About This Game

XAM is a free-to-play online arena where players fight in short, intensive real-time fights. The player has to take over the control of one of мех agents with its unique weapon and abilities.

Easy to begin, hard to master – ХАМ is the online entertaining game both for casual and hardcore gamers.
In this game only your personal skills and team spirit matter for your victory, and no random events will steal your victory!

Lots of mechagents synergize in different ways, different cards and game modes require various tactics, and good team work is essential for victory.

  • XAM – is the real-time multi-player online 3D action arena.
  • Short-time PvP fights guarantee you will not get stuck in a boring game!
  • There are only you and your opponents skirmishing. You don’t have to farm for ages or donate much to be competitive.
  • Select your character from a wide array of mechagents and start playing! Any agent gives you a unique play experience!
  • Sci-fi setting with its own heroes and history makes the XAM’s world absolutely real!
  • Two languages available for you: Russian and English.

  • 3D panoramic views
  • Basic mode - Team Death Match (TDM) is a real-time fight of two teams, 3 players in each team.
  • An Internet connection is required.
  • A player is free to select any character: tank, support or fighter.
  • Each hero has a unique gameplay and six abilities (including ultimate skill).

  • The majority of skills include mechanics of a shot and a bullet’s flight time. Shots could be and should be dodged, so the result of each ability depends on individual skill.
  • WASD movement, ground-targeted abilities.
  • It’s a team game with your friends or random players.
  • Implants system allows fine-tuning of mechagents.

There are three hero classes: Tank, Fighter and Support.

All three classes have standardized abilities:
  • A1-autoattack (M1),
  • A2-alternative action (M2),
  • A3- an ability to move (SP),
  • A4 – АОЕ/multiple-target attack (Q),
  • А5- protective ability (E),
  • А6-ultimative ability (R).

A1 ability could be a melee attack or ranged shot independently of a class.
But as you know every rule has its own exceptions ;)

The classes differ very much from each other by health points, movement speed, effects of abilities, etc. Each hero has their own unique and diverse gameplay, so that a player is a free to choose what they like.

Galactic Federation’s development and XAM show origin

For about three hundred years mankind made a huge breakthrough. From a planet torn apart by national wars dipped in an economic and energy crisis it evolved to the Galactic Federation integrating a lot of planets and star systems in common strive for better life.

Science fast- growing development allowed people to forget about carbon wars having presented people an inexhaustible power source instead. Development of robots technology relieved people from regular physical work because on the majority of factories and plants people were replaced by robots. People hold the administrative positions and devote themselves to creativity and scientific researches.

Uniting of a mankind happened at an economical level. In three hundred years a market has been divided between several corporations., these corporations organically divide The Galaxy into zones of influence and at the same time integrate it together. the distance between its parts has been longer, and moreover for the last hundred years the quantity of populated planets sharply increased from four up to several tens. At this time the mass media has been developing fast. People have been separated from each other by many hundreds light years and therfore they are in great need in communication with each other. Now this function is operated by thousands newsfeeds gathering the information from all corners of the Universe and creating unified information field. Each corporation owns the powerful media machine of hundreds and thousands news agencies, video channels and publishing houses. Nevertheless, the distance still separates people and it causes some problems.
With time the corporations understand that they need to develop common media product to reach all people and unite them in the result. They employ group of producers to find the right idea for their global project.

Shortly before the show was started the Galaxy had been struck with a terrible event, and it was a lesson to all Galaxy’s mankind. Two corporations completely destroyed a planet that they wanted to take over soon. That time everyone knew about this war and saw the consequences of it. People followed headline news and many eyewitnesses’ video blogs that became very popular at that time. That fact pushed the producers to create something new from the past, so they took the idea which is based on former military operations. In several years after the end of this war there was a movie telling story of the fighter of underground robot fights. The mankind found out that the military developed remotely controlled fighting vehicles long time ago. Moreover, there are underground communities organizing robots’ fights on deserted military bases. the producers quickly picked up this idea and started to develop their project. So XAM show was produced, and Xenon planet was chosen as a main fighting arena.

The organization of the show

The show takes place on a recently discovered planet. Show’s content are real fights between robots that are remotely controlled by players. Audience stakes on and supports their favorites, and participants of the show fight for ratings and sympathies of audience. A participant cannot get its own robot; instead they can obtain the license for usage one of the models in fight. The robots are set up directly on a planet therefore the details can be easily and quickly replaced any time even if a robot has been severely damaged. Thus, once having acquired the license for usage a certain model a player can't lose it.

Distinctive feature of the show is usage for robots well-known, recognizable prototypes, for example, celebrities, national heroes and even the criminals. This peculiarity attracts the wide audience including potential participants. There are thousands arenas have been constructed on the planet and the new ones are being built at this time.
Due to growth of popularity of the show and inflow of new players new scenery types are being continuously created, new places and plots of fights are constantly offered to players, opportunities also have been increased: you can fight against an animal living on the planet or brought from other planets. New types of robots are developed often in advertising purposes only. Who knows to what extend the imagination and fantasy of creators can lead!

In some places of Xenon there are several bases of corporations located. In huge hangars located generally underground are stored bio-robots. The endless ranks of them are extended on many kilometers. When a player selects one of fighters then it is immediately transferred on the surface to a certain fight place. Also in underground hangars strong predators are kept to fight show participants! Usually against the players the animals living on Xenon are pushed out to have a fight. But popularity of the show and idea to diversify it led to that the producers began to bring the animals from other planets, and sometimes even criminals sentenced for capital punishment.

Participation in show: what for?

The mankind has occupied some planets and widely extended on space. In such a crowd it is difficult to be become well- known. A lucky chance for many to become popular, get national love and currency was an involvement in TV shows.
People gather for XAM casting in huge queues – many of them want to get a chance to become famous and earn money!

The player starts fighting with a bio robot with minimum skills. Everyone is free to pay chip implantation independently and often people say no themselves in many things just to enter the game. Any organization can pay chip implantation for you, for example, it can be a security service or a community of scientists, businessmen who are interested to have an agent that can move to Xenon and start earning currency for them. Each participant of the show tries to win as much as possible so that the corporations choose him and raised his sale price. Also each participant tries to become one of the favorites of the show.

At the same time there are many fights and researches on the planet that are broadcasted on all Galaxy. But only the most spectacular fights, in which the most popular fighters participate, get on tops and are widely broadcasted.Certainly each player wants to become a popular and to be loved by everyone, so this fact pushes many of them to participate in game without any breaks ever!

Players are at a space station. For them special inhabited cabins are alloted. Players are on full support of organizers of the show. Each player can get certain services depending on his rating, achievements in game and the currency earned on the show. Thus, players compete not only for national appreciation, but also for material benefits they can achieve. However, many players are so keen on process that they refuse privileges and prefer to spend their bonuses for new implants and new biorobots.

  • PvE Co-op mode ( monsters, scenarios)
  • New PvP mods
  • Implant system
  • League system (ranked fights mode)
  • More heroes
  • More arenas
  • Achievements
  • AI bots, training and team modes

First things first, the game itself is really fun

If you were looking for a new game to scratch the itch Bloodline Champions gave you, you should play this. BLC is not going to be supported anymore, but this new game has a lot of potential in it. The gameplay itself is quite smooth for this early into it's testing phase. They seem to have a good understanding of what makes games fun, and this really seems like a game that some Bloodline fans would make to capture some of the awesomeness that had.

Since this game is in extremely early access, of course it's going to have it's problems. So let me get that out first, it has problems. It's missing some features at the moment. But it's a free game that takes about a half hour to download. Don't think we should lose any sleep over it. It works for me and other players fine after the recent patch though, and once you can get in the game it can be a lot of fun.

As I said it is inspired by Bloodline Champions, a very unique and great game that wasn't supported enough by the publisher and lost it's community and just had to be abandoned by the developers. Speaking of that, BLC and XAM are not to be compared to LoL or Dota 2. These kind of comparisons are part of what killed BLC.

This is a very different kind of game, so of course it's not gonna be like your favorite MOBA. I don't want to see a game that captures the essence of such a great game meet the same fate as it did. This is not a MOBA, it's a 3v3 PvP Arena. Leave your expectations at the door, and give it a real-time fighting chance. I know I'm going to, actually I'm gonna fire it up right now.

See you in game, hopefully!

A lot of people are complaining because this game is still in its very early stages of completion. Yeah, most of the buttons are unavailable on the home screen, but I can't imagine it's going to stay like that. I've played about 20 matches so far and I really enjoy the gameplay. I think it is fun and exciting. People go afk a lot, but that is true of most games anyway. If you want to play this game, expect to find some bugs along the way. You can get stuck in walls really easily using any kind of jump or roll ability. I was playing earlier and all of a sudden for no apparent reason I was like a mile above the map and I slowly descended back into the game. It was really awesome. Then I fell through the floor. Less awesome. I'm a fan of the game, and you should give it a try before listening to all the people complaining about the current incompletion and lack of polishing. ^^

This game has a lot of potential. It is in its early development since you can only match up 2v2 and 3v3 mode.
I can see it being a great competetive game in the future. Just needs a growing fan base now.
The game dosnt have a homing target system like most mobas do as you have to aim your projectiles
to hit your opponents. Dodge system is accurate and responsive. You can roll/dodge projectiles if timed right.

I hope to see this game grow!

Okay well after reading PedoBear's hilarious review I decided to give it a go..
Downloaded the game in less than a minute so not too worried if it is bad or not.

Get on, sort graphics out to max but realise resolution can't go up high at all, no worries it still looks nice I can still play it.
Everything looks decent, character models etc all looks quite nice, movement could feel smoother but it's fine.
My match was a 2v2 but really a 1v1 at first as my team mate and theirs didn't load in (nab let me down on my first game)
Anyway I find out what's what, keybinds are easy enough just a few keys for movement and abilities all is good so far,
I kick the sh*% out of the enemy 8 times somehow without death even though my health didn't regenerate, I'm either NBA allstar or just going up against a 4 year old.

Teammate loads in, although I want him gone since he's just awful, I could have cried at what he was doing..
Overall the game is decent, it's free so you can't complain. Try it out for yourself, give feedback. It was way too easy for me so I'm going to have to wait a while until I play again.
The game probably wouldn't keep me entertained for too long but it's only early access so we'll see what happens. 7/10 so far - go try it out.

Perfectly epitomizes why Steam needs better quality control on early access games: almost all of the game's features are unavailable and the coding is so poorly optimized as to give incredibly subpar FPS should you be unfortunate enough not to have a high-end computer. No tutorial, no way to learn about characters until far too late, horrible graphical errors in the UI, and this is just the first game I tried after I gave up on it earlier since I couldn't connect to the server. Just let the game die, these devs have no idea what they're doing.

You could make the respawn in the game a bit different, instead of just spawning like a "ghost".
Maybe you should make the game round based?

There also need to be a system to prevent players going AFK in-game.

So i installed this game and tried to play a game, it gave me this connection issue ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. So instead of unistalling i waited a few days so they could patch the game. And now i'm glad i did, i play dota 2 alot so i do like mobas. Unlike dota 2, XAM is a fast paced game where games take roughly 8 minutes. Overall the graphics are decent, gameplay is not that bad besides a few bugs.

7/10 Give it a shot, don't let the bugs ruin the game for you!

Hey all. My name in game is Purgatory. My goal is to create awareness of this game. This could be the next big E-sport. Albeit it's VERY early access, but this game needs to be shown some love. I plan on being a HUGE supporter of this game.

Friend me in game or message me. Name in game is Purgatory. I will be doingLive-Streams and Youtube videos showcasing the game and any and all who wish to participate in said livestreams or videos are more than welcome. I'm in the game righ tnow and will be for quite some time. Hit me up and let's get this ball rolling!

Information about the heroes is close to nothing.
Unable to connect to the game.

I really liked the game, but there are still a few issues to be noticed:
- Balancing. Set a cooldown on Zerotaurs right-mouse button, he is too overpowered.
- Do something against AFK-ers please, this is a big issue.
- Queue timers are way too long and a lot doesn't work yet (but this is obviously something that will dissappear).
But generally a good game with opportunities to have skill and to have positioning. Please keep up making the maps interesting with things like health relics and the energy boosts. Keep it up!

After two matches, I must say, the game has promise. However, in its current state, the game is hard to stick with. The UI if very much unfinished. The friends button doesnt work, many game modes have buttons but can't be selected. The tutorial is unavailable, etc., etc.

For a f2p game, I think the game will be well worth the price tag. The mechanics work well, it's kind of like Monday Night Combat and Diablo had a baby, but you use wasd to move instead of the mouse.

One thing that separates this from other MOBAs is that every ability, and your main attack (at least in this stage of the game's creation), is a skillshot... and every champion has the same "type" of abilities, but with the 8 champions available now, there is still a good amount of variation.

All in all, for my overall review, the game is great and I would suggest it to anyone who likes this kind of game. They may have a lot of updates ahead of them, but I have faith that the finished product will meet or exceed my expectations.
