About This Game

Murder Miners is the #1 rated Xbox Live Indie Game. After a year of updating the game on Xbox and several months of work porting it to PC, we're finally ready for Steam.

*The game currently does not have split-screen play as shown in the trailer (that's in the Xbox version). We may add split-screen in an update.*

Halo-inspired core gameplay

3-shot-kill pistol included, with new additions such as wall-jumping, unlimited sprint, multi-directional dashing and alt-fire modes.

Unique Infection mode

One player starts as a zombie, hunting down the miners one by one, turning them into zombie teammates. Miners can use the Minergun to build forts, while the zombies can dig through walls and use their tentacle grab to reach higher places or pull miners toward them. Unique to our game is the ability to feast upon the corpses to level up your zombie attributes.

Online co-op map making + completely destructible maps

The Minergun makes map-creation easy and fun. Almost every popular map you can think of has been remade by our community. Share your maps via Steam Workshop.

Upon initially glancing upon the storepage, the screenshots (all of which are adorned with quotes in white text, placed in order to accentuate the fact that games such as this were made for enjoyment) lresemble something your little cousin would draw shortly after being exposed to the world of gaming. Infatuated with this new platform for his vices, and unaware of the harsh realities of life, he shows you a sketch of what appears to be an amalgamation of Minecraft and Halo. You ruffle his hair patronisingly and drop to one knee, to look him in the eye; tears now streaming down your rugged face, because a realisation has just hit you. Your beloved cousin will inevitably get the ♥♥♥♥ kicked out him in the near future. What if this seemingly silly idea was brought to life though, thought the onlookers who happened to be the future developers of Muder Miners? Truth be told, hypothetical cousin is still receiving an ♥♥♥-whooping the second he starts kindergarten, but the game itself is great.

9/10--Community's a little quiet but the gameplay is super fun and leans itself better to smaller games anyway. For $2 y'all should get it while it's luke-warm. (Or better yet, dish out an extra $3 for three copies for friends.)

This game is a whole lot of fun with friends specifically on the Murdermatch gamemode. I think it is worth way over five dollars and could get really popular in the indie game community if they updated graphics and stuff like that. I love that there is a weapon called the Hookshot where you can pretty much just swing around the map like Attack on Titan or Spiderman. I can imagine that this game was coded very well. It isn't just Halo and Minecraft put together Grant. It's a lot more.

This game was not the best ever, but there are some good qualities. I'm just going to do some pros and cons.

PROS
-There are zombies
-The build gun is also a blaster
-Headshots with a sniper feel great
-The guns are quite powerful and pretty cool

CONS
-It can get a little glitchy
-The building is a little confusing

This is literally Halo mixed with minecraft. There is no other way to say it. The weapons are literally named the exact same.
And I love it. If you loved Halo you will most defintly love this.

Fast-paced yet accessible gameplay. A lot of people say this is similar in gameplay to Halo 2 and I can see it. A friend bought this for me and I've been playing it more than I thought I would :)

ESPECIALLY for two bucks - recommended for any twitch fps fan.

For the sake of non-satirical folks out there, I have to include some foreplaywords: this review should not be taken seriously by any mean.

This game has terrible, pixelated graphics accompanied by orthodox, unimaginative gameplay revolving around spamming the left mouse button and hitting arbitrary keys on your keyboard. There's virtually no way to familiarize oneself with the game as he's thrown straight into the action. Personalization is very limited, as there are only 2.23*10^32 possible ways to customize appearance.

Butt
If you are a big fan of Halo or Minecraft, play it. If you want to jump up some parsecs and score an Ntimes360°MLG noscope headshot on the way down, play it. If you like wasting time in general, for the love of Goddess Ilias, just do it.

However, if you are on the great quest to find the mythical beast that legends have titled "life," then no, this game doesn't supply you with any of that. Butt! You can now get this "Life" DLC for only $9.99! Included free shipping and lifetime warranty!

In short, best game 7/guns do it.

I LOVE THIS GAME, the community is so polite and the devolopers are so friendly :D. Anyways what I loved about this game is that you can make your own maps, has perfect halo style pvp, ZOMBIES, and my favorite INFECTION! I could already see this happening in the future but murder miners could have a campain or A ROCKET LAUNCHER!! MUHAHA or maybe even awesomer, a ranking system? Maybe kind of like halo reach where you can rank up to get things like flaming helmets, custom interfaces or maybe some sort of awesome looking armor! This game has tons of potential that JForce can create.
This game, Halo Reach, and Destiny are my 3 favorites games :D
My rank: 9.5/10
(I never give 10s to any game lol)

I've personally played the XBLA verson of this game, and I loved it sooo much. When I heard it was coming to Steam, I had a mini panic attack. I do have to admit, this game may have some sensitive controls, but when you get used to it... it'll be worth it. I overall recommend this game to EVERYONE. This is an amazing combination of Minecraft, Halo, and Parkour. It has an amazing concept, and... just get it! I promise you, you'll love it.

Murder Miners is a game that followed on the popularity of Minecraft and zombie games by making a weird hybrid of the two, with Halo elements thrown in for some reason. But, despite the odd theme, the gameplay is very good. The gun handling and building mechanics are perfect, and the customization of maps makes it even better. To anybody interested in a modern Halo-esque game, or simply looking for a shooter with customizable maps, I'd highly recommend Murder Miners.

Suprisingly, REALLY good for someone who wants their halo multiplayer fix (I haven't had one in forever) and with over 500+ maps, I wish they did market this game more though, (also, locked at 60 fps and little graphics options but whatever)

It's like if halo 1 was also minecraft.

A solid FPS with lots of great gametypes and features, all based around the simple building block structure.

Level creator is similar to minecraft creative, except instead of admiring your creation when you're done, you can load it up and kill people in it.

So good i bought it for my friends, on PC and Xbox.

Amazing game to play with friends! 8/10

Now for some reasons!

I first bought this game about a year ago on the xbox 360 and loved to play it with my friends. Especially the zombie survival mode where you would try and hold off against increasingly difficult waves of zombies until you eventually fell.

Now this version on the PC is even better! With vehicles, two more weapons, and a great community of maps to choose from! What's great about this game is that you can make your own maps and upload them to the steam workshop for people to download and mess around with.

Speaking of community the devs are doing everything they can to bring more players to the game. Even going as far as 81% discounts and selling 4 packs for only 2.89$. It is extremely easy to play with friends or huge battles with over 10 players. Although those often just become insane sniper fights.

The game plays a lot like a halo game would with the "OP" pistol, battle rifles, snipers, along with a couple extra fun guns to work with like mineguns to place blocks with and hookshots to fly around the map with. And most of the weapons have extra abilities like the machine gun that empties the whole clip in a second and the minegun that fires a huge blast of energy at your enemies.

Some might look at the game and think "Er mah gurd! de grafics lurk leik meincwaft!" but the blocks make it awesome to build zombie survival forts in or to recreate your favorite Counter Strike map with.

In the zombie mode you can play as the zombies and join the hordes taking out the survivors or be the lone alpha zombie and scare your friends silly. The zombies have the ability to break through walls, lunge at survivors, or even use their tongues like a smoker from L4D and drag them straight to your bloody claws.

Absolutely would recommend buying this game. And if you have a friend or two you should absolutely buy the 4-Pack to have hours of fun playing with. (Even though I only have 5 hours on my record I have played this like crazy on the xbox.)

Deffinately the most fast paced shooter I have ever played. Good Controls, fast gameplay, good mapmaking, and of course, the well made hookshot. This is either one of my favourite shooters I have ever played or it is.
I give Murder Miners a 8.5/10
