Riguardo questo gioco

The second chapter in one of the most loved and respected Japanese shooting game series ever: The Tale of ALLTYNEX by Japanese indie developer SITER SKAIN. Carefully crafted play experiences, destructive fun, and absorbing gameplay have made the ALLTYNEX trilogy renowned in shmup / shooting game communities, both in Japan and overseas.

Story
Many years have passed since the ALLTYNEX incident and humanity’s resettlement of the Earth. The world’s nations have joined to form a unified economy and a global militaristic government. However, in opposition to the worldwide mass oppression, a resistance organization arose: Valkyness.
The decades long conflict between the Global Unified Army and Valkyness is suddenly interrupted when an alien force arrives seeking vengeance on humanity for atrocities inflicted upon their people.
Earth's war against the Raiwat leads to a surprising ending that reduces almost the entire planet to scorched earth, brings mankind to the verge of extinction and sows the seeds of the events to follow in KAMUI.

This game may not have the best graphics "amimations are a little choppy" but the gameplay, music and controlls are outstanding. The game is pretty hard and I only recommend to fans verticle shoters because you need quite abit of skill to progress in this game. This game is simmular to the old turbo graphixs shoters and arcade shoter. I give it a 8/10 must buy!

Screw you Reflex. I finished your crazy shmup with the super cheap end boss after 15 tries.

Bullet hell sums this one up nicely. Decent 2d top down shmup, that punishes as well as delights. Retro style in the vein of 1942, Gradius, and Ikaruga. It gets brutal quickly, and it's very easy to get lost in the mayhem.

Pros:
Easy learning curve, move, shoot and shield.
Neat idea with the shield reflecting bullets and getting a hefty point boost
No weapon leveling, you're meant to die, not be a god
Graphics are retro and fit the game well. Smooth movement.

Cons:
No full screen mode. Seriously, this game would have looked better in a full screen mode

Bottom line:
I enjoyed Syder arcade more than this one, i can't really say why. Might leave you disappointed if you paid full price for it (8 bucks is steep for this kind of title). However, it is fun and is a decent time waster.

7/10
all ages (might annoy littler gamers until they get the feel for the genre)

RefleX is a bullet hell shoot-em-up with the traditional oldschool graphics and inferface. Secondary attack activates a self-recharging shield which blocks or reflects enemy attacks. Everything here is excessive - the explosions, the starting firepower, the enemies. And while a lot of this has been done to death, there were actually quite a few moments in RefleX that made me say "Wow that's pretty cool." Admittedly the game didn't hold my interest for very long, but I think it's still one of the better titles in this genre.

Fairly decent shoot-em-up with an interesting shield mechanic (absorbs some shots while reflecting others) and scoring system. Like any shoot-em-up of this nature, it's very challenging, but still fun for a while. Recommend using a controller for this game.

FANTASTIC vertical shmup with an instrinsically satisfying gimmick: Your button that isn't "shoot" reflects projectiles and laser beams allowing you to focus on combat rather than power-up collection. Great graphics and mesmermizing Mode 7-esque sprite rotation sucks you in as you respond to manic bullet threats from all sides and all dimensions. I much prefer horizontal shmups but this one grips me like few shooters can. I can't really compare it to anything properly but it definitely brings me back to playing Truxton on the Mega Drive or 1942 in the arcade.

Amazing shmup! The excellent visuals, music and enemy designs will lure you in, the intense action will keep you playing. While the patterns are a bit too bullethellish for my taste it ultimately didn't matter - RefleX is an excellent effort and possibly my favourite shmup on Steam right now. The reflect-system that is in place provides a nice dynamic between firing your lasers and avoiding bullets to recharge as well as using reflected shots to score the big points.

I gotta say: I love Stage 3 - it stands out the most for me. It is a massive space battle among many capital ships - it is so epic! Gigantic lasers and all. And it reminds me nicely of one of my favourite shmups ever (Raystorm). In fact, the storyline told pretty much exclusively through gameplay is what kept me going - the game just goes completely bonkers towards the end.

It's the kind of grandeur and scale that only japanese arcade games could provide for the longest time - and RefleX is a nice throwback to the old days of screenfilling bosses, massive explosions and destruction on a global scale and it does so without any waifu-fanservice (which is a big plus in my book).

It should provide plenty of challenge for the casual shmup-player (me!) as well as the truly hardcore who have to 1CC everything. Can't wait for the next games in this series and would highly recommend you give this game a try.

There are a lot of bad 2D shmups on Steam. This isn't one of them. In fact, it's pretty dang good. If this had came out on the PS1 or Saturn, it'd have been a big deal, and that's a high compliment.

Straightforward controls. Straightforward mechanics.. Shield bounces back bullets, which is the key mechanic. Old school pixel graphics. Old school rock solid collision detection. Old school bullet overload.

If any of that appeals, you should be looking out for this!

Like I said before in my Crimzon Clover review, it has everything a good shmup has to offer.

What really stands out about this game is the unique shield mechanic and the transition between stages/bosses

Its also a rather blissful game with its soundtrack and visuals

This is a game about shooting spaceships (and tanks) until you find a really big spaceship (or tank) and shoot that.
This is a game where some rocket or plasma ball or laser will be flying at you every millisecond.
This is a game where you have a shield to protect against those projectiles.
This is a game with a great soundtrack.
This is a game with cool graphics.
This is a game that is really cheap for its quallity.
This is a great game.
So try it out.

RefleX is a pretty good shmup and I recommend it. It has pleasing visuals, sweet music, and a great difficulty ramp. My only beef is that some quicker bullets are nearly impossible to see when the screen is lit up with tons of them.

A slightly euro bullet hell about dirty spaceships spinning their turrets at each other is full of unavoidable patterns and, gasp, only allows 4-way directional input. How could this be anything but mediocre? RefleX rises above expectations with a twitch shielding mechanic that is tightly linked to score, weapon power, and of course survival. It's elegant and essential without feeling overstated.
