Panzer Corps: Operation Sea Lion announced!

“[However] a German invasion of England would be a matter of life and death for the British, and they would unhesitatingly commit their naval forces, to the last ship and the last man, into an all-out fight for survival” Erich Raeder, commander-in-chief of the Kriegsmarine

Great Britain, the propulsive core of the British Empire, is surrounded. After the fall of Scandinavia and France only a few miles of sea divide the land of Albion from the Reich. It’s only thanks to the Home Fleet and to the Royal Air Force that the Germans are not yet raising their flag on the Big Ben.

But for how long?

Panzer Corps: Operation Sea Lion is the latest expansion of the multi award-winning strategy title Panzer Corps, and it is focused on one of the most famous what if scenarios of the Second World War: the cancelled (but planned) German invasion of the British Isles, which was the plan to put an end to the war on the Western Front and to force the remnants of the Commonwealth forces around the World to surrender.

The campaign can be started with the core force from DLC 40, so you can begin the invasion of England with the core forces that emerged victorious in France. Alternatively players can start with a preset core force.

Scenario list
Channel Islands, Eagle Attack, Dover, Canterbury, Gravesend, Crossing the Thames, Basildon, Luton, Brighton, Newick, Guildford, Reading, Farnborough, Milton Keynes, Gibraltar, Lyme Regis, Minehead, Plymouth, Shepton Mallet, Bristol, Besieging London, Storming London, Oxford, Coventry, Irish Sea, North Sea, Hadrian's Wall, Antonine's Wall, Orkney Islands, Reykjavik.

Panzer Corps is a solid and loving overhaul of the classic Panzer General. Technical implementation and graphic design leave little room for any criticism.

Easy to learn, simple interface, hard to stop playing once you start, you don't have to be a serious wargamer to appreciate.

9/10 - CPU Gamer
When it comes to being Panzer General, Panzer Corps beats the pants off the competition.

Overall, PanzerCorps is one of the best “beer and pretzels” turn based wargame releases in years. The game is very polished and stable. It is fun to play.

...nothing short of brilliant.

9/10 - RTSguru
This was seriously one of the best games that we have ever played. If you do not pick this up, you are missing out.

9/10 - Onet.pl
If one asked how would Panzer General be like if it was released today? The answer is simple - it would be Panzer Corps.

9/10 - EntDepot
Panzer Corps has me dreaming in hexagons nowadays.

A- - GameShark.com
Now that the official review is complete, if this were any other game it would go on the shelf next to other games that have been “finished” but I have every intention of firing it up again.ລ

Jawhol, Generalfeldmarschall!
Accessibility: 9/10
Replayability: 8/10
Graphics: 6/10
Sound: 8/10

Panzer Corps is an accessible wargamer in the tradition of Panzer General. As the name suggests, it is a Korps-level wargamer that focus on maneuver and combined arms tactics. It eschews complex supply lines and routes in favor of easy to understand icons and actions. Playing a grand campaign from the cobbled stones of Poland in 1939 to the plains of Ukraine in 1943 and back to ruined Berlin in 1945 is gratifying in the sense that you get a sense of ownership in the accomplishment of your units. They will earn their Ritterkreuz, and so will you too if you last that long.
Multiplayer is good, not exceptional. Be prepared for a long evening if you so chose to play.
A serious quibble in this otherwise impeccable game is the DLC's which seem to pester and tease gamers with content. The DLC's are quite enjoyable in its own right but not worth the asking price. Get the core game, it is worth it. Get the DLC's when they are on sale.

Easily one of the best games I've ever played. Endless replayability, a massive amount of content. A classic game that's easy to learn, hard to master. Complaints? Two big ones: the price and a lack of polish. The price speaks for itself. As far as the lack of polish goes, there's an unforgiveable absence of multiplayer features. No leaderboard, not even a way to track your win/loss ratio. The menus are cluttered, unorganized and rather ugly. No Steam workshop support. The game is practically screaming for these features but it seems that the developers have turned a def ear. Perhaps they feel the game has enough content, and maybe they're right, but for the price they're asking, one would expect a more complete experience.

A game anyone would certainly enjoy, but in it's current state, I can only recommend it when it's on sale...

Panzer Corps is a brilliant in depth World War 2 strategy game. The top down turn based strategy game is based on the classic Panzer General. If you are a fan of World War 2 games or a strategist at heart you will love this game. Check out my Tutorial videos if you are just getting started.

This is like the talented son of Panzer General II! If you're looking for graphics and flashy animations, look elsewhere. This is old school "Just one more turn as the hours go by quickly" gameplay. It's pretty basic, but quite strategic. Move all your units during your turn, then the computer does the same. The great thing about this game is that you can customize your army as you see fit. If you like a massive airforce with a few tanks to use blitzkrieg tactics...do it! Do you like to use artillery to soften up city defenses before sending in the troops...it's there. some strategies work better than others, but no matter how you play it....IT'S FUN....and so addictive. Change history...invade England...invade the USA...if you're good enough. Spending your prestige points after battles is like opening presents at Christmas. Pay no attention to my hours on this game...I purchased it a long time ago from the original producers and have over 1500 hours logged in. Purchased every expansion and to this day I still play it weekly...my most played game ever. One of the things I really like is that periodically a unit will get a bonus modifier applied to it as a reward (+3 Attack, +1 defense, +1 spotting, etc.) These modifiers actually make the unit noticeably better so it truly feels like a reward. As units gain experience in scenarios, you can also overpower them making stronger as the war progresses and when new technology arrives you can even upgrade them! I personally like the campaign modes and I like to try and rewrite history. Difficulty is adjustable as well as prestige points which allows you to upgrade and purchase new units. You can set it to be hard as hell or make it so easy that you just annihilate the enemy. Love the navy units as well! If you ever played Panzer General II and liked it, you'll feel right at home here. Lots of fun!!
