Database wipe before MP release

Hello,

Before we will release multiplayer to the public, we will be wiping the databases clean. This is because the MP and our login system are in beta-testing phase at the moment and there have been several fails during the time.

Don't take it personal, take it as a clean start for everyone. We will add multiplayer achievements, ranking etc. these things require us to wipe the saves.

There is also a problem with the login system which currently is case sensitive, and needs to be re-rolled to non-case sensitive because there are multiple similar login names existing at the moment. Because of this, we will be also deleting all accounts that were created to Panic.net

I hope you guys understand.

There is still no ETA, but we are moving close so i thought this would be a good time to let you know so you won't be surprized by this.

- paNicci

Hero Siege is like Diablo stripped to its core, with some The Binding of Isaac-like rogue elements added as spices. It's a top-down action hack 'n slash with 16-bit graphics, played as one of seven characters. During one's walk around the arena, there's gold and (some) loot to be picked up, there are (many) monsters to be slain, and every six levels, a boss (some amazingly easy, some excruciatingly difficult) awaits you. Levels and enemies are random-generated from a relatively large numer of possibilities, which guarentees a lot of differentiation. There a - very Diablo-like.. - several chapters, each chapter having 30 (!!) levels. So far, so good: the idea is sound, the graphics are fun, and the gameplay - if using an Xbox 360-like controller - has something very addictive to it.

But Hero Siege also has its share of problems. The rpr-light-like leveling system, with stats- and skill-points to be distributed as one levels up, is fairly unbalanced. Stats go only up by fractions of percentages - making it fairly useless to upgrade them, except maybe from level 50 or so. Action skills are sometimes VERY powerful after a time, which will be necessary - but some are really over-the-top. Opposed to this, the amount of damage one can get while playing, is completely unpredictable. This is by itself a good thing, but some bullet-firing skulls deal such an amount of damage, that during the first six levels at least, one can die in an instant, without even knowing what hit you. The graphics tend to hide these skulls sometimes, and that makes it really frustrating. Though I have to, once at a certain level (certainly from 31 upwards), these devils can be survived better. Power-ups, dropped by the bosses, are really essential to survive for a longer time - but since they drop randomly as well, some games are fun because of the great assets they give, others are really disappointing.

The good thing is that the developers are still finetuning things, and taking comments from the community into consideration, as far as I can see. That's why I give this game a thumbs-up, even if I've cried out sometimes in frustration when my poor newly-made marksman got out of the blue hit once more by a deadly bullet.
What should really be implemented is a better save system: relics (power-ups) tend to get lost once I quit the game, and saving is actually only possible every act (30 levels).

Overall: 6,5/10
This game has potential, is strangely addictive (although the 152 (!!!) Steam achievements seem like impossible to get), but still has serious flaws. Luckily, the developers are still finetuning and working on it.

Was nearly to the point of giving up on this game; Crappy graphics, can't shoot diagonally and hard as hell . . . once you start. 3 or 4 hours in, my chosen character was leveled and I started getting further in waves. Now I’m hooked. Eventually gonna level up at least half of the 8 characters because it’s just plain fun. Highly recommended at full price.

Most of my games bore me after 20 minutes of playing and they never get touched again. Not Hero Siege. It’s good action and controller friendly.

One of the Best Rogue-Like Games I have played hope to see more dlc and content to be added everytime. Its ridiculous how many things are in this game that are easter eggs infact id almost go as far as to say it is just one big endless easter egg. Before i bought the game i was kinda sad thinking it would just be a Binding of Isaac knock off which isnt bad but kind of disappointing in the mind of a game not reaching a fully reachable idea or feel making it cling to another game. But needless to say i was quite wrong it gave me its own feeling of endless waves and fun. Granted it is acceptionally hard but i think there are some minor things wrong with the game so im not going to knock off any recommendation of the game just a small thing like a mini map would be nice to see. Otherwise id give it a solid 9/10

Great graphics, smooth gameplay, easy controls, broken keyboard, high replay value, fun collectables, and all for the great price of $5.99 and whatever anger management classes cost these days!

Want all the above? Then get this game.

I've played this game in ANDROID, and now in the PC just got better!
This game is very addictive and hard.
You choose a character and must defeat waves of monsters, after a few waves of creatures you face bosses!
Each character has its advantages and disadvantages, as well as their own weapons / spells.
It has a good amount of different monsters to confront, and collect money to buy potions and stuff. And of course also has the relics that can give you an optimal help in your battle.
This game is very simple, but very fun.
