Short Verdict: A puzzle game with so much potential and such a nice concept... but it just falls short where it matters the most--the gameplay. It relies too much on your creativity while lacks in providing something really substancial. I was really looking forward to playing this game, but in the end it was nothing more than a big disappointment. I sympathize so much with this game, but I can't see how I could recommend it. If you can face it more like a sandbox than a puzzle game, maybe you can have some fun with it.

Pros:
  • Cute simplistic graphics
  • Okay BGM
  • There's a lot of room for being creative and trying an infinite variety of strategies to solve the puzzles

Cons:
  • What you draw doesn't always match the objects' hit area, making it kinda clumsy
  • Terrible tutorial (of lack thereof) that made me wonder how to create ropes, pins etc.
  • Difficulty is either too easy (if you just wanna get beat each stage) or too hard (if you're aiming for the Elegant and Old School solutions)
  • To get the Awesome solution, all you have to do is vote for it as awesome... which is really, really lame
  • Some parts of the physics, like friction and the weight of the objects you create, fall short
  • Their official forum is dead

Bought on / for: I traded this game because I like puzzle games and I thought it would be fun. But, c'mon, a full price of US$ 20 (R$ 35 is cheaper, but still really expensive)!? Had I known, I wouldn't get it even with a 90% discount AND if it had trading cards. I can totally see this game being uploaded to a F2P website, like kongregate.

Similar games: If you're feeling like you wanna solve puzzles while drawing stuff with crayons, by all means, go for Draw a Stickman: EPIC. It's much better and much cheaper.

Each level has one goal: to guide an object from point A to point B. The fun comes from experimenting, coming up with different solutions and seeing your contraptions take on a life of their own. It can be hard to draw certain shapes, and sometimes the physics seem to bug out. Although I laughed the hardest when my scribbles reached critical mass and started twitching wildly and flinging pieces all over the place.

Very interesting game to play. It's nice that you can draw anything you want to solve the problem. Very versatile, original, and the fun is up to how creative you as a player are. It also gives a little lesson in physics amidst the fun!

Great for stupid duck tests. Not great when the ducks are so stupid they delete your save file (Seriously, pressing "new game" immediately deletes your save file)!

All the glitches and creativity lead me to give this innovative game a solid 7.4/10.

It's a great idea, but I think this one really needs to be on a tablet.

Really cool thematically, but the open-ended goals and difficulty frustrated me.

Good game. Soothing and at a lot of times hilariously unexpected. Then after about an hour the challenge starts to work its way up. You go from making bridges and boxes to golf clubs. A lot of it is trial and error. Some of it is luck. There is no given way to complete each challenge.

Some of the challenges get good, but not frustrating. In hindsight though this is one of those games that you play.... but don't return to and that's not a good thing for a $20 game. There's nothing compelling me to return. This game is good if you're a creative person or just like drawing with a mouse.

Basic physics-based puzzle game, in which you draw objects to help move a ball from Point A to Point B. Personally, I got a lot of joy from the game, but it would not be for everyone. Not worth $20.

If you're able to get it for less than 2$, in a bundle or something similar, but I don't think it's worth it otherwise.
This is a really clever and simple puzzle game where you draw lines to make objects to make a ball go from point "A" to point "B". One of the most impressing side of this game is the art style. It's very beautiful and unique and it fits the relaxing, slow phase of the game.
The gameplay feels at first glance very refreshing and new, but there is so little variation to it that you will probably get bored of it after an hour. That said, the game is clearly not made to be played for long periods of time, but rather for around half an hour when you feel bored. By playing it this way it also become more refreshing and entertaining.
This is not a game that everyone will like and I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a game to get immersed and use more than 15 hours on. This is a very casual game.

Ten Outta Ten, meh

While it's certainly the most comprehensive crayon simulator on the market, unfortunately since the technology doesn't yet exist to enable us to eat the crayons it pales in comparison to the real thing. The $19.99 price tag might seem steep at first, however in the long run you'll end up saving time and money as unlike the real thing these crayons don't run out and you'll no longer have to organise trips to resupply. Anybody who considers themself a hardcore crayon enthusiast you should definitely give this one a go.

Having used countless crayons in years past, I was immediately taken aback to my paste eating, pencil chewing days as a youth within my winding self discovery era most know as the kindergarten. The nostalgia is almost too strong as you draw your way through puzzles, much as we do through life. A fine substitute for MS Paint, 5/5 stars.
