First things first, the game itself is really fun
If you were looking for a new game to scratch the itch Bloodline Champions gave you, you should play this. BLC is not going to be supported anymore, but this new game has a lot of potential in it. The gameplay itself is quite smooth for this early into it's testing phase. They seem to have a good understanding of what makes games fun, and this really seems like a game that some Bloodline fans would make to capture some of the awesomeness that had.
Since this game is in extremely early access, of course
it's going to have it's problems. So let me get that out first, it has problems. It's missing some features at the moment. But it's a free game that takes about a half hour to download. Don't think we should lose any sleep over it. It works for me and other players fine after the recent patch though, and once you can get in the game it can be a lot of fun.
As I said it is inspired by Bloodline Champions, a very unique and great game that wasn't supported enough by the publisher and lost it's community and just had to be abandoned by the developers. Speaking of that, BLC and XAM are not to be compared to LoL or Dota 2. These kind of comparisons are part of what killed BLC.
This is a very different kind of game, so of course it's not gonna be like your favorite MOBA. I don't want to see a game that captures the essence of such a great game meet the same fate as it did. This is not a MOBA, it's a 3v3 PvP Arena. Leave your expectations at the door, and give it a real-time fighting chance. I know I'm going to, actually I'm gonna fire it up right now. See you in game, hopefully!
