This is a turn based action game in which you control a team through various missions achieving various goals.
The graphics are very nice and the music (mission impossible-like-ish) and sound effects are great too.
The controls are simple and easy to understand.
The game-play is turn based action with each character having Action Points available they can use for movement or special skill and attacks.
The game uses the term contracts which contains several missions. Each contract is a story which progresses through each mission.
Before each mission you can select your 3 team members you want to take along. You have originally a choice of 5, each with unique weapon skills and special skills. During the course of the game you can hire additional members as well.
Each member has 1 unique special skill + item slots you can pre-populate before each mission.
Each Mission can be played in one of several difficulties: Easy, Normal, Hard and Hell. Each raised difficulty level gives bigger rewards along with the raised risk or death.
During a mission you navigate your team through a map using your characters action points wisely. Inspecting your enemies and their stats, skills, visibility and shooting range can help and give you an advantage when planning where you are moving your team member to and how many Action Points to leave for special or counter attacks.
After you kill an enemy you can click the dead body to reveal item drops, which can be anything from extra cash to item boxes you can open between each mission or temporary attribute perks that can be applied immediately to a team member when walking over them.
The game has tons of STEAM achievements as well as in-game challenges, such as "Use 4 Special Skills in a single Mission" or similar.
I personally find this game very entertaining and would certainly recommend it.
The price definitely is more than fair for this title.
The scripted dialogue from the characters during each mission that progress the story reads nicely and make the game feel more like a story you play through rather than just mindlessly playing each mission.
The characters have entertaining personalities and each have a unique feel when played.
Great value for money for sure.
