About This Game

Thanks to Young Horses, Slick Ent Inc, and Team Meat for allowing us to do these amazing crossover exclusives for our Steam launch.

What is Bardbarian?
Bardbarian is a game! A game we've been lovingly working on for far too long and are ready to unleash on Steam with (hopefully) some love from the Greenlight Community.

What genre is the game?
It is a mixture of Tower Defense, RPG & RTS with some 'Shmup and Snake elements.

What's the Story?
You play as Brad the barbarian, who is awoken to the sounds of his town under siege. Today is different though; Brad has grown tired of fighting all the time. The usual grind for XP has grown dull, and he has decided to pursue his dreams of making music instead of shedding blood. Fashioning a lute out of an old axe, he steps out to save his town in the most bizarre of ways.

What's Gameplay like?
Move Brad around the battlefield and dodge incoming enemy attacks and projectiles. Brad is constantly playing his axe-lute and generating notes, standing still will cause him to "jam" and generate notes even faster. These notes act as your in-game resource; you can spend them to perform solos to summon units to follow and fight for you, as well as solos to boost their performance.

Navigate your party through the hordes of enemies, dodging and attacking, preventing them from destroying your town's prized decorative crystal. Survive waves to progress, collect loot, and unlock new units. Upon death you are able to visit the town shop in order to upgrade Brad, the town and your followers, in hopes to make it further next time.

It's a bard, it's a barbarian. No, it's Bardbarian! Castle defense never felt so...musical? There's actually a fair amount of fun gameplay running around and killing waves of monsters and bosses. Plus the decent amount of unit types makes for a lot of different play styles. Definitely worth whatever bargain price you pay for it.

A fun way to spend 15-30 minutes if you've got time to kill, reminiscent of the kinds of flash games some of us probably played in the computer lab back in school.

I wouldn't pay full price for it if I were you, but it's worth it during a sale.

This game is like a action rts.
Your main character does not attack but can summon or rally his troops.
He has a little racoon pet that can be upgraded to fetch things like gold or items from the town folk.
You pick 3 out of up to 15 classes to take into battle to summon them and help you fight.
Bard will slowly gain notes over time or they can be dropped from enemies.
These are used to call in a unit or to use 1 of the 3 buff that will increase your party's attack, defense, or speed.
The villagers and fort can also be upgraded so they give you items and add defenders to your fort.
In the main story you play through 4 sets of 5 levels with the 5th always being a boss (there is also a days 2).
In Survival enemies and friendly units will randomly spawn on the board and you try to see how long you can stay alive without any bard powers.
In escape mode you have no bard powers and try to see how far you can get wile avoiding poison pools, enemies, & there shots.

Overall its not a bad take on rts games and the units do vary and will change your play style depending on who you bring.

I bought this game on sale and I barely payed a dollar for this game. This game is a creative tower defense and it seems like it'd be a fun app but its more then an app for your phone because I dont regret buying this. It is addictive and you can just read any other reviews and the majority agree with me. This is a very fun Game and i am loving it so far and It seems short but its longer then some games ive played. Infact the game goes on for ever there is always something to do and you can challenge your friends to be better then you or beat your score on certain gamemodes. I recommend this game while its on sale and while its not. Worth buying 9/10

This is actually a pretty cool game from what I've played. I do enjoy the crossover units. More games should have characters from other games. I did a short review of the game here
