BROFORCE FLEXES FREEDOM MUSCLES FOR JULY 4TH!

BROFORCE FLEXES FREEDOM MUSCLES FOR JULY 4TH!

As Americans all around the world celebrate their freedom, we have dropped the mother of all Broforce updates in celebration of the Fourth of July. The latest update introduces two new ultra patriotic bros, new democracy-spreading melee attacks, and the ultimate expression of the United State’s military might – combat flexing!

https://youtu.be/xR9k7KsbMIc

PSSSSST: Check back again in a few days, there is going to be a second installment to this update with some new levels!

The Brocketeer
A jet-packed hero from the golden age of bros, with a devastating dive bomb move!

Broheart
The Scottish-American hero of legend whose "FREEDOMMMMM!" yell strikes fear into the heart of all that stand in his way!

Melee Attacks
Dispense liberty for all with a well placed roundhouse kick or organ punch and let freedom ring with the visually impressive and always lethal chainsaw to the face.

Combat Flexing
No assault on terror would be complete without an impressive display of the bros' raw power, so we've introduced a new "flexing" feature. Now you and your bros can cease-fire, flex your biceps in the face of evil, and exercise your right to bear arms so thick your shirts tear in half.

The Expendabros - Free Download

The Expendabros have assembled and set their sights on the forces of ruthless arms dealer Conrad Stonebanks in the forests of Eastern Europe. Battle through ten full-throttle missions set amongst the picturesque tree tops and the absurdly dangerous lumber mills teeming with enemy soldiers, excessive artillery, and inconveniently placed circular saws. Rescue your brothers in arms and play as seven different legendary soldiers – each with their own unique weapons and special attacks – with up to four players at once in local multiplayer co-op mode.

The following features and content are planned in future updates via Early Access. Visit the Steam Community Hub, Broforce Forums, or follow Free Lives (@Free_Lives) on Twitter for news and requests for feedback on future updates.

  • New Bros: Broforce is always looking for a few good bros to join the team. Free Lives will create a plethora of new bros and are always interested in hearing your ideas of powerful heroes that can bare the burden of being a bro.
  • New Missions: New missions will be added to the world map through development and will extend to new environments and locales.
  • Tweaks and Polish: Broforce is pretty rocking now but Free Lives will be iterating, tweaking, and polishing to see what works and what needs more time in the oven. Feedback welcome, bros!
  • Explosions 3.0: What is Broforce without better explosions? Ongoing revisions and additions to the explosions are tantamount to fulfilling Broforce's destiny.

A joyous sandbox of violence that seems to consist entirely of "ha ha did you SEE that?" moments stitched end-to-end. I could enumerate a whole list of ridiculous ways you can combine environmental destruction, your Bros' distinctive movesets, and enemies' incredible stupidity, but it's possible to sum up the game like this: you can crush an enemy by pushing a giant propane tank onto him, ride the propane tank through a swarm of OTHER enemies, leap off just as it explodes -- you take no damage from exposions if you're leaping away from them, obviously -- and stab Satan to death before you land.

Broforce is simply a dream come true. It is a run and gun platformer that serves as a love letter to action movies. There is a large cast of action heroes from Robocop to Mad Max that all use a variety of moves to help spread freedom across the world. Whether you are going on a chainsaw massacre with Ash williams, yelling like Arnie while creating a swordquake slam as Conan, sending bullets back at enemies as Neo, or pitying the fool as Mr. T, Broforce makes you feel cooler than you actually are.

Destructible environments and force switching characters keeps the experience chaotic, fun, and full of risk-reward situations. Gaining an extra life means that you have to give up playing as Blade and will have to adapt to whatever random bro you turn into next. It would be really easy to just use Macgyver to blow up all these enemies, but doing that would make the next jump up a lot harder. Shooting these explosive barrels will make short work of enemies and open up a new path, but it could also send down deadly debris.

The main campaign has you steering a helicopter around different parts of the world to help spread freedom through a 12 gauge and explosions. The enemies are satisfying fodder, and there are some nice surprises in the form of mechs, bossfights and aliens, with more still to come. Aside from campaign there is an arcade mode that has you running and gunning with no helicopter navigation in between. There are some very early alpha versions of different race like modes that are fun, but not quite up to par with other Bro modes.

On the local co-op front, deathmatch is a clear winner. My family and friends all have fun jumping in playing with all of these outrageous action heroes. It's an experience that reminds me of Smash Bros, but with more Bro and gore.

Even though this title is Early Access it has like nothing less than non-stop fun, great polish, and awesome updates since my preorder.

Walking away from explosions, highfiving bros for slow motion, throwing satan off a cliff, disembowling enemies, shouting freedom so loud that it terrifies enemies, and so much more, can all be found in bounty in Broforce.

My brother and I broke into a NASA engineering research lab just to play it on their big projector. Five men died trying to stop us.
But darned if it wasn't worth it.

I wasn't ready for this game!

I bought it at Steam Summer Sale, thinking it would be a cheap and fun game. Little did I know. I installed the game and immediately sank to my knees and wept tears of pure joy, and by "tears" I mean "Jack Daniel's". I pressed play and my max bench press increased by a 100lbs. I wiped the whiskey from my face, looked in the mirror, and in my reflection I saw him behind me.

George Washingbro! Looking stern and powerful. He nodded once, an affirmation. I knew what I had to do.

I flung myself from the bathroom window and this game literally turned me into a bald eagle, I flew over Iraq and pooped tomahawk missiles on ISIS positions, then I flew back home and turned into a 1967 Pontiac GTO and drove all night until I arrived at P**sytown. Population: Me.
