever let you take it down without a fight. This can be said for every 2K basketball game, they know how to make a simulator that's fairly close to the real thing. This aint NBA live where you'll win games 107 - 16. Trust me, every game will be close and very, very well contested by the AI.

Played multiplayer twice and each time it lagged like I was versing someone that lives on the moon. Patch or more Australian servers please.

Finally, thank you 2K for bringing the next gen version to PC this year. Keep it coming.

Oh and one more thing, please bring back Dunk Contests in 2k16.

This year's upgrade to the graphics and animations are wonderful, and it's super that PC players are finally treated to the same experience that console gamers have. Unfortunately, this year's game was ultimately even more disappointing than the leftovers we got last year. In previous years, the majority of my game time was spent in the MyPlayer mode, which allows a player to create a basketball player and progress from rookie to hall-of-fame legend. This year, the campaign against "cheese" has effectively ruined the mode for me. Sure, eliminating holes in the AI is great for PVP games or higher difficulty settings, but the MyPlayer mode still doesn't offer any significant options to alter difficulty. I can absolutely understand why having a player shoot a perfect three with Kobe Bryant every time they have the ball might be undesirable in a player-versus-player match, but shot endurance working against a shooting guard trying to forge their legend in MyPlayer mode is absurd. Shot endurance absolutely destroys my enjoyment of my favorite mode and therefore sours me on the whole franchise. I could live with the jive-talking coaches and having an avatar that insists on ending every sentence with, "you feel me?" Yet, having a player engineered head to toe for shooting well and being completely unable to score regardless of space or distance by the end of the first half is wrong, stupid, and frustrating, you feel me?

NBA 2K15 offers everything an NBA 2K fanatic will want as they're returning to the franchise.

With advanced game modes, character detail and the new seamlessly merged myCareer mode, NBA 2K builds up on a successful franchise, right after NBA 2K14's 70 GOTY awards.

The reworked movement system and the fluidic shot mechanics make NBA 2K15 a massive leap in gaming.
With each character having different shooting mechanics, or, a "Feel" for their shot, 2K15 puts you to the challenge of mastering your chosen player's mechanics till perfection, performing fadeaways, turnaround jumpers and signature dunks, NBA 2K throws you into the world of your imagination.

With a new myGM mode, you can take control of a team's finances and minutes, as well as coaching staff and promotions. Contest for a title, drafting new players each new season, working up to the challenge of keeping players healthy and managing the needs and tantrums each one has.

With MyCareer, you can expect a fast paced experience as players mentor you in real time, based on your performances. Featuring real voices dubbed by players, coaches and personalities such as Pharrell Williams himself, NBA's career mode will see you in the shoes of an NBA player.

Flaws: For returning PC players from 2K14, it's a whole new ball game. There'll be various changes you'll have to accustom to master the game. The fast paced action of the game will be a whole new experience for us(Coming from a 2K14 player, trust me.).

Final Verdict: It's a good deal for NBA fanatics.

I'll admit, I haven't played an NBA game in years, but it's amazing how far they've come. The gameplay is fluid and responsive. The graphics and physics are impressive, and help with the overall immersion. The presentation is sleek. The announcers sound natural, and didn't seem to repeat themselves like I'm used to. This all comes together to make NBA 2k15 feel more like an interactive tv broadcast than a video game.

My only real complaint is the awkward menu system. To go back in the menu, you have to scroll over to the "exit" option rather than just hit the "B" button on the controller, or "Escape" on the keyboard. It is rather frustrating. They have the main game down, hopefully next year they simplify the menu system. That said, it's a minor complaint.

I'd highly recommend this to any basketball fan, even if you are used to arcade style games like NBA Jam. NBA 2k15 is easy enough to pick up and play, and a lot of fun.

Hi All,

I love basketball since Jordan days and this is my 1st basketball game in a long time. After playing this for 2 weeks heres
my review. Better get a controller to play its much easier. My lifetime favourite team is Chicago Bulls.

I have 93 rating SG ( 45ppg/ 5rbs/7.3 assists/3.5steals/1.6 blocks) with mostly all gold badges so far 34. Full Athlete bars and full defensive bars at times can be quite frustrating to guard even the star players. I have also SF 75, PF85 trying out different stories.

1) Good Animation and graphics. You can even see the sweat from their body and face!
2) My Career mode allows you to play from rookie all the way to all star player. Its like roleplaying, you will get to play at times, how long you play in each game will depend on your performances and your attributes. You will have at times to play in team matches where you need to perform if able to. There will be star players chatting with you and you have to select 1 of 2 choices available, press conferences etc. If u play well, there are awards just like REal NBA Awards, MVPS, Rookie of the year, Defensive player award, getting selected in All Star games, 3 point, slam dunk contest. You will get sponsorships, you even have social media, twitter chatting etc. You earn VC currencies where you can upgrade your attributes, buy items for your players. When you are superstar the GM can request yout which free agent stars you want to have in the team! You have 100s of animations, selecting you own songs, shoes, dunks, fadeaways. layout, dribble, Put your own TATTOOS! some are free others you need VC. So how cool is that imagine your own presongs...

You can be a 6th man star or a starter star, how you want it its up to you much depends on the stats you are putting.

3) GM Mode where you can play as manager managing any clubs but with a chairman barking at you, dealing all drafts ,trade, recruit staffs, finances etc or even create your own leagues with your own rules. You can also play as player and earn VC too but its fixed to your contract terms depending on your experiences and team chairman. And you can even buy over the club too but will cost 50k VC!
4) ONline games where you can play with friends or online , 1 on 1 , to 5 v 5 etc,
5)My Park where you can team up and play against players using your career player. Customized your own player with items too. Uses VC as well.
6) AI opponents and teammates have been very good. (If you screen, most teammates have the initiative to do what they are suppose to do. Especially for star players. Like derrick rose, paul, stephen etc. Mostly that is)
7) Myteam where you can get player cards and trade, or play against challenges, computer quests etc and you can earn MT Currencies or even player, team, logo, shirt, to add to your collection and create your own team and play.
8) You do not have to play online against others if you want to, you can just compete with AI or doing your career, challenge,gm mode, lots of things to do.

1) Too many different currencies. You have MT and VC. (VC is mostly for career, gm and others though VC can also use for myteam package but will be more expensive. MT is only for Myteam Mode)
2) Star players on difficulty levels can be too difficult to guard. Example: When star players dribble or catch a ball, if you react in time to catch up, you will be slow down or pause most times unable to block or catch up with them.
3)After several years in career mode can be quite repeating stories and scenes. Even after several years your all star status , when teams come after you, the salary you are gettign are all the same which is ridiculous!!
4) NO relationships with Women or dating! Just the freaking coaches barking at you! Coach satisfaction is hard to raise and satisfy, when most times you do somthing right, it increase very little, but once u did not do it right it decreases alot.
5) Server online still lags at times, making it disadvantage when playing online not able to react fast enough.
6)MyTeam mode challenge everything is more difficult to play even though though u have good set of PLAYERS! even when inside you got good position or easy to score basket half of the time you are unable to score, I found it easier to score mid range or long range! MYteam mode is mostly very unfair advantage geared towards the players. I did not enjoy this part and hardly play in the mode.
7) There is a in app purchase where you can purchase VC at cheap price, most games are becoming like free games or have add in purchasing economy.
8)Nothing is perfect in this world, so ...

Get it, still the best game out there!!!!! I Have not enjoy so much of basketball fun for a long time!

TIPS from me to make your life easier when playing.

1) Try farming at least 20k to 50k VC through online or quick matches AND also DL NBA2k15 to your MOBILE PHONE!. LOgging in daily and playing some matches helps to gain at least 1k to 2k VC DAILY! Or just create any position to experience hows career mode like. I recommend SG. Job is to shoot. :P. UNtil you get how you feel then create the one that you wish to play. PG is a very challenging position as you will be competiting alot of star players. SO SG, SF in my opinion is easier. Set to custom or casual mode to farm as much as you can.
2) What grade and how you perform depends on the coach objectives and how well you guard the player. EG; SG, SO Always UPGRADE Athlete, Shooting and lastly defensive in the beginning. Score some points, defend well, set screens( < this is very easy to get grades, at times help to set screens)
3) Once you get above 70++ then out some points in other areas, rebound will be last.
4) 3 points is very important in my opinion because it can really helps to break and pull away the difference in scores,(set to casual mode, even you have 70 shooting, if released at the right timing most times can go in) even when i play casual mode can be frustrating at times, needless to say in Pro , all star or HOF difficulty. The scores must be at least 15 points or mode in difference cos your opponent can sometimes come back easily with 3s, blocks etc.
5) Also help to defend like steals and blocks, these will made a difference as well. REMEMBER ALWAYS SET SCREENS AT TIMES TO HELP YOUR STAR TEAMMATES TO SCORE AND GET GOOD GRADES!
6) When defending players see how their movement and the way they shoot and layout so that you have easier time to defend them nexttime, stay not too close and not too far some distance. Always see whats their strengths eg: if 3 points is B++ to A ++, stay closer to them, get ready to block or challenge them. Aslo listen to what the commentator syas or hints or the coach, If inside is B to A + give some distance or stay very close to block their way. If someone like Lebrone James , I say good luck to you :P

If you have questions do buzz me I may be able to help.

Cheers and Have Fun :P

Before I begin I should note I have not played a single NBA game in almost ten years. This being said, having played NBA 2K15 during the free weekend I can say that it is a neat game. and it is not only looks, but sounds great. I cant compare it to any of the other countless NBA games, simply because I don't have the experience to. I think NBA 2K15 is cool, but if you have doubts you should probably seek a second opinion before purchasing. Otherwise I would recommend it for any fans of the NBA video games.

Things I liked

- The menu layout

- The Sound track

- The customization (shoes, players, ect.)

I felt that the gameplay in general needed some fine tuning, sometimes switching players felt erratic, and passing and movement sometimes felt really sluggish.

I personally feel this game is a big step-up from NBA2K14 with not just game mechanics, but 2K's attention to detail on the little things. Story is a lot different and interesting. I actually want to sit and watch the openings of each game because it makes me feel like I'm there watching the game. I can definitely see myself sinking lots of hours into this game.
In conclusion, if you're a fan of 2K's NBA games, you should pick this game up and give it a go.

This game is a solid all around game, the only thing that stands out negatively is that if you wish for your 'My Player' to even be competitive in My Park or anything like that, unless you want to sit forever playing games, you need to buy VC, which I did, and all is well.

As far as the MyTeam element goes, they do a good job making it a 'Work for your win' element, as an example, even if you lose a match, you still get MT points to save up and purchase another card pack. So it's probobly my favorite element of the game.

Get it, you'll have fun.
