Had I written this before CMS 2015 appeared, I'd have recommended this because whilst it has some flaws, there's definately an engaging idea here.

Problem is, CMS 2015 smooths out of lot of the rough edges this game has - which are

Having to lift/drop the car a lot due to (rather unrealistic) restricted access/crappy ramps
Having to guess what's needed/what should be replaced for some jobs
Having to walk to a PC and navigate a LONG list of parts to order replacements (2015 adds a mobile tablet and SEARCH!)
An really annoying bug whereby the mouse isn't locked to the game in multi-monitor mode - which causes the game to minimize CONSTANTLY (the developer's solution of 'Clip Cursor' DOES NOT WORK

So what I recommend is if you're interested in the idea, 2015 is worth the extra to reduce the frustration!!

- Laggy input.
- Floaty camera.
- No FOV (Field of View) setting
- No way to go back to the options menu after starting the game.
- No way to fine-tune video settings (e.g. I want high-quality textures and anisotropic filtering; and low-quality other stuff).
- No borderless-windowed mode.
- No way to filter/search in the in-game simulated web browser.
- No shortcuts to in-game actions: assemble, disassemble, examine conditions, show conditions.
- Inconsistent input: going back sometimes requires right-clicking, other times requires pressing Esc.
- During test-drive, it looks like the white light for the reverse gear does not work. I even thought I was a defect with the car, but I don't think I can replace them.

Laggy input, low framerate, floaty camera that keeps moving too much... All these contribute to make me feel dizzy in the first few minutes of the game.

I cannot recommend a game like this.

I love how I learned a lot about car parts and what it is that they do. For me, it's fun trying to figure out the problem. It affirms me that life is a set of puzzles that await to be solved. Every day is a new car to discover.

I imagine that after I fix cars here, I then go off to drive in my favorite wheels in the world of Gran Turismo.

Game is very repetitive. You do the same thing to basically every car. Run dionostic, un-screw the part, replace/repair, put part back in. Can't use money earned for anything other than buying more parts. No rewards for finishing jobs quickly. Game could be so much more than what it is.

I was really expecting more from this game, arguably too much, perhaps, but still. There are multiple elements of the game which while they exist, seem to serve no other purpose other than a tick box to check. In particular I'm referring to the Test Drive and/or Diagnosis Path, which no matter the problem with the car, is just a short series of actions to do before returning to the workshop essentially none the wiser of the problem as it plays out the same every single time.

This, however, doesn't even present a problem as once you've had 5 minutes of gameplay, you quickly see that the whole repair is simply a case of looking for the grubby/rusty looking part, removing it and replacing it. You barely need to look at the description at all.

As others have also said, the gameplay is just simply not deep enough to be challenging or rewarding in any way. Just plays out as a time sink with little to no pay off.

Thankfully I picked this up for very cheap in a sale, but definitely not worth full price and wouldn't consider it a "sim" at all.
