Sobre este jogo

Humanity is on the verge of extinction. It’s up to you to infiltrate the AI core and win the war against the machines.

Start your journey with a simple ship, outfitted with only basic machine guns and air-to-ground missiles. As you take down more and more of the AI’s fighter’s you’ll unlock new technologies like plasma shields, wave beams, and ion cannons.

It’s totally up to you how you outfit your rig, with hundreds of possible configurations and strategies, Revolution Ace is the deepest, most strategic overhead shooter you’ve ever played.

Features
  • Powered by the Unreal engine.
  • Real water simulation and rigidbody physics. Ships react realistically when shot down, and buildings respond realistically when bombed.
  • Fight a wide variety of air, land, and sea enemies with a customizable loadout. Level up to unlock more weapon slots and perks that add additional passive bonuses like piercing and shield stealing.
  • Online and local two player co-op
  • Unique Versus mode. Send enemies and hazards to defeat your opponent.

this game has a mayor issue in objects/enemy/bullets highlighting during gameplay, but it's still quite fun to play and it costs 0,99€!

who can't recomend it?

Nostalgic. I have seen better games but this I can say this one is good.
The preview screenshots explain pretty much all about the game.

My rating: roughly 5/10

Reasons of playing:
- Bought during Steam Sale at a price where selling all the cards in the current market would actually profit by a few cent.

My experience:
- At the moment, I am at +2. The real game started when I was around something-teenth level where all equipment slots are unlocked, and I got to get past x5 combo. Have not tried Hard or Insane yet but planned to. As for the future, I expect things to be much harder as my weapons seems to have hit their limit and I can only rely on Perks.
- The split screen is something one has to get used to. It feels very different and makes those blend-in bullets and enemies harder to visually detect.
- I'm not very sure about this, but some weapons seem pointless or too useless to me. Carpet Bomb for an instance.

What I like:
- The campaign does not end at final stage.
- Various weapons and builds to choose.
- The scenery is nice, and the graphic is good. So good that I sometimes fail to detect enemies' bullets or the enemies themselves standing right there.
- The game supports multiplayer, versus and co-op, local and global.

What I don't like:
- Level. It makes this game seems grinding. (I know it's not quite but...) It also makes the early game so slow that you couldn't defeat many enemies.
- Perks. They come so early in the game that I didn't know what to do with them. They also matter so much that I want to reassign them without having to restart the game. Is there a way to do so, or can you maximize them all eventually?
- Scraps. They are harder to find at the beginning, where you will want to try out various weapons, but once you get all elite ones, they don't really matter anymore and just pile up.
- A Bug where some enemies destroyed before their action still shoot. At that point, nothing can be done to them anymore because they are already 'destroyed'.
- Versus/Battle Chain Mode. While I do like the fact the it supports multiplayer, I don't like the fact that you have to play multiplayer for Steam achievements. It's not that I don't like the idea, but it is just not right with number of players who are still playing and participating. Also, from my experience, Battle Chain is still a little buggy. Sudennly the boss disappears and becomes invulnerable, thus impossible to win.

Something else to say:
- Since the number of players in this game is not that high, expect difficulties playing globally.

In any argument regarding Revolution Ace, one conclusion stands unavoidably unequivocal: Revolution Ace is revolutionary and acey. Those operating under the seemingly innocuous misapprehension that the game is a boring rip-off of Raptor should endeavor to be more critical when allowing information of dubious provenance to consume their valuable and scarce intracranial space.

If you enjoyed Raptor: Call of the shadows like i did, Then you may enjoy this too.

Rev ace is a little slower than Raptor but I'm not complaining about that.
(Gone are my once quick response times)

This game has a few goodies like perks to enhance your fighter, Like when a missile hits one enemy it fires another missile from that to another,
Also the multiple weapons on your ship, like forward firing/side firing or super weapons, Different types of shields etc.

The skirmish if you wanna quick thrill or competing against other people.

The graphics are nice and you can choose to fire on air or land targets.

The bad part is after about lvl 30 and the campaign is complete there's not alot left to do, So i just make a new pilot. (Like i did with Raptor).

I enjoyed this game and for < 50¢ when on special all i can say is, "why not?"

A surprisingly flat entry in the bullet hell genre. Even though it only costs $1.99, I'm wishing I'd kept the money, I honestly had more fun crafting badges than I did playing this. Ikaruga or Luftrausers would be a far better choice.
