"Love" is a fast paced, hard, and fun retro 2D platformer that justifies it's $2.99 USD price tag. If you want a good time, even if it's very short (having only 12 levels), I reccomend you pick this title up. It has an okay soundtrack, but nothing out of the ordinary. It's graphics are incredibly simple and retro. They'll remind you of something right out of an Atari 2600.
There are also multiple modes for you to play, and while it's not reeking with replayability, the variety will keep you playing for a while. There's an "easy" mode with unlimited lives, "standard" mode with 100 lives, "YOLO" mode which speaks for itself, and a "Speedrun" mode, which is for those people that just gotta go fast. And did I mention there is even a level creator?
The controls are generally okay, but the character's overall unconfortably fast speed, overly tight jump, and unresponisve jump will make you fall off platforms like an idiot a lot. It's not that irriatating of a game to control, but it's noteworthy.
Another issue is that even though the game runs at a smooth 30fps throughout the entire time I played a single run, the game can look irritably jittery while you are moving quickly. This makes the speedrun mode even harder
to control and judge where you are going to land after you jump. I make an already notibly hard experience, a bit harder.
