Informazioni sul gioco

The Graveyard is a very short computer game. You play an old lady who visits a graveyard. You walk around, sit on a bench and listen to a song. It's more like an explorable painting than an actual game. An experiment with poetry and storytelling but without words.

Buying the full version of The Graveyard adds only one feature, the possibility of death. The full version of the game is exactly the same as the trial, except, every time you play she may die.

Most of the positive reviews are jokes reviews, skewing the overall rating for this game. It takes literally 5 minutes. You walk down a path (no diverting, you'll just go off the screen and have to restart the game), sit on a bench, DIE, then listen to a song about other people dying. That's all. End.

A waste of time. I cannot see why this was allowed to be sold. You are limited to just the main path. If they are going for a walking simulator, at least let you explore the rest of the graveyard.

Without a doubt, The Graveyard is the most important indie game of all time.

When thinking about film, which movies come to one's mind? Maybe some newer films like Deadpool, Zoolander 2, and Finding Dory? Or possibly some classic slashers like Scream, Halloween, or Nightmare on Elm Street. Everyone has a distinct taste, or lack thereof, so the movies that spring to one's mind are likely to be different than another's. But something that these movies share in common is that they all have the components and characteristics that make it obvious that what you are watching is a film. A movie. A motion picture.

The film industry has been around for quite a long time. And after a certain amount of age, it starts to get a little old. And guess what happens when it gets old? It gets boring and people begin to push the limits of what can be actually be considered a movie. Some choose to push the limits so far that they produce controversy and cause film avids to change their perception on their preferred media.

Unlike movies, video games have only been around for about 50 years (give or take); and unfortunately, the medium hasn't really had that much time to evolve. Although we don't realize it now, gaming is really still in a primitive state. The Graveyard was the game that decided to do the things that people in other mediums have been doing for decades - do something abstract. The Graveyard was really the first game to try to be more of an idea than a game. It is amazingly influential and criminally underrated, although I think that will change in decades to come. I hope to see a day when artsy games are more common as they are in music and film.

Abstract games have been improved in the years to come, yet The Graveyard's message still stands unforgettable. It's worth playing not only for its powerful innovation in gaming, but maybe it'll make you feel a little something too. The abstract game formula - or lack thereof - has been perfected in a way that is slightly less ambiguous, but really that's all thanks to this game's bold and daring gameplay - as silly as that may sound for a game where you walk to a bench and sit.

8/10 - Excellent

Tale of Tales never made commercially successful or critically acclaimed games. It never even made very good games.
It just made games that changed the way other game developers saw and made their games.
This is where it started, folks. This is where the village sequence from Uncharted 2 comes from. This is where walking simulators were born.
You don't really need to play Tale of Tale's games, since the other game devlopers inspired by their work made much better. But if you review or make games professionally -- this is a place you really need to visit and pay respects. You won't even need to press X for that.

Another 'art' game. Short, largely pointless and definitely not worth anywhere near 4.99.

An old lady visits a graveyard and sits on a bench.
A non-ironic 10/10. This game absolutely nails what it tries to do.

I've loved "The Path", but this... it's a music video with NO part of esploration whatsoever.
I wanted to love this game, but I can not, really.

Watch the video on YT, it's only 10 minutes.

Worth it, but only like a VIDEO.

Come prodotto è, mutatis mutandis, in qualche modo simile a Plug & Play.

Pro bro gaymen tip: if you stay more than 60 minutes in the same spot a hellish Rick Astley and Pelvis Presley will emerge from a grave while a cybernetic Robo-Adolf Hitler will teleport by your side pulling you into a time-traveling dumpster that will take you to the year of 3651 where you will defend earth and fight hoards of diaper wearing devil babies. THERE is where the real game begins. Its trouble in diaper town, and this time grandma is taking no prisoners.

These guys are seriously charging $5 for this garbage? When you look at this store page, you're not watching a trailer. That's a full walkthrough, because that's literally all you can do. You walk in a straight line, sit on a bench, listen to a song with subtitles on, and walk the f**k out. Game over.

Yet despite how small this game is (at 47 Mb), they still couldn't even make it run properly. It skip and jitters almost constantly, and it's not just me. You can even see it in their "trailer". Not to mention the fact that when I played it, the old woman's animations glitched and I was unable to get up from the bench (or so I thought. Turns out that spending $5 let's the old lady kick the bucket while sitting on the bench). How f*****g incompetent do you have to be to make a game (and I'm being generous by calling it that) that's only 5 f*****g minutes long and still have it run like garbage and experience glitches? I saw the flat 2d tree decals disappear in fron of my eyes multiple times, and the shadows appear to be doing something which can only be described as "sh*****g themselves".

I'm so happy that this was gifted to me as a joke because if I had paid even a penny for this pretentious mound of dog s**t, I probably would have shot somebody. I can understand attempting to make an artistic statement with a game but there's nothing here to begin with. The only emotion this envoked was confusion. And not at anything that I played, I was just confused as to how the hell this got released.

I never thought that I would look at a game and genuinely regret wasting time on it, but congratulations "Tale of Tales", you did it.
