About This Content

Whistleblower will let you play as Waylon Park, a software engineer under contract with Murkoff and the man who emailed journalists around the world - including Miles - at the beginning of Outlast. Spending a couple of weeks at Mount Massive, during which he was unable to even talk to his wife and son thanks to strict security protocols, Waylon developed a deep-seated distrust of the profit-motivated scientists and doctors leading dangerous and irresponsible experiments on their patients. Identifying with those poor souls fueled Waylon's anger, and set the stage for his unmasking of Mount Massive's rotten core.

Although Whistleblower tells the story that led to Outlast, it will actually stretch past the events of the first game to show the final chapter in Mount Massive Asylum's story.

Outlast's first DLC pack, Whistleblower was released in mid 2014, and is a prequel to the original Outlast game, but is really to be played after your first run through the game.

The game uses all of the gameplay elements of the original game, with no new features or techniques to learn, but this isn't a bad thing, since the gameplay of the original was absolutely stellar.

If anything I found Whistleblower to be a lot scarier than the first, the scenes are a lot more graphic and the story crept me out more too. Some of the scenes actually made me wince because of how gruesome they are. This is definitely an 18+ game.

The story is really good too, it follows a software engineer named Waylon Park, and you guessed it, you are a whistle-blower on the whole operation. It follows the journey of trying to escape to let the world know what has been going on in the Murkoff Corporation.

This DLC takes about 2 and a half hours to complete, there are the odd collectible documents to find throughout the game too, but there are no real reasons to play it again once you have finished it.

It's a bit of a shame that this wasn't sold as a standalone to the original Outlast, as it would be a good game to test the waters with, to see whether you'd like a longer, more in-depth version in the first game.

We're playing as a bride, who had been chased by the groom, the man that singing his love song to show us how much he wants a bride for his own: "When I was a boy my mother often said to me: "Get married, son, and see how happy you will be." I have looked all over, but no girlie can I find, who seems to be just like the little girl I have in mind; I will have to look around until the right one I have found"

This is more twisted and sick then the game itself, i flinched and cringed, It was way more scary and is a need to buy DLC. However, sadly its short and is about 2 hours long, unlike outlast it self.
