This game is reminicent of old fashioned quarter dropping arcade days spent at the mall killing a saturday during the summer. It is as addictive as it is pure fun. The graphics are colorful and the interface is non-obtrusive. Truly a hidden gem among the thousands of cooperative games on steam. This one is a shining example of simple and well executed game design.
The added bonus of challenging gameplay combined with just the right amount of shoot and loot. You will laugh everytime you level up, which is every 3 minutes. Well worth my time, and I have a young son to take care of. My time is limited and this game is easy to drop in and drop out.
Coming from an indie developer, this game is top notch. There are only a few minor bugs and no lobby system but I have enjoyed every minute played.
10/10
Oh yeah don't forget...the slow motion never gets old. Grab this game. Well worth it and usually there is a coupon on coupon dumpster if you're thrifty.
I'd buy that for a dollar. ;)
Bonuses:
Local and online co-op
Easy to pick up
Fun as all get out
Will remind you why you game in the first place
A great game that looks good and keeps you hooked

Meltdown is a sort of dual stick shoot 'em up in space. Actually it's set on a space station that seems to have gone mad and is intent on ending your life by sending all of it's robots after you. Using an isometric perspective the game seems to give a nod to gaming of yesteryear.

You will have to fight wave after wave of them, but you can bring some friends along with you as the game has a neat multiplayer mode. You can play online of locally if you prefer, but the more players you have the tougher the enemies become. There are plenty of objects to hide behind making the game a sort of cover based shooter. Every few levels feature a boss which makes for some great multiplayer action, but can seem a little daunting when you're on your own.

If there's one small complaint it is that most of it looks the same, but this doesn't really matter when you're busy blasting the hell out of those metal nut cases.

Cool sound effects. 7/11

+ Works fine with keyboard and mouse, but has great controller support.

+ Surprisingly fun in short bursts.

+ Very nice to look at.

+ Should run well on even a lower-end PC, on all but the highest graphics settings.

- It will take a while before you're able to upgrade your equipment and successfully take on later levels. Playing the randomly generated levels, in order to earn what you need to upgrade, helps keep it from getting too old too fast.

Amazing indie action game , it's coop , cheap and the amount of fun is amazing !

The only things i don't like is the fact that you level up really too fast and the environments are always the same, i wish you could have like a forest or city environments for exemple , oh and the fact that when you join a game and it finish the server end up automaticely so you have to wait another game to show up.

The optimization is really good for a port of a mobile game ( yes the game was on smartphone before) you can play with a old computer without problem , exemple i run the game with my laptop in "high" settings 60 fps all the way
