Buy RPG Maker: Tyler Warren First 50 Battler Pack

About This Content

Bring back the whimsical and colorful characters of the classic RPG by Tyler Warren.

True to the spirit of the whimsical characters of the early console RPG, this pack of 50 battlers by artist Tyler Warren brings to life a fresh set of options for the professional and amateur game creator.

Carefully crafted in a style comparable to the immensely popular Dragon Quest (Dragon Warrior) series, this bundle features monsters ranging from cute to colossal. Trolls, bugs, slimes, elementals, beasts, animals, flyers, and many other types of imaginative fantasy creatures come alive in this first set of 50.

This pack contains:
  • 50 unique battlers
  • Files are formatted for easy Plug and Play into RPG Maker VX Ace and other RPG Maker battle systems
  • No need for editing; each battler is compatible with default battle backs or other backgrounds
  • All 50 battlers are presented in sizes ranging from large to mini; let the slime be the boss with no scaling issues
  • Battlers also come in recommended sizes (to scale), with a sampling of alternate color options
  • Style similar in spirit to the classic whimsical RPG characters of Dragon Quest (Dragon Warrior)

If you like games that have a lighter take on monsters, such as the Dragon Quest series, these battlers cartoonish appearance will fill the bill nicely. With all three packs, you can get a wide variety of opponents for any possible environment.

If you like the look of these battlers, they're highly recommended.

I recommend this because I have used it and found it situationaly appealing.

-This pack in particulaur has a very solid earth and aquatic theem, with a small "dark" sub-set. It would be quite good in an underground cavern setting (earth-themed monsters and some dark critters with some underground lakes.)

-Some of the 50 monsters are (as you can see in the first screenshot) repositioned variants. This is convinient artisticaly when trying to make a troop look good but means that you are not getting 50 unique monsters per se. (there are about 11 repositioned variants.)

-I prefer event-driven battles to random encounters and should have considered that when buying it. Any character sprites or faces for these battlers would have to be made custom by the buyer. I would like to stress that this is not a fault on the part of the artist providing this pack, and I was not expecting character sprites or faces to be provided.

(note: 0 hours on record is deceptive. Hours are not recorded on this as it is a DLC and not a program or even a patch for a program. It's artwork.)

A bit more on the comic side, but does the job of adding more things to kill.

This one has nice monsters too, but, as I said in the other DLC, the art is different, so if you'd like to keep the same art in thr whole game, this one isn't for you.
