What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“An Early Access Beta Pack is your chance to experience and have an impact on Deadbreed® as it progress through the final stages of development. Be aware that, while our Early Access offer is already a great representation of the game, it’s still work in progress and therefore contains bugs, unfinished features and some unpolished content.

New features and improvements will be added regularly. We strongly advise you not to buy and play the game at this stage unless you understand what Early Access means and are ready to accept possible interruptions or flaws in your gaming experience. It makes most sense to play an Early Access game if, for instance, you want to support the development of the game, influence the development with your feedback or just want to get a taste of things.

The game will be available in several languages, but the Early Access version will only be in English.

Player feedback is very important to us, so we'd love to hear from you. Let us know what you think could be improved, what bugs you encounter and what we did right so far. The more you tell us, the better we can make the game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our current target is to complete the closed Beta phase by the end of the summer and move into open Beta.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access closed Beta is already a great representation of the game, however it’s still work in progress and therefore contains bugs which will gradually be fixed as we move through the Beta stages. In addition to this we also plan to add a couple of features and maps plus a set of Heroes, Artifacts, Totems and Sentinels to the full version of the game. We are also targeting several additional language versions of the game for the full version.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“We are at the initial stages of the Beta phase.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No. However, there will be a "free-to-play" full version of the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We've already gotten great feedback from the Steam Community in our Greenlight campaign and we hope this will evolve now that players get a chance to participate hands-on and help us improve the game by letting us know about any bugs encountered and hopefully providing constructive feedback and suggestions.”

Fresh update available now!

We’ve improved on the general game play experience and fixed bugs! In particular we’ve improved the basic navigation and general feel when moving and attacking.

Login now and check out the latest update!

  • Basic navigation (moving) and path finding has now been improved significantly in general (lots of issues have been resolved and the overall feel of the game has improved).
  • The attack speed issue has been resolved (you are no longer able to interfere with the statistical attack speed of you hero, i.e. attack animation cancelling is no longer possible).
  • Chasing (moving and attacking) has now been improved significantly in general.
  • The troll spawn cutscene on the Graveyard map has been disabled as we work on the intended solution.
  • We have resolved the issue with “disappearing” icons for hand slots in the Armory.
  • Fixed a bug where Domini could grow into a Godzilla Domini (huge).
  • Fixed a bug where you went into stealth (invisible) near the banner stands.
  • Improved responsiveness on Cinder’s Kick Of Fury Ability.
  • Improved responsiveness on Cinder’s Spiritwalk Ability.
  • Improved responsiveness on Nekros’ Shatter Spirit Ability and gave it new Sound.
  • Improved responsiveness on Nekros’ Bind Ability.
  • Improved responsiveness on Demonata’s Shadow Blend Ability.
  • Improved responsiveness on Corpus’ Jolt Ability.
  • Team Banners are now worth 9 points when captured and burnt (instead of 12).
  • Blood is now worth 2 points when collected (instead of 1).
  • Added an alert message when a player fails the Sentinel Vote or to select a hero in match setup.
  • Battle Scars now count up and provide rewards (this is applied at match end so currently “baked into” your match Copper reward in the profile.
  • Banners burnt (flags captured) now count up in the profile (the banner near your xp bar).
  • You do not lose a Bronze Key any more if a player fails at Sentinel voting or Hero select and you are returned to the lobby.
  • Assigning a 6th Rank Star to an already maxed out ability section on your hero rank ups should no longer make you lose that star (and obviously not work as the max cap you can assign is five Rank Stars).
  • Fixed a bug where you kept any Bronze Key used to unlock Demalius for a match.
  • Fixed a bug where the portrait icon of the hero you chose in hero select didn’t show.

A brand new game update is live!

Some highlights of this update is a “practice” with friends game where you can invite up to two friends to play 2v2 or 3v3 as a Duo or Trio (you are able to fill a missing team member slot with a bot), an Auto upgrade shop feature that will buy you a recommended item suitable for your chosen role and basic “bot” behavior to mention a couple of things.

Login now and check out the latest update!

  • You are now able to play Practice games in co-op with friends. Invite up to two friends to play 2v2 or 3v3 as a Duo or Trio (you are able to fill a missing team member slot with a bot).
  • Non-player Heroes (Bots) now have basic behavior and use abilities in Practice mode.
  • Non-player Heroes (Bots) now upgrade their item builds in Practice mode.
  • Fixed several issues with Artifact purchasing in the Armory (shop) during match.
  • Added Hero unique icons and mouse over help texts for “empty/unequipped” item slots in the game interface to make it clearer what you have equipped and can have equipped.
  • New Meta Copper Coin and Experience Points award system in place. We are working on balancing the numbers for PvP, Practice, wins by points or by Sentinel defeat etc.
  • We have moved the Team Banners in the Graveyard map to make them a more integral part of the tactical game play. They are no longer placed in your respective base but opposite the nectar plants on each side. They are now prime targets and you’ll need to defend yours (can be carried by a player) and snatch the opponent’s for valuable team points.
  • Creeps, monsters and structures now have icons when clicked and highlighted in the top left corner during a match.
  • Totems are now classified as Artifacts and are enabled again (you need to unlock them in the Lobby before enabling them in the in-game shop as with any other Artifact).
  • A “playing as and against” tips window has been activated for each hero in the Lobby focus view.
  • Fixed a bug with items providing Power Pierce voiding Power Damage from abilities if it was great than the target’s Power Resist (for example using such an item and activating Brood’s Death Breath sometimes caused it to not inflict damage).
  • Fixed a bug where the Announcer sometimes called out that an enemy was terminated when you got a kill.
  • Fixed a bug where your portrait icon was replaced with the slain enemy’s portrait icon if you assisted in a kill.
  • Game development Credits are now viewable in the Settings.
  • The “close application” button in-match has now been move to Settings.
  • The role you choose for your hero pre-match, should now be valid in the meta game in terms of Role Rewards post game (i.e. playing Brood as a Mage will give you a Mage Role played count up).
  • We have implemented an Award animation sequence for XP, Rank Stars, Copper Coins, Silver Coins and all types of Key awards in the lobby so it’ll be easier to track your progress and rewards when they occur.
  • Your weekly Key replenish rate ((the free-to-play keys you get every week if you login) has been adjusted towards your highest value Early Access package and you are now able to see how many keys you are getting with every weekly login at your Profile page in the Lobby.
  • You are now able to “buyback” individual Rank Stars you have assigned to a Hero. Each buyback costs 100 Copper.
  • You are now able to “buyback” individual Rank Stars you have assigned to Artifacts to give the additional sockets. Each buyback costs 100 Copper and will wipe the socket Gem.
  • Hero ability descriptions in the Lobby Hero focus view has had a facelift and is a lot clearer.
  • We have begun work on our game “Tutorial” (reachable from the Settings or active the first time you play). This update will have the “Lobby part” first pass on helping you start your first game.
  • We have begun work on our game “Help Center” which you can view by clicking the Question mark button in either the Lobby or in-game beneath the mini-map.
  • You are able to purchase additional Gold Keys through the premium button in the Lobby.
  • Hero skins are now accessible through the premium button in the Lobby.
  • The Templar Brimstone skin is now available.
  • The Exorcist Brimstone skin is now available.
  • The Nosferatu Brimstone skin is now available.

Game Description

A Dark Breed of Heroes

Deadbreed® features a new, dark breed of Heroes. Choose from three distinct types of breed, depending on your personal taste in look and style of play, may it be Nightbreed, Halfbreed or Daybreed. There are just too many unique aspects that differentiate the breeds to list here, but keep in mind that the sight range of Night- and Daybreed varies with the day cycles and that some items can be limited to a specific breed.

Customization, Armory and Artifacts

Deadbreed® features a player centric customization feature, meaning the player has greater influence over his Hero’s look and capabilities. The items you equip not only shape the way the hero looks while playing, they dictate the way he/she moves and attacks to.

Equipping a sword and a shield will make your hero a melee fighter with the sword’s range, while re-equipping the same hero as an archer changes your range and attack to bow and arrow. This opens up totally new ways to explore custom items builds best suited for that particular hero’s abilities, opponents and game scenarios.

In addition to the possibility to adapt and remodel your favorite hero’s equipment choosing from a vast base armory, Deadbreed® features Artifacts. Artifacts are built during games like “normal” items, however they are unique meaning there can only be one in play at any given time during a game, adding an additional layer of strategy and tactical planning to hero item builds. In addition to this, Artifacts level up with games, unlocking relic slots that open up further customization opportunities for you to tune specific items for your favorite heroes. For fans of RPGs, the concept of “socketing” items should feel very familiar and for MOBA fans, you could really simplify this by saying we have moved the “runes” stats modifications associated with the player to individual items instead, and added unique effects on top to make these items really stand out in gameplay.

The Sentinels

The Sentinels are ancient guardians of the Deadbreed® bloodlines – arbitrators of the infernal battlegrounds where dead breed strive to break their undead bonds and lay to final rest. These immortal deities have been charged solely with construction of and ruling over the battlegrounds of death and decay as a punishment for their doings in the real world, but behind the façades, they vie for power while swaying the dead breeds to their philosophy – an eternal conflict among themselves for the right to lead an uprise from this hell and reclaim their rightful place in the cosmos.

As you progress in the game, you’ll uncover the cabal of the Sentinels and learn more about their individual weaknesses and strengths and how they fit your heroes and play style. You prove your Zeal for a Sentinel by choosing it as your Guardian in a match. Then the outcome of that game will modify your Standing with that particular Sentinel, affecting its strengths, abilities and enhancements in coming games making it a more formidable last boss for the enemy team to conquer in order to win (and the other way around). As your Zeal increases, you’ll open up further paths of the cabal and gain access to older and more powerful Sentinels to devote to. Will you stay loyal to a specific breed lineage or even a single Sentinel? There are strategic decisions to be made and rewards to be claimed on a daily basis as your loyalty to the Sentinels are put to the test.

Maps, Dungeons and PvE Features

The Early Access kicks off with The Graveyard. At its core, the Graveyard is a 3vs3 two-lane map with a Citadel at each end protected by monoliths. The overall goal of the map is to break the crux on the gates to gain access to the Citadel and defeat the enemy team’s Sentinel.

The Graveyard also features a Troll Cave where you can summon a Troll to fight for your side, two smaller dungeons on each team’ s side of the map and an entrance to a larger Dungeon placed dead center of the map. The concept of Dungeons is familiar to all hack’n slash fans – and our game has plenty of monsters and loot, however the big difference being that our Dungeons are much, much smaller in size and offer no way out than the way you went in, leaving you vulnerable to the enemy team. So, dungeons are our “mini-adventure” version of other MOBA’s monster nests.

Ranked Mode

Ranked mode allows you to test your skills against opponents of comparable skill and earn special ranks to reflect your skill. Winning and losing matches can gain or lose rank, and special rewards, like custom Insignia, gravestones etc. Each player's rank is reflected in their Gravestone and plaque. There are currently 5 divisions ranging from Bronze up to Diamond, with each division split in 5 series.

Early Access Review
Check the bottom for my updates! (Newest update, 12/16/14)

As this game is still in early access, my review will be in my early stages of the early access.

This MOBA has a lot of excellent, innovative ideas. Some ideas are implemented to perfection, while others are extremely lackluster. I'll shine some light on a handful of ideas that I love, while I go into detail about some of the things that could use some work.

- Ridiculous number of in-game items: Not only do have a choice of a number of different items, but the items are placed on your character straight away. You can dual wield two different weapons and look like a bad ♥♥♥! Your helms, shoulder armor and body armor will all appear on your character, which could make you look like an intimidating specimen. Some armor and weapons are so cool that you need to unlock them before you can use them, which brings me to my next point.

- Keys and currencies: Keys (which are separated by copper, silver and gold) are for a number of different purposes. You can use keys to unlock playable characters (for one match, one day or even one week), unlock items/insignia, or even enter a dungeon in-game for a chance at obtaining even more keys and loot! The currency is very similar to other MOBAs, as you have silver coins, which is purchased with real money, and you have copper coins, which you gather from playing in-game. Of course, you can use either currency for character, weapon/item or insignia purchases.

- General characters: Although I have only played with a few characters, I can tell you that I really enjoy each particular creature's unique talents. The detail on each Breed or Sentinel is fantastic and the dark, horrific scheme that is given to each character is different from your everyday MOBA. Although the character details and skills are different from one another, you can customize your character in-game to play any way that you wish, as your items will generally determine what type of class you are (this doesn't change your skills, only the power of your basic attacks)

- Boss fights: This is an interesting twist on the MOBA genre. In general, the end of a 3v3 or 5v5 game in a MOBA ends with one team destroying a large tower or power source. In Deadbreed, the object is to defeat a gigantic boss, which is voted upon before entering the game. Theses bosses can have multiple health bars and could take time defeating, depending on how early your team makes it through the Crux (the door leading to the boss room). These bosses add an extra challenge and spin to the genre, and I prefer that to simply beating on a dead, worthless pillar for 30 seconds.

These are the more positive things that I have gathered from my short playing time thus far. I am sure I will continue to update my post as I play more often and add to my (short) hour count.

Here are the ideas and implementations that I am hoping the developers could take a look at, and possibly change.

- In-game shop and filtering: Although I am extremely pleased with the amount of items, weapons and armor that is available via the in-game shop, I grew increasingly frustrated with how much time it was taking to find particular items that I was searching for. You can filter by the item type or by the effect of the item, but it does not seem that you can filter by the cost of the item. I like to spend pretty much all my gold at the shop, and would love to use it all on one item, but I have to sift through a number of randomly priced items in order to find the one I'm looking for.

- Shop location and purchasing: Probably my biggest issue with this game thus far, is the fact that you cannot purchase items while you are in the process of respawning. As a matter of fact, you cannot purchase items unless you are in an extremely precise location in your home base. At one point, I had to basecamp while standing in my home base, because I was not in the correct spot to purchase items. We should be able to purchase items while respawning, as it will keep the game moving quickly. We should also increase the size of the area in which purchases are allowed (maybe at the top of the steps on each side of the base?).

- Creepers: I thoroughly enjoy the creepers in this game. They can be troublesome early on, but I have found them to be more annoying then anything. In most MOBAs, you can stand behind your creepers and let them take the punishment. In general, the enemy creepers won't attack you unless you're the first person they see or all the friendly creepers have died. In Deadbreed, you can be attacked by creepers at any moment, regardless of how many friendly creepers are attacking them. I don't like this idea. I feel like creepers should be used as decoys so champions can go toe-to-toe without having to worry about getting their butts smoked by little creeps.

- Community/Player base: I haven't had any issues with the community in general, but I will say that it does take quite a bit of time to get a PvP game going. Perhaps, it's because there isn't a large community of players? Either way, it's frustrating when you pay $9.99 for a game (I got the Undertaker version) and you have to wait long periods of time to get into a game. I am hoping this game either goes free-to-play, or makes the appropriate changes to increase it's player base.

Again, I will continue to update this as I go along. I have really enjoyed this game and will continue to play. I am hoping the developers will take a look at these suggestions and at least acknowledge what could be used to help make this game even better! Until then, I will add to my current record total (in terms of hours played) and see what else I can find during my gameplay. Thanks for reading!

UPDATE (12/16/2014): The developers implemented a new patch on December 12th and a number of the concerns/issues I had with the game have been addressed!

- You can now open up the shop while you are in the process of respawning.
- You no longer have to stand in that one specific spot in your home base in order to purchase items. As long as you're in the general vicinity of your home base, you are good!
- You can now practice with one or two friends, instead of just yourself.
- There is an auto purchase feature that allows you to purchase items much faster.
- There are now breakable barrels scattered throughout the map with gold inside to use for in-game purchases.
- The banners (used to obtain team points by capturing and burning the other team's banner) have been moved to opposite sides of the map, which proves a bit more challenging than before.

- AI is more intelligent than before, but can still be pretty stupid. They generally don't try to avoid getting killed from turrets and they only start running from human players when they are extremely close to dying.
- I find it difficult to hide in the grass. You kind of have to stand there for a few seconds before going invisible and when you try to base camp, you are no longer invisible. You should be invisible in the grass even when you are trying to base camp.
- Would like if you could open up the shop at any point in time. Would make it easier to purchase items if I could open up the shop in the process of base camping.

Early Access Review
I was recently invited to the beta, and i can say right now, even with all the problems the game has, i am thourougly enjoying it. It is Unique, fast paced, and an absoloutely beautiful game. the creators put a lot of work into it, and it shows.
it truely is a spooky themed game. every breed seem's valid throught all stages of the game, all roles have their use, and i absoloutely adore how the diety's work. the artifact system is so unique it's one of the things that drove me to sign up for the game. the breed's feel unique, and look the part to. the dungeon's are entertaining to dive into and take the loot to upgrade yourself with, and wearing items is the coolest thing i have ever seen in a moba. but, along with the good, also comes bad. time to get into the darker side of this game. the movement does not feel very fluid, and the combat can become very one sided, pretty early on. some heroes are slightly unbalanced, as i find corpus to be a little silly when he get's a bow artifact. it requires 2 or more people to kill one person as a general rule, sometimes 3, and the fact that corpus can solo just about anyone except tanks is very rediculous. and since you have to buy, or save up coins to unlock new breeds, some people can't counter him. ranged is FAR to powerful compared to melee. either buff melee or debuff ranged, the unbalance between the two is rediculous. some breeds abilities feel like they don't have any real use, or are just to much of a pain to cast. for example, Nekros's ultimate reanimates anything you killed to fight by your side. but it is point target, and you cannot select corpses and they despawn very fast. it is such a painful ability to use i have given up on his ultimate completely and just spam his E. and Nekros is just an example, there are more examples. next, some skillshot abilities feel like they do not have enough impact. surem, they deal fair damage, but late game they are pointless as the damage can be outweighed by a couple of right clicks, and the cast time is not worth it. there is no real hotkey customization, and you cannot traverse the map with the arrow keys, a feature i find a staple in most MOBA's. now, the resource system is VERY unique, but it is a bit of a pain. having to wander around the map can be bothersome at times, and there is only one bloodstone that respawns slowly. the crux should have more HP, as it can easily be solo'd which beats the point of it being a team game. the artifacts have to be bought like heroes, or save up to get, which i find stupid. sure, you can use keys to unlock them for one game, a day, or even a week, but not all are able to be so, and having to pay for the right to buy an over powered item in game is rediculous. it just adds to the unbalanced nature the game can have at times. now, i still love playing this game, despite all it's flaws, and believe me, it has many flaws. but these can all be fixed, and quite easily might i add by a bit of balancing. maybe decrease attack speed of ranged, or decrease damage. make skillshots more powerful, make corpses targetable... add hotkey support... the beauty of the game is that it is still in development. and if it were not, i would probably rate it poorly from a reviewers standpoint, even though i do enjoy it. but i see so much potential in this game that it i can't wait to see the finished product. i suggest you pick this game up, as i am sure you will have as much fun as i will. thank you for reading my review.

The game is good from what i've seen.
However I found myself lost while trying to play it as there is no real tutorial which I could find and not to forget the game has barely any one playing :/
Apart from that it's okay

Wow this game is awesome, I love it, everything from the dark themed art style and the cool looking characters to the weapons you can use to customize your selected hero. It is still in Beta so pvp match making is a bit shakey and can sometimes be hard to find a match. But this is a pretty unique take on the Moba genre, it feels like I am playing a dunger crawler mixed with a Moba. I get a Champions of Norath feel from it.

Theres a few bugs here and there, and I may not have played very long so far (trust me, theres hours to come) I'm very familiar with MOBAs, as I've played/play a ton of them. This game is fairly unique with a lot of things, example the dungeons (gates you walk through to fight monsters in a confined area for gold and keys (keys can unlock things in game like champions, artifacts, etc.)like walking through a portal to another place) The game is definitely creepy themed, and if you love MOBAs i recommend this, because between the PVE (fighting monsters in "dungeons") and the PVP that goes on in the game, AND the epic end boss battles when you push the crux (a gate to your "Dungeon" AKA "Nexus" or "DIRE" When you enter the dungeon you fight a boss called a "sentinel" which is picked by the team at the beginning of the game. AND the customizations make the game very enjoyable for people who are into the looks and such. Able to purchase ANYTHING in game with in game currency, AND there's a currency for real money. it's a great ton of fun. That is if you can get passed the few bugs here and there. (game crashes from time to time etc.) Will probably write a more in depth review of this game when i get more hours into it and learn more from it, but i hoped this helped, and hope to see some of you crazy freaks on the battle field!

I noticed a lot of reviews before I bought it almost ran me off from getting this, but after playing it throughly instead of 0.1 hours like most of the reviews who dont even have a hour and talking bad about it, are doing false reviews for some reason or are just ignorant to what a MOBA is, this game is worth playing, everything can be bought via playing the game.

Amazing customization, animations are beautiful, spells and skills are unique to the breed.

I just got the death deluxe pack on the 16th and I was leary of spending on money a Early access especially on steam since every crook and fraud goes there now to make money on games they cant or never plan on completing and with some of the bad reviews I have to say after playing it for a few days, the game is really under advertised, this is a GEM , it plays super, the mechanics are great could some some shortcut hot keys but I am sure those are coming to make some things easier, but this game is amazing, I have hundreds of hours in DOTA and thousands in MOBAs and this one outshines everything, LOL sucks , DOTA and DOTA 2 are in the backseat here this game is great, I just hope they keep it up.

MOBA players dont have a clue what they are missing , this game needs more serious MOBA players it is great for a EA, I am suprised how nice it runs, the lack of bugs.

Right now there is 1v1,2v2,and 3v3 but I am sure larger maps and matchs are comming. The Dungeons and there are several that zone into totally different maps under the main map that are sperate dungeons, and are FUN as hell, very hard very challenging .

Each character has his own spells, skills and tactics for use, there is a top , bottom , and sort of middle except its more for the flag banner and harvesting power ups like blood, nectar and spirit is harvested from souls you kill (players/creeps)

This game has a lot of problems it needs to address:
- slow gameplay
- poor animations
- convoluted item system
- uninspired "hero" units

In short, I don't think it's in a state to be played.

Good points :
- Excellent and dark athmosphere
- Nice design
- Potentially an excellent good moba gameplay
- seems there will be more than one map

Bad points :
-Still plenty of bugs (crash, or heroes do not always respond very well to your command, like e.g. movement, spell cast)
-Not much heroes

Worst point:
-VERY EXPENSIVE game (or I hope only early access)!! even with the 40 EUR pack, you have nothing (4 heroes/9 and 1 artefact)... You must pay additionnal heroes/weapons/sentinel if you want to have a reasonable content in game...
I started with the 8 euros pack then I went to the 40 EUR pack because the game was too poor with only one hero... Then I added some silver coins 2x 20 EUR. So I spent about 88 EUR for this game and I have the 9-8 available heroes (they removed one in the meanwhile but should come back), 2 skins, 2 sentinels and a bit more than one third of the artefacts.
I could afford that, but
1) many friends don t or just don t want to spend so much for such a game (even if they spend without counting dota2 heores skins)
2) I consider the game still in a very early stage and expect much more content, (aretfact/breed/sentinel/map). But presently it also means much more content to pay... Will I finish to spend more than 500 EUR to get a complete game?
When you are used to other games like dota2 where only skins are not free (and god knows how much i spent in dota2 skins) you can only get disgusted by the deabreed approach of making money.

Ok people could tell that I could get these stuff for free with copper coins...
Indeed you can either pay with real money (silver coins) or by farming copper coins without end... For example the cheapest weapon is a bit more than 1000 copper coins. Without quests achievement, you get about 80 copper coins per game (about 20 min per game) You can get some 100 coins more per quest and you have 3 quest per day.
So if you have plenty of time and you are very patient you can get one or two cheap item per day.

So in conclusion Deadbreed is potentially an excellent game that could even put dota2 in the grave. But it will never happend with such a stinky payment system (kind of pay to play or even pay to win), and I would not recommend this game for this reason.

My recommendation to the guy who make this stinky system:
How are you going to attract sufficient people to handle good equilibrium in matchmaking and without waiting for ages?
Please consider instead a dota2 or even starcraft2 model.

My Review for this game so far

+ Lot of customisation! cant get enough of it
+ Graphics are Nice and polished
+ lots of choices of Items so you can actualy play a MOBA without feeling just a Preset and build teh same items over and over!
+ Overall gameplay is great
+ Made dungeons work in a MOBA!!! Quite suprised if you ask me
+ I have nother negative to say about the community so far

Now the negatives:
- There are some cheesy animations in there (They might be gitches TBH)
- Minions feel like they are useless for example, if they are attacking you there is almost 0 indecation of them attacking you other than watching your Hp bar slowly drain, but dont let this stop you
- There isnt many Darkbreeds (heros) but then again each darkbreed has about 5 build paths so you wont get board quickly
- The UI is well......Not so user friendly, I mean you can navigate where you want to go fine, but it feels....Unfinnished.

I recommend this game, as a League of legends, Dota, Strife, Smite and Dawngate player, This MOBA will tower over main stream MOBA's with the right choices and additions,

Had an issue where I think I was recording before I was in a game and it caused the game to crash when I was about to enter a game. Unfortunately there was no feature to reconnect (like you have in League of Legends) when I logged back into the game. Might be something to think about adding in so players can rejoin if they have a connection issue or their computer shuts down for whatever reason during a match.

Deadbreed is the grown up father of DOTA 2.
Its like Disciples compared to Heroes of Might and Magic: same mechanic and gameplay but with a darker and more mature style plus some interesting and unique features.

Thanks Deadbreed developers for giving me a chance to test their game, here is my early access review.

I just don't like this game. The graphics and atmosphere is really good and different. But the gameplay is just broken.

Firstly lets talk about what is good about this game. The gothic atmospehere, character models look great up-close. I like the idea that that when you buy an item in-game, unlike Dota 2, it actually appears on your character. Heroes are very flexable, meaning they can fill any role with the right build. Pacing of the game feels good. The game is slow paced but it is actually a good thing if you are tired of right clicking like crazy in dota 2 or lol.

Abilities are just broken, animations and effects of the abilities are just bad. You can't even understand what is going on when you are playing it. And abilities themselves are just designed bad. They are mostly useless and you can't make good combos with them. Obviously the game has a lot of bugs but i don't mind it, it's beta after all. Controls are just again, bad. Sometimes you won't even know why an ability isn't working even though you have full mana. Right click does not cancel the ability. There is no auto-attack, or maybe there is, sometimes your hero will start to runing backwards or just stop fighting in the middle of a teamfight or when you are farming. Even though the character models are crafted beautifuly, the animations are bad.

Matchmaking can take a lot of time. Sometimes same person appears again and again, declining the match, stoping you from playing the game and this happend after you wait for like 5 minutes for game to find 6 people to play with.

There are a lot of impovements needed if this game wants to have even 10% of the success dota 2 or even Smite has.

Hello all,

This game has so many amazing MOBA ideas!!! Wow I can't wait for it to go to full launch.
As it stands I can only lay it out in Pros and Cons.

-Fantastic Art -The idea of customizing a hero to that depth is amazing -This game has the potential to create giant waves in the MOBA community

CONS (yes, it's beta or alpha i dunno. I'm forgivable)
-Everything is really really clunky - I just about smahed my keyboard looking for a way out of the equipment vendor
-you can't use minimap for directing your character. It feels like my hands are in cuffs while playing. It hurts!!!

I will be keeping this review up to date because I really want to follow this game and see it rise.
Good luck Devs!!!

Game is still in its earlier stages clearly, the store interface needs to be improved for one as well as some of the wonky abilities. There are a few balancing issues for sure but overall it's a really fun game with tons of potential.
