Acerca deste jogo

Combining its own unique take on the real-time roguelike genre, with a nostalgic 16-bit look and feel, Diehard Dungeon is a game that feels both familiar and quite different at the same time.

Followed by a trusty, treasure collecting companion chest, you must make your way through the dungeons many randomly-generated rooms and levels. Armed with a sword and a ‘hand cannon’, all manner of nasty dungeon dwellers, bosses and traps will need to be defeated or traversed in order to emerge from the dungeon victorious!

To aid you in your quest, you may be lucky enough to encounter one or more upgrades or new abilities scattered throughout the dungeon, or bump into the remnants of other players (Champions) via the unlockable 'Champion Mode'. Champions wander atop the dungeon walls, ready to unleash their souls upon passers by. Be careful though, as not all Champions are helpful.

A randomly generated dungeon is created every playthrough, with many secrets and multiple outcomes.

The game features a dynamic difficulty and ranking system - the better you do, the more challenging the game will become. Only the most skilled dungeon escapees will attain the highest ranks.

Do you have what it takes to survive the dungeon?

Minigames

  • Mayhem: You have 3 minutes to get a high score by any means necessary. Mayhem is easy to learn, but difficult to master.
  • Survival: An endless series of progressively harder dungeon rooms. Avoid receiving damage and clear rooms within the time limit for bonuses.
  • Fading Light: Destroy 10 pyramids as quickly as possible, whilst avoiding the gaze of the searching eyes, and the hordes of bloodthirsty zombies.

Each minigame has a global leaderboard.

Diehard Dungeon was for sure a pleasant surprise, Rogue-Like with some Zelda features like collecting gold, open door to travel to next level, and even the when you kill the enemies is like a Zelda game, you have two weapons, a sword and cannon ball, also during your runs you will find a shield though you won't keep for ever, is only for that run.

Diehard Dungeon feels like Zelda game no doubts on that, like i said you collect stuff and go deeper in the dungeon. Each dungeons rooms are randomly generated meaning each run will be different. You also have a companion, is chest - pretty fun huh - and this little chest will help thorough the levels, it has 5 different levels, in order to upgrade it you need to collect gold.

Also you will find some secret rooms and on those secret rooms there will be mini game, you're a chest and you need to put down fire, if you put down 100 fires you will get item/upgrade.

OST wise, well i played a couple Rogue-Like and those i played have neat BGM, Diehard Dungeon not so much, is not boring but is not exciting so i rather hear my own music. And since we're talking about OST, lets talk about the graphics, love it, that 16-bit look made me so happy!

Difficulty, well Diehard Dungeon ins't particular difficulty but all depends if the RNGesus are with you, you might get nice upgrade and you can do easy run you get crappy upgrade and die, most likely you will die - laughs - for me with took 6 runs to win. Also in order to win the run you need to collect 10 Gold Keys, to get the keys you need to destroy everything, check every wall with blue fire and defeat the boss.

If you're getting boring off doing some runs you can check out the mini games, there're 3; Mayhem, survive for 3 minutes and try to get nice score. Survival, like the names says you need to survive against endless enemies and Fading Light, destroy 10 pyramids as quickly as possible before the enemies kill you!

Overall is nice and fun Rogue-Like that i enjoyed play it, i don't have anything bad to say about it, just buy it!
