It's been a long time since a game grabbed me like this. Very addictive. Hard but fair. Super frustrating when you can't hit something, but when you finally do, you feel like a god. Basically like Super Meat Boy but for skateboarding. Great fun.

I have always LOVED skateboarding games. I never really got tha hang of it IRL, but I loved playing "Tony Hawk Proskater" on the N64 and mastering the crazy tricks. This is 10x more difficult than THPS yet just as fun. It gives you the best feeling when you nail that crazy combo and SICK flashes on the screen. Great game! Best played with a controller :)

Kicks ♥♥♥, is a ton of fun and hard as nails. You'll need a controller and good nerves. It's a mix between endless runners like CANABALT, Super Meat boy and the Tony Hawk franchise. The look is a bit uninspired, with very basic visuals but everything is in some way neatly color-coded so you'll know where to grind and where to jump. The soundtrack ranges between smooth bar jazz and dubstep with drops as big as the one in level 5-5.
The 10,99€ Price tag seems steep and could be under 10, but i can't complain. i played more then 13 hours and come back now and then for more, just because it's a fun, easy and fast way to kill time and to pull of some cool looking combos.
Get it! if not now, then on sale.

I'm enjoying this a lot. There was a lot of Tony Hawk Pro Skater muscle memory to unlearn though. You basically do everything with the left analog stick and use the A button on the xbox controller to push/land.

I did have some trouble landing perfect grinds. I'm not sure if it's possible to land a grind too late, that might be the cause of it. EDIT: I was using a wireless controller which was the cause for that.

I can pull off perfect grinds pretty consistently now. The weird thing is that you can get perfect grinds by grinding at the last possible moment but that doesn't seem to be the case for landing on the ground, I have to press a bit earlier for that.

I just got this game in a Humble bundle.

Its been on my radar since it came out but today when i saw it in the bundle i picked it up. And its amazing, easily worth the full price they ask.

Super fun, reminds me of ld nitendo style gameplay from years ago.

Simple game, lots of replay value to 100% the game.

aving lots of fun with this one :)

Skate 2 demake. That's really all that can be said about this. It's literally Skate's trademark trick engine in low-fidelity 2D.

A skateboarder version of Bit.Trip Runner without the fancy soundtrack to help guide timing. Or hurt timing depending on your rhythmic capabilities.

Smooth mechanics, daily challenges, and slick visual design keep this grinding arcade jumper a go-to in my library.

Very shallow gameplay. Makes me even more wish for EAs Skate to finally be ported to PC.
The controls are aweful and I just cant get used to them, I always feel like not in control of the character.
This is a runner type of game, which is ok. But there are plenty other ones for free on various flash sites.
But the controls dont feel as stiff as here. I also hate the idea that you have to go crazy with combos just to get points....its not a skateboard game, its just some arcade game that could have had every style there is: a snowboard, rollerblades, hell even a lawnmower for I care.
At 10€ I think its an outrageous price tagg for something so simple and weak.

It's a glorified flash game. There is no customization for either the player or the skateboard, can't do more than flips and grinds, it's hard to distinguish between obstacles and background items, moves (especially grinding) tend to not register correctly and it uses an unoptimized engine that makes the game run badly and crash often.

The overall design makes it obvious how it started as a simple mobile game, so one can only hope the sequel changes that.

After many days of playing I have seen most of what the game gives and one of the things it gives is a very broken register system.

Now im not bad at this game don't get me wrong, I can get a perfect almost every time, unless, heres the thing, unless the game blocks the input, the amount of times I have either hit that Land button or held down the analog to grind and have it just pass right threw is obsurd. I noticed this seems to happon alot after spinning and I know it is not because I hit the rail or ground while spinning since it will register it as a Sloppy land and not me falling over. It seems after spinning there is a a bit less then a Second past the animation where it will block your inputs (because you cant grind or land while spinning which is logical) even though the animation had ended and the spin was finnished.

Though this is not the only bug in the game either, sometimes when attempting a Perfect rail land which most of the time is easy, it will place you under the rail and grind on nothing, once the grind ends though you are launched off the board and forced to restart the level.

Another glitch also happond on one of the daily challenges, landing on a box caused the player to land under them and be stuck forever, the game slowly dropped to around 5 frames per-second and I had to forcefuly shut the game down before it caused problems to my pc.

Also, not a bug but a silly thing in the game, there is no score number while in the combos so I can't learn what tricks are best and what gets more score, I just have to guess, which is very game-breaking for a competative score based game.

I simpaly can not recommend a game with so many very game-breaking bugs left in it, even in one of the games main machanics (the spinning), this bug alone should be quickly fixed.

Can't recommend this game because of how ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the controlled are.

Down arrow to land, and WASD to do random tricks. Jump? does it automatic then a trick is activated. Which feels weird

If I could rebind the keyboard controls, then maybe I could get it too work, but no, of course the game don't support that.

No idea why the ported PS1 version of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 had rebindable keys on PC, but this simple 2D game don't.

Sad that the game is so poorly put together, because the game rally looked fun.

Do you like games that are a million times more frustrating then fun? Then you'll love this game. If you don't have a controller (like me), this game is basically hell.
