I booted the game up and was instantly swarmed by hot women, beer, and explosions. As I looked out my window, a Bald Eagle flew buy and grew a beefy arm with tats just to give me a hearty thumbs up. And as I cried a red, white, and blue stained tear of freedom, a dubstep version of the star spangled banner blasted through my house as George Mother ♥♥♥♥ing Washington did a sick kickflip on his skateboard/ monster truck/ shark and handed me a small flag and a spoonful of frozen yogurt with chocolate pieces in the shape of the declaration of independence.

10/10, would Merica again.

Broforce is a 2d platformer shooter developed by free lives and published by devolver digital

The Gameplay
In BROFORCE you have to get to end end of the level to get either to satan to kill him or kill the boss.
To do this you have a lot of characters with all unique special abilities but there's one thing you die in one with ( well one character not).
You also have destruction which can be very helpful to skip enemies, And you have explosives which can sometimes be really dangerous to you.
Every bro feels different since they have a different style of gun and their ability.
You unlock bros by freeing em and you'll also get lives this way.
Like terminator can be invincible for a few secs if you use his super, with indiana jones you shoot etc etc.
Theres a lot of content the game already feels complete though its kinda lacking levels but there's a workshop to fix that.
There's a bit of enemy variety the bad guys just have they're soldiers they're suiciders and they're are tanky machine gun guys.
The bosses feel really creative like there one which you have to drop off the level to beat him,
which can be annoying.
I have one complaint however, You need to complete one set of stages in one go, So youll have to replay the other 2 levels if you crash at the third.
The game runs really well 60fps 100% of the time and the game controls are solid.
And there co-op which is is local and online but i dont know how good the netcode is.

Difficulty
The game can be difficult at first because you have to get used to the 1 hit and you die mechanic.
Some enemy types can be annoying at moments and you'll most likely die if you get overwhelmed.
The bosses can be real difficult also but when you figured out how to kill em youll most like will not fail.

Replayability
The game will take a few hours to complete after that i don't think you can replay but only if you reset or do the arcade version of campaign(which has no difference however).
The game has a workshop with some good levels haven't used it that much.
You have no achievements or stuff like that.

Audio
Overall the game sounds are good not much to say about em
The games soundtrack sounds actiony and baddass.

Story
Youre murica you need to kill terrorist or whatever they are, at the end of the level you find Satan kill him and you fly away as the level explodes, Oh and there are aliens at some point for reasons.
The game is filled with references like Terminator Robocop and the Matrix and more.

Graphics
I really love pixel art and i love it more when it's done well and in broforce it is done well.
The characters are well designed and look like the movie characters.
There's nothing really out of place the bosses look unique.

Bugs crashes etc
I've run into no crashes or bugs overall the game doesnt feel and play and look like it's in early access, but experience can differentiate.

Final verdict
A explosive fun game with lots of movie references, Cool boss design, Good pixel art, Destruction, Maybe lacking a bit on the levels side of things, Good smooth controls and performance and co-op
A must buy if you like 2d platformers and challenging games.

This game is amazing.

I think it's the only game so far that made me go "F*ck yeah, I just chainsawed Satan!"

This is a contrast to SR:Gat out of Hell where my response was "Oh...I punched Satan...meh."
