I love Mashed but this version of the game has a game breaking glitch/bug. Most of the time when you try to go over a jump you hit an invisible wall and fall down. Please follow the link to confirm this. http://steamcommunity.com/app/281280/discussions/0/540742579540911494/

One of the greatest, this games 4-player action is intense to no end, and will leave your apartment in ruins.
I first started playing this game back on the original Xbox, and we probably played this game daily for 3 or so years.
Picked this gem up recently on the summer sale for something like 0.79€, I didn´t even know it existed on the PC.

I´t impossible to not taunt and laugh in your friends stupid monkey faces when you ride past blasting a couple shotgun shells making them tip over. But you´ll get new friends.
Dare I say this is the best competitive top-down, local multiplayer racing game ever? I do.

Pros:
Intense multiplayer gameplay
Sweet weapon attachments for your ride
Solid tracks to race

Cons:
Your friends will hate you
Not the "Fully Loaded" version
No online multiplayer

Conclusion:
Buy this game, even at 5€ it´s a steal. You will not be dissapointed.

This is one of those game i playied constantly on my ps2 with my friends, its was one of those games (local) multiplayer games like Goldeneye and MarioKart that kept your friends coming back for more, simple in premise, excellently executed, balanced gameplay and easy for a new player to pick up.it always felt fair and it was your player skill that let you down not the game.

These qualities make it a type of game that is hard to find these days. Nearly anyone (friends, family and even a Child can play) you can pick this up instantly and become a challenger the more players you have in game the more fun it becomes.

It isnt all great though, there isnt any online/lan play, which is a huge shame, the graphics arent updated, yeah it isnt fully loaded but this actualy seems faster these days(maybe im getting old) they later released wrecked which had all the online features i want for this but wrecked had lost its soul and this game has a bigger heart. its all core gameplay nothing else.

the weapons in this youve see a dozen times elsewhere but they have a knack to them, the missle launcher causes soo much fun, you lock on, fire, watch it go, then if the other driver has skill will use it too hit another player, with the possibility of him crashing trying to do all of this at once. The chaingun seems just like a stress release as you fire the entire mag into an opponents backside just to set him on fire but use it on a corner or on an incoming bounching barrel and it all becomes clear, there are mines,a chaingun, missle, morter (my fave if your last) oil slick and even exploding bouncing barrels

I say hook this up to your big display/projector, get some beers, controllers, get some people to play and get wrecked sorry meant Mashed

Was a classic on the ps2 manys hours spent playing the local multiplayer with friends shame this is not the fully loaded edition (which featured more of everything and fixed a few glitches such as camera angles)

I ve played many hours of this in the past with friends or alone and it was quite fun. But then I got myself a Micro Machines V4 and found the difference is huge even though core of both games is similar. Mashed BUGS VERY VERY OFTEN and is unrewarding compared to Micro Machines V4. Shame MMV4 isn t on steam, cause it has an online multiplayer whereas Mashed won t even let you use the team play feature against com (2 pl vs 2 com) you only can 1pl 1com vs 1pl 1com. Sad isn t it, but I still have to recommend to those who don t have or don t know how to find MMV4, it will do the trick. However If you have MMV4 don t bother - wasted money.

If you have multiple controllers and enough friends this game is very entertaining, the graphics are outdated and the menu looks janky throughout the whole process, but the fun to be had as you zoom around the tracks makes it worth it.

Only buy it for local multiplayer, this game has everything it needs to entertain you and your little friends.

Looks fun, but unfortunatly does not work. It gives a blank screen and then hangs.
I had to let it sit at the launcher just so I had 5 minutes of play on record so I could submit a review.
Not worth the risk.

A fun arcade racing game that suffers from horrible, non-rebindable controls and no customization. Very reminiscent of the Micro Machines series. 6.5/10

If you like unfair AI, repetitive commentary, invisible obstacles and and an erratic car that spins out for no reason, then this is the game for you.

As soon as you pick up this game you enjoy it. The controls are simple to learn and if you can't learn the defaults, you can change the controls on start up of the game any time you open it if you wish.

When you play this game you instantly feel a hint of Micro Machines about it as the cars are weird, the power ups are simply too much for a real car and the tracks all have hidden features that make gameplay special.

The driving is great, drifts are well handled by the game and collisions are also effectively managed. All of the cars look great. Everyone has the same car in each level so its pure use of driving skill and power up tactics.

Although its a great game, there are a few things that could be ironed out to make the game that more special. On some courses there are jumps across ravines, rivers etc and on other courses there are side routes to jumps, sometimes when going up these your car just flips down the ravine (doesnt happen most of the time but its annoying in survival mode).

As you see my playtime is 13 hours, this is how long it took to complete the game winning everything. Granted it took some time going over events I previously couldnt win but the creator should add a few more tracks and vehicles but each time a game of that track is complete, a random new scenario is made so you can replay stuff.

OTHER than these few issues, I think Mashed is a great game and would give it 9/10.

100% fun.

Crappy GFX from 2004, but this was a tried and tested playstation 2 title.

Will let you play 4 local Co-op!!

Controler workds good, and the action is non-stop.

This is not a typical race game. They have some really mind bending rules that keep the action happening.

10/10... Ignore the crappy GFX, use your graphics cards control pannel to turn on AA and Anso filtering. Tripple buffering and Vsync will not work.
