  • New Missions: New missions will be added to the world map through development and will extend to new environments and locales.
  • Tweaks and Polish: Broforce is pretty rocking now but Free Lives will be iterating, tweaking, and polishing to see what works and what needs more time in the oven. Feedback welcome, bros!

THIS is an ALPHA game??? This acts and runs like a completed game WITH DLC. This is basically Super Meat Boy with all your favorite 80/90s action heroes with guns and special effects 'liberating' Vietnam (corrected). You need to play this if you haven't yet. Nothing to take seriously in this game, it's all tongue in cheek throwback to the 80s/90s. Best Alpha I've played in YEARS besides Rust!

Broforce was a game which I had watched people play on YouTube and thought it was just another fancy platformer shooter game with the added twist of action adventure movie heroes. While the game is exactly all of those things, it also has many other redeeming points.

The gameplay is overwhelmingly simple. There is nothing wrong with an easy game to play. I for one enjoy games where you can pick it up and play no matter what mood you are in. The fast paced action makes for a brilliant casual game to play when you have a few minutes to kill.

Storywise, there is none. From what I gather anyway. It's just a matter of shooting through hoards and hoards of bad guys and saving your chums who have been kept prisoner. The reward system is based on how many prisoners you actually rescure, and the rewards you get equate into new playable characters, or "Bros". You start off with being able to play Rambo and you work your way through to the likes of Conan the Barbarian, or Broman the Brobarian....

Completing the main game is very short, I managed to do it in roughly two hours of picking up and playing every now and again. There are still plenty of other game modes such as Arcade, coop, (online and local) as well as a level editor which will add hours of endless mindnumbing badguy killing frenzies.

I would highly recommend this game for anyone who enjoys a shooting or action game. You cannot go wrong, and the devs are bound to add more features and levels in the future.

Simple, goofy, 80's movie fun. Yes, it's unfinished right now, which means the story just stort of...ends. I still enjoy running around with the levels and Bros that are available right now. Well, with the exception of the two Khazakstan bosses, but like I said, it's still in production, things can change.

It's not that complex, but not every game needs to be, and I'm looking forward to seeing what the final product will look like.

A bombastic multi-player shooter that evokes the golden age of the arcades.

Broforce features simplistic 2D graphics and is a cooperative multi-player side scrolling shooter/ platformer - it could easily have been a late 80's arcade game - one of the deluxe cabinets with 4 sets of controls - the kind of Gauntlet-style set up that had coin money written all over it. Get some friends and a steady supply of coins and you'd get multi-player gaming action unparalleled at the time.

Given that this is 2014, that Broforce could be perceived as a 1980's game could be considered as a knock, but Broforce so boldly embraces the old school, so lovingly evokes the spirit of 80's and 90's action games and movies, that it feels brilliantly refreshing.

Everything is pared down to focus on out and out, balls to the wall action. With little in the way of presentation or story you begin the game as a randomly selected Bro, an often charming parody of a popular 80's/90's action hero with parodies of Robocop, Rambo,Terminator and Ellen Ripley included to name just a few, each with a custom weapon load out and a distinct play style.

The aim of the game is to battle your way through the end of each tightly constructed and enemy laden level, take out the oddly weak and passive demon suited guys that wait at the end and leap onto a helicopter ladder to escape to glory. On the way you'll find other captured Bros in cages; free them and you take on their persona, your prior Bro being saved as a 'life', a well implemented system that ensures you're encouraged to try all the different gameplay styles each Bro offers, rather than just sticking with a well-worn favourite.

The side scrolling 2D gameplay is beautifully measured, with each tiny but perfectly formed Bro sprite capable of running and jumping with a Super Mario Bros like precision, whilst wielding an awesome array of weapons with slick gun play akin to Metal Slug, Contra, and Gunstar Heroes.

Broforce is already a potent mix with those attributes but it ramps up the ante by having almost fully destructible environments with some of the best explosions seen in any game, or in any medium for that matter. They've fully captured the excessively destructive spirit from their beloved influences. Many of Broforce's explosions are simply put, epic.

One hastily thrown grenade could just as likely lead to a chain reaction and blow yourself up as it could take out an enemy, so this explosive element quickly becomes integral to the gameplay, leading to some surprisingly tactical play options depending on what Bro you may be playing at that time.

The armed enemy forces are simple but varied fodder, that can regardless still handily punish any careless Bro, with a selection of well realised and balanced bosses featured at the end of selected levels. The varying play styles of each Bro offer different ways to tackle each enemy - one Bro might simply blow up the platform the enemy stands on - one might jump and shoot from long range - one might attack from close range with melee - there really are a lot of ways to approach each scenario.

But the true mayhem ensues when playing the drop-in, drop-out online multiplayer. Up to 4 players can co-op and it is in this mode that some of the best fun is to be had. Much of the time you'll be unwittingly exploding the hell out of one another, as screen filling explosions erupt and Bros fall to their doom, often with hilarious (or infuriating) results.

Though it's just as likely to get a cohesive team and it soon becomes evident what a great co-op game this can be, each Bro can complement the other, and with 4 at once from a huge range of Bros, it's rare you'll encounter the same combo twice offering a great deal of variety.

Still an early access game, Broforce offers many other modes at varying stages of completion and even offers a custom level design utility, with hundreds of custom maps ready to play and many more appearing on the horizon.

Even at this early stage, Broforce offers a lot for the asking price and is definitely one of the most promising early access games yet released.

Unfinished it may be but it offers almost instant gameplay gratification - no fuss, no filler, just good old school explosive arcade action.

The game is great, I recommend
but I found a bug, and I called:
From Piggy bug / Bug The Piggy

The 5 steps to make this bug are:

1: Find a Pig;
2: Kill that Pig;
3: Climb the body of the Pig;
4: Use the knife on the Pig (While upon him);
5: Repeat step 4 until the end of the phase.

And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.

From the lakes of Minnesota,
to the hills of Tennessee.
Across the plains of Texas,
From sea to shining sea.

From Detroit down to Houston,
and New York to L.A.
Well there's pride in every American heart,
and its time we stand and say.

That I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land,

THE MOST PATRIOTIC GAME YOU CAN EVER BUY
RECALLS THEMES OF TEAM AMERICA: GLOBAL POLICE
DEFEAT TERRORISTS WITH THE FORCE OF RAMBO, WILL SMITH, AND THAT CHICK WITH A GRENADE-LAUNCHER LEG
17/76 WOULD BUY. AND LOWER NUMBERS ARE MORE AMERICAN IN THIS CASE.

Seriously, though. This game is honestly a great game. It's simple, really: run through a fully-destructible map and slice, shoot, explode, and basically annihilate little men with masks. Even after they're dead, you can chop them up into little pieces. This game pays close, close attention to detail, like attack dogs running up and feasting on any corpse they see, or how the avatar in the corner is animated according to what your character is doing at the time.

However, it's not too long at this point: I've gotten a little more than two hours on here. Only reason why I don't have more is because I've played it offline too, so we gotta keep that in mind. My estimate is about 3-5. No idea. But honestly, give this game a go. It deserves to be fueled with Hamiltons.

TL;DR This is a great, pixel-violent, fully-destructible, American side-scrolling game that pays close attention to detail.

A true masterpeice!!
This game has got no story what-so-ever but it still manages to keep you hooked (take that stupid RPGs).It takes you to the 1980s arcrade gaming era when we used to have those stand alone systems to play those awesome retro games.
Broforce kinda reminds me of cammando(YES THAT AMAZING SUN OF A GUN GAME!!!). broforce is just plain awesome, but be warned this game is not for the faint hearted with every thing around you blowing up BOOM BAAM BANG!! its not easy to keep your calm.
Yes,u can litrally blow almost everything up in this game which is 1 word aweeesommmeee!!!! (in an extreamly high pitch). This game allows you to play as the most famous fictional charecters of all time such as :-
•) ramBRO (rambo)
•) BRObocop (robocop)
•) Mr AnderBRO (neo)
•) BROminator (terminator)
•) indiana BROnes( indiana jones)
pretty catchy right!

when an average person buys a game he definatly looks at the replay value of the game and this game has an amazing replay value i have persnally played this game over and over again and am still not bored of it.
Broforce has got some really good game elements and which combined with the retro feel my oh my it is a killer. This game is the most playable game of the decade HANDS DOWN!!!
and the best part this game is still in beta (as of nov 11 2014) so there is a great possiblity that this game gets even more awesome.
THE FINAL WORDS :- Broforce is an amazing game with a suprisingly high replay value hence the best 15$ iv ever spent and possibly ever will.
I GIVE THIS GAME A 4.8 / 5
THIS NOW IS JUST A FORMALITY, YES I DO RECOMMEND THIS GAME TO EVERYONE OUT THERE!!!

I played Broforce for 5 hours one day whilst listening to the US National Anthem on loop. Now every time I walk outside I'm swarmed by bald eagles with meat chunks of America's enemies on their talons, I ♥♥♥♥ and the Star Spangled Banner clearly reflects itself waving in the wind on the water surface, and for some damn reason I can't stop clapping after stopping in a vehicle.
Freedom/10 would clap for again.
