"A story of young ambition that's relatable and strong. It's far outside the typical for the genre, with characters and ending you'll have to experience."

About This Game

From the author of Spice and Wolf, Isuna Hasekura, comes WORLD END ECONOMiCA. The opening video features music by Kishida Kyoudan & The Akeboshi Rockets, known for the opening songs for High School of the Dead and Strike the Blood.

A three part visual novel set in the far future on the moon, 16 years after humans have begun to colonize it. A young boy named Haru has been chasing his wildest dream. His dream is to stand where no man has stood before, and in order to do so he needs capital, a ludicrous amount of capital. What better place to get that amount of capital by using the stock market? There are two key rules that govern the stock market.

  • The first rule: Never take a loss.
  • The second rule: Never forget the first.

Only those who follow these rules are able to obtain enormous wealth...

TLDR; this is an excellent visual novel, though if you're looking for a feel-good ending this is not where you should look for it.

Ok, for the detail:

Plot: Humanity has thoroughly colonized the moon and many people now live there. Our young male protagonist has run away from home and is trying to make it big in the stock market (on the moon, of course). Unlike other young male protagonists, he actually knows some stuff about the stock market and is doing alright for himself. However, after a close encounter with the police, he takes refuge with a young woman who is also caring for a girl about his age.

+Great story, even with the esoteric vocabulary (in general, it's explained well)
+Good length, especially if you read out loud (You could probably do it in 15-20 if you're focused)
+Great art: all of the art is well drawn and the characters' looks suit them well (you'll find no exaggerated anatomy here)
+Dat OP
+Lots of feels

-Minor typos usually do not detract from understanding but somewhat ruin immersion
-The descriptions given in the story do not always match the illustrations (HER EYES ARE RED JFC)
-Lots of feels

About the feels though, I think my partner said it best "Some stories tell you the story you want to hear. Others tell you what actually happened. This is a story about what actually happened."

Overall: 9/10 please release the rest of them.

This is probably the best Visual Novel (VN) on Steam, it's about a really good storyline, not kawaii and moe things, also it has very nice calming soundtrack that helps concentrate reading it. It's about a guy who is very good at stock trades, who lives in more future time than we, when humanity achieved fully reaching the Moon and even made city there that uses Solar power with Solar Panels to maintain itself, and it located inside a dome where even rain is simulated, so there lives our protagonist.

This VN is written by Isuna Hasekura the writer of Spice & Wolf series, there is even anime and manga of it besides more than 11 books. Because of this you can see World End Economica is written more professionally than other VNs, she describes small details very well, engages different moments with explanations of secondary things that gives a more deep feel to the story, characters and the surrounding world of the City in the Moon, I also really like the characters personality, the Moon and their citizens and different places there are described in multiple details making you feel more the world of the story.

I totally recommend getting World End Economica, if you like VNs with good more serious stories where even the anime style is a secondary thing, anime style is nice it gives characters their personality and look, but it doesn't really affect the actual story, so even if you are not into anime you would probably still like it, Isuna Hasekura is a really good writer, she won't disappoint you.

WORLD END ECONOMiCA episode.01 is a VN where there are no choices for the reader to make. It is pretty long considering how it is just a third of the full story. It is written by the same author who wrote Spice and Wolf. I would recommend having a basic knowledge of stocks and margin trading to fully enjoy the story, since most of the exciting parts are about stock trading.

Story: The story is well written. It is about a boy who runs away from home and makes a living by trading stocks. At times, I feel the story really dragged on, and could be condensed. I really liked the twist at the end. I have studied a lot of economics, finance, statistics, mathematics and computer science, so I thought the story was pretty amazing since it incorporated a lot of material I had learned into a plot. But without basic knowledge of stocks or an interest in economics, you probably will not undestand or be interested in the most exciting parts of the plot and the plot is pretty dull without those components. Overall I would rate the plot 8.5/10.

Characters: The characters differed from the stereotypical characters in most Anime/VN and were well developed. Nothing too special about them though. I would rate the characters 7/10

Music: The music was okay. Better than a lot of other games. A few catchy tunes. I would rate it 7.5/10.

Artwork: The artwork was nice. But there were still a lot of scenes that had black/blank backgrounds and lots of scenes where I feel the background should be updated to different one. Overall, I would rate the artwork 6.5/10 since there were too many scenes with black backgrounds (no artwork) and too many reused backgrounds.

Overall: I would rate it 8/10. The story was great. There are several typos, and too many black backgrounds and reused to backgrounds which took away from my enjoyment.

It could have been a great VN. Too many black screens. Too many re-used images. Horrible ending. The great characters are the only pro. I'm just disappointed right now. would not pay a million mools for this.
