Been a Doctor Who fan since 1986. The only reason I played this game or tried to finish it was because it\'s Doctor Who. My favorite TV show of all time. Especially because it has daleks.

It seems to be like a total conversation of low budget adventure games. Nothing great unfortunately.

This game is reasonable but too expensive for twenty dollars, which is why I got it during a Steam sale. This game is very buggy and glitchy but the storyline is pretty good. Some of the mini-games are hardcore annoying while others are extremely enjoyable. I would only recommend this to those during a Steam sale as it is not worth the wage. I've only played half of the game so far but it is enjoyable from what I've played thus far.

6/10 for Humans and Time Lords alike. (Or both, wink wink professor).

It was hard to look at the characters in the game...
Are they on some sort of informerical face cream?

Ok, let me set something down.
I LOVE Doctor Who. I love season 1 all the way to season 7. (Not a fan of the seasons after that.) Yet, this game has some major issues.

Pros: The stories are pretty original, even though I haven't played all of them yet. The controls aren't too shabby, and the music is good.
Cons (oh boy): The graphics are pretty bad, everyone is WAY too calm, the camera is spastic, the levels are tedious and very simplistic, talking to Amy is like talking to a brick... What's the point? And finally, the game is just generally boring.

So, if this game is on sale and Doctor Who is your life, then get this game. Under any other circumstances, DO NOT get this game. Get Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock instead. It's a much better game.
5/10 stars, this game needs a bit of work.

I can see why people don't like it with a mouse control only. A bit awkward, I used an xbox controller to move, and a mouse for the puzzles and this was fine.
Nothing too challenging, a game experience, really. Some good quality voice acting and humour that captures the spirit of the show.
I bought this when it was 80% off, so good 8.5 hours of entertainment value there.
Anything sci-fi is always going to be a mixed bag of review, if you don't like DW, this wouldn't change that. If you do, you'll probably like it. I did.

I played the first half of Darleks and im totally having a blast... The darleks look awsome, and what other games do you know of that have darleks ??. Another thing i liked was my xbox 360 controller was already pre mapped to work with this game straight away,,, instead of having to use a mouse for everything.... it made walking around far more easy. The puzzles in this game will have you thinking fast and sharp.... There are many who are quick to put doctor who game down, but its not like there are lots of them to choose between, so were lucky to have any at all..... they really should make more. This game and eternity clock are fun and im have a great time with both. Yes i know the grathics are not xbox one standards in this game lol, thats because this game is some years old and it is a BBC game.... but you dont really notice when your playing as your focused on the puzzle at hand going at a quick pace.... But i can tell you the doctor is as quirkey and barmey as usual which we like.. he's a real mad hatter lol

I love the series but, the games seem like they were designed by people who have never played a game in their lives. Horrid control scheme, graphics on max level look as though they're from 2002 - Half-Life 2 had better graphics and it came out in 2002. Don't waste your money on this, just love the series for what it is.

I prefer David Tennant over Matt Smith but alright

This is a very good game with interesting puzzles, as a fan of the doctor i am amused.
Although i suddenly stop´d watching the series, the game is very interesting indeed, the controls are a bit weird, but so are people.
Not a fan of this episodic shenanigan going around, but the fact that all episodes are in the game i´ll let it pass, and all those looking to re-live the doctors adventure with David Tennant will get kinda dissapointed, as it is with Matt Smith.
The game also contains a few bugs/glitches, but if you look away you´re gonna have fun.
I do recommend it to fans of the Doctor, as i dont think those who are not will enjoy it.

I finished the 1st part. was pretty easy and fun
well I don't know if "easy" is good or bad for you , but for me was possitive.
frustrating 0% ! the game it s absolutely good made so you will not have to run over everything if you die.
It makes pretty often save and it loads very fast.

1 think I noticed and I am not sure if my pc was the reason or the game, in the screen I hat to enter a name , the keys I was pressing was repeating 5 times , like tttttt ... I tried 2 different keyboards. But anyway I managed somehow to enter my name :D
It does not matter at all anyway..

Well I recommend this game , even you are or you are not a doctor who fan :)

With Matt Smith being my favourite Doctor, this game definitely creates some nostalgia. However, the game is not amazing. It suffers from regular lag and the graphics really could be a lot better. I'd only reccommend this to die-hard Doctor Who fans like me.

Only recommended to diehard fans. As someone completely indifferent to the series, I saw it and thought "hey, you know what? A point-and-click in the Doctor Who universe, what could go wrong?" Ugh... everything, apparently.

I won't focus on the small things, like the Bethesda-grade visuals and lacking optimization that makes it run worse than Crysis. 40 FPS is still playable, bad controls can be put up with, and the lifeless animation and Xbox era visuals are acceptable if you grit your teeth a bit (noting this game wasn't made in 2001, but 2010). I'll focus on the legitimate issues with this game, the ones you can't just grit your teeth and put up with.

What I ended up with in playing this was a Telltale game with none of the charm. The entire game is EXTREMELY linear (it literally tells you "Wrong Way" and forces you to turn around with any deviation from the path, LucasArts is literally rolling in its digital grave right now), and the entirety of the content is so barebones that, much like a Telltale game, the only thing that could save it is a fantastic story.

AAAAAAAAAAAAnd that's not what it is. It's Doctor Who. It's decent, but hardly The Wolf Among Us here. Five episodes of 'eh.'

When the game does give you freedom, it's through awful stealth sequences in which you can only right-click to move in the camera direction (the arrow key controls are sickening, to say the least), and I was able to cross a hallway with a guard simply by hiding behind pillars AFTER it noticed me and waiting for the heat to blow over, with NO INVESTIGATION. Or, the guards are all-seeing and will spot your braindead companion with ease. Even if it had a fantastic story, these sections singlehandedly ruin the game.

It's free directly from the BBC's website if you're in the United Kingdom. If you happen to be a real Brit and not a 'Murrican wannabe, go right on ahead. As for paying for this game? There are plenty of high-quality adventure games you can buy instead, like Grim Fandango or Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis.

In the meantime... there are better things to do with your money. For example:

Erm... I'm not sure what to say about this game to be honest. It's. Good? To be honest I can't tell. It's just a mix of good and bad, I think it's the most 'meh' game I've ever played. It captures the feel of the Doctor Who series, but at the same time it doesn't. Mainly because of how it looks. It looks... Bad. Just. Bad, but the daleks are in it!

But the stealth system is on the verge of being broken... But look it's the vashta nerada!

But the puzzles are terrible... But OMG it's the cyber men!

But there are random facts that if I wanted to know, I would play and educational game (Which I would never do anyway)...
But there's the... Thing that sucks the time energy out of you? OK that definetely wasn't in Doctor Who. Or is it an old villain... I don't even know.

UH but it's SO short (thats what she said).

But there's the. OK I've ran out of things.

I'd only get this if you're a Doctor Who fan... Which I am. Also Rory looks like the devil in this wtf?

Really good game that offers alot to Doctor who fans. The mains (Matt Smith "The Doctor" and Karen Gillan "Amy") do a speldid job with voice acting and the main plots for all five of the episodes are good. Shadows of the Vashna Narada is really good and brings back fantastic aliens from the library two parter in 2008. City of the Daleks brings back the daleks (who pretty much appear in most doctor who series, however it's nice to see them in the game to). Blood of the Cybermen (Has the Cybermen in it, REALLY cool aliens that can DELETE you). TARDIS hasn't got an alien in it (mostly just a nice puzzle filled episode where you explore the TARDIS as the Doctor and Amy). The fifth episode (The Gunpowder plot) is quite nice and has Rory in it (Amy's husband). All in all it's a great game that is worth $20.00 as I'm writing this review it's 75% off (price is $5.00) which is basically a steal! Anyway buy it if your interested, if you still don't want it than it's your loss.
10/10

Very fun, graphics arn't great, and the voice isn't quite synced with the character's mouth, but very fun definately worth the $5 i paid for it, it would even be worth $10. Very nice plots, and gameplay. I think they should make some for the 10th Doctor though.
