Lo he intentado pero no puedo, puede que no sea el juego y que sea yo. Vale que no se me dan los juegos de puzzles, pero este me ha parecido muy frustante desde el principio al final miraba guías y realmente no hubiera llegado a resolverlos en la vida. Además de que es necesario completarlos TODOS para pasarse el juego. Prefiero la dificultad de un Dark Souls que este juego, porque al menos el DS sí que lo disfruté a pesar de sufrir.
Respecto a la historia, he tenido que leer de que iba para enterarme de algo, porque si bien la idea es buena, el lenguaje usado en los mensajes era taaan recargado que no me enteraba (lo he jugado en inglés, pero aun y así...), además de que tiene un mensaje muy abierto...
Sinceramente el juego me ha parecido muy pomposo tanto en su historia como a nivel jugable.

If you're interested in it, as a concept, or you've tried similar games and so this one interests you - give it a run. You'll probably like it, or at least parts of it; maybe even long stretches of it. Chances are good that you, like me, will find parts you dislike and wind up putting this game on the backburner. I intend to give Braid another try sometime soon, but I feel the need to make it clear that the game did not maintain my interest the first time around.

I often tell people this is the best single-player multi-player game. By that I mean that it's a single-player game from the perspective of only one person's actually operating the game via a controller, but you'll probably need a committee of people to solve the puzzles. It's like, even though it's a single-player game, it's a good game to have friends over to play. The puzzles are often very difficult.

Beautiful game, fun mechanics, interesting story, and it is non-linear.

As a puzzle platformer it's great that it's non-linear(story is linear, but the puzzles aren't). You can keep moving on if you can't figure out a puzzle and come back to finish it later(you have to finish all the puzzles to get the ending) with a fresh mind instead of quiting and coming back 2 months later.

I am guilty of spreading the video game plague among my friends, and have turned several of them onto Steam. In the event of a successful conversion, I am usually met with one question: "Well, now what?"

With thousands of titles available through Steam, it can no doubt be overwhelming to newer players as to what games they should invest in first. When giving loose advice to newcomers (as well as experienced gamers feeling "stagnant" or "stale"), "Braid" is one of the first games I suggest, and for many reasons.

"Braid" is a relatively no-frills puzzle/platformer with a whispful and captivating aesthetic. The story is so-so -- perhaps a bit of a bummer and maybe a little too personally indulgent (and, thankfully for some, nearly totally optional), but such a motif ties very well with the game's style. What is more impressive is how the game's core mechanic -- time manipulation -- plays with the theme of loss and regret, and blends it all -- the awareness of perception and the present, what is current, and what is being swept away by the current -- into a game.

"Braid" takes real and mature details of the tragedy of life and makes it not just digestable, but fun.

Of course, tight controls and interesting puzzles are what make "Braid" so enjoyable. The in-game problem solving is rewarding. Players feel smart when they cross a wide and deadly chasm or snag a particularly elusive puzzle-piece, which makes "Braid" hard to put down. Thanfully, considerate design allocates for moderate level and chapter lengths, promoting breaks in gameplay and giving players incentive not to swallow "Braid" in one gulp (though it is tempting).

To me, "Braid" exemplifies what (some) games should be -- simple, engaging, tight, rewarding, and fun. The game succeeds in exactly what it sets out to be, and such purity can truly leave an impression. "Braid" is on my shortlist when the topic of "Video Games as Art" comes up. Without hesitation, I encourage you to add "Braid" to your library, and to dive into it when you can give it the attention it deserves.

If you enjoy puzzle/platformers like "Braid", you may also want to check out "Limbo", "VVVVVV", "Closure", and "Fez". If you are looking for other games that touch on true, mature psycho-social details like loss, anger, confusion, and regret, I would recommend "Anodyne" and "Lisa". All of the aforementioned games can be found and purchased on Steam.

Braid, from the mind of Jonathan Blow, is considered by many to be a masterpiece. A grand testament to what video games can be. A deconstruction of expectations. A philosophical treatise on the nature of relationships and perception. It is all of these things, and more: it is also an excellent puzzle platformer.

At first glance this appears to be a (gorgeous) standard platformer in the vein of Super Mario Bros. But things are deeper than they first appear. Make a mistake, and you’ll be prompted to hit X (Shift). No explanation is given, no tutorial is displayed. Press the button, and you discover that you can rewind time. This seems a small thing at first. Great; now you do not have to restart a level from the beginning! But this is so much more than that. Obstacles that would be unfair or nigh-impossible in a standard platformer are simple puzzles here. The way you play this game turns your expectations of platforming upside-down, inside-out, and yes, in reverse.

Tim is searching for the princess, who has been taken by a monster, and using his time-travel powers, he must collect puzzle pieces to find his way to her. All of the deep exposition is given to you at the beginning of each world, leading you into the next time-bending puzzle. And oh, how the puzzles twist your brain. You become comfortable with rewinding time, then you are given objects that do not respond to your reversals. There’s a world where you can create a shadow who replays your past actions. There’s a world where time only moves forward if you do. Each time-shifting mechanic the game introduces will totally subvert your expectations and change your strategies. Each puzzle builds on the last, and presents new and unique challenges for you to overcome, making you think backwards and stretching out your perceptions. Even the same puzzle, when presented with a slightly different flow of time, can have vastly different solutions.

The graphics have a lovely hand-drawn quality to them, and are simply beautiful in their simplicity. From Tim’s house to the golden light wafting through the trees, the 2D world is just a treat to take in. Where the developers could have gone with a retro 8- or 16-bit design, this high-definition hand-drawn aesthetic really makes this game stand out. Every frame of this game could be a painting on your wall.

But the music, oh goodness, the music. The folksy, dreamy, strings-and-piano style throughout most of the soundtrack will soothe you. A puzzle that seems almost impossible, well that’s ok, because you get to listen to this wonderfully peaceful music while you think on how to manipulate time. Rewinding time will cause the music to rewind itself, giving you a weird sensation of wrongness when you do it. This kind of sound wasn’t meant to flow backwards. You’re breaking the natural order of things when you do that, though there’s no repercussions except the musical unease. It’s a perfect complement to the gameplay, and the larger themes at play here.

Braid is not a difficult game, not in the traditional twitchy-platformer sense. The puzzles take deeply lateral (and inverse) thinking to solve, and there’s thankfully very few cases where you’ll have an exact understanding what to do but lack the necessary dexterity to pull it off. Most every puzzle is easily skippable, and you can always return to earlier stages to retry them. The game’s mechanics complement the story wonderfully, and you’ll end up asking yourself some very deep questions. What would it mean for my relationships if I could reverse all of my mistakes? How would I interact with people if I was the only one moving forward in time, and everyone else was moving backward? What is the true cost of obsession?

Too much ink has been spilled arguing what Braid is about. This game is one of the greatest of all time, a piece of art, a glimpse into the human condition. And I guess that means we should argue what it is about. The ending completely changes everything you thought you knew, and I won’t spoil it here for those who haven’t finished it. There are plenty of other places on the internet for that. The philosophical subtext, hinted at through the storybooks and even in the gameplay, will gnaw at your mind for a long while after finishing it. Everyone should play this game.

I get the feeling this game wasn't meant to be played with a keyboard. Without a controller, the platforming is too imprecise. I have no other complaints about the small amount of the game I've seen, but the puzzles require precisely timed jumps and pulling those off with a keyboard was just a chore, so I stopped. Ignore my review if you're going to use a gamepad.

Art style is really good. Music is good. Gameplay is alright but just gets boring. The time travel mechanic is unique but its no where near as fun as a traditional platformer/puzzle game. All in all i dont understand the praise it gets. Its a decent game but doesnt deserve the praise it gets. 7/10

If you can get it on sale, check it out!

Braid is good, but I feel like the game is a little bit overhyped. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of platformers to begin with, but this game does bring something new to the table. The levels are interesting, for sure - lots of time-and-space based puzzles, which I thought was a neat take on platforming. It's a little like Prince of Persia and Mario had a lovechild.

Braid's worth giving a shot, but I'd wait to pick it up on a sale. The play time feels just about right, but I doubt whether I'd feel the same way if I had paid full price.

Braid is a puzzle game that manages to feel like an action/adventure game through the exploration of it's unique time-bending mechanics and intriquing hints at story. It's worth playing just to experience the novelty of a different kind of story, and as technical experiences go this is about as polished as it gets.

Amazing game.
The time mechanic and puzzles related are pretty fun to experience, and some of them really challenging; not difficult, but they challenge you in the way you have to look for other options, try other things rather than the usual, and that's amazing.

The story is just superb, it has an incredible plot-twist at the end and in the epilogue all things connect together.
It's pretty confusing at first but either with help of general knowledge to get some references or with some help from google.
When you discover the true meaning of the story, you will get mind-blown anyways.

I don't get why this game gets so much love. The esthetic part is awesome but that's about it. The rest is boring and frustrating, at least for me. I managed to finish one world and after that I was done with this game. I had no incentive to finish all worlds, it simply wasn't fun.

I looked at the finale on YouTube and I am glad I hadn't wasted my time solving all puzzles just to see that BS.

I guess everything has been said about Braid already. Brilliant puzzle platformer with an emphasis on puzzles. Manipulate time in different ways to collect puzzle pieces and set them together to finish each of the 6 worlds. No real reason not to play this if you like video games.

Although perfectly possible with keyboard I'd recommend a controller - especially for the speed run if you want to try that.

what can I say about this game the story had me from the start the music ahhh I could listen to it all day long and the hand drawn art it's a master peace on its own.
At first I was sceptical of this game my English teacher recommended this game to me as related text for the my HSC, and wow as I'm writing this the ending has still left me in shock, still trying to process the effect this game has had on me. Just wow. this game is unlike any other game that I have played and I strongly recommend getting this game.
Some of the puzzles had e scratching my head and sadly I did have to go online for a little bit of help.

Braid is one of the most excellent designed puzzle/platform game I ever played, it is very challenging (especially in the last worlds) but still not frustrating hence extremely satisfying.
The art is beautiful, colorful and subtle; the music is superb and melancholic; the story is mature, cryptic and poetic.
This game is a perfect mix of these elements and it's an essential experience that should not be missed.

Braid is gorgeous, smart and very entertaining! One of the best puzzle games I have ever played, not to mention its soundtrack which adds to the mystery and charm of the game.
I first played Braid on Xbox 360 back in 2008, when I was done playing 360, I bought it again on PS3 back in 2010 and played it again! Then finally, when I went back to PC gaming in 2013, I once more bought it and played it on Steam! I guess you got the pictue?
An absolute must-have and a great timeless classic!

This game is beautifull. I was able to understand this game more after I watched "Indie game: the movie" (you can buy it here on steam) where creators of FEZ, Super Meat Boy and Braid are telling, why they created those games, what did they feel, what they wanted to tell, what they hoped for... Excellent game. Wonderfull soundtrack.

Braid is a very clever little puzzle game with gentle, pleasant music. It's not super difficult but it's not exactly easy, either - it falls into a nice "kind of challenging but not frustrating" place - that is, unless you want to unlock the true ending. Moving through the levels and collecting the puzzle pieces is a fun affair, but the 8 special puzzles for unlocking the alternate ending range from fun to "the developer is giving me a giant middle finger and I don't know what I did to deserve this." I have been told that the sadistic difficulty/tedium of some of the special puzzles is a metaphor.

Your character, a cute little guy in a suit coat named Tim, starts off with the ability to stop, rewind, or fast-forward time, which he retains throughout the game. At first this is mostly used to rewind mistakes, but as you progress you'll find several other uses for it. As you enter each new area you will be given small pieces of writing about moments of Tim's life. The little vignettes are nicely written and interesting to read. They are mostly unrelated to the actual story, but they tell us about Tim's character and set an appropriate tone for each setting with hints at that level's special ability. Each area also has a simple jigsaw puzzle to collect and assemble. The images in the puzzles are unrelated to the story. I have been told that the images in the puzzles are metaphors.

The overall story is... About 95% of the time it seems to be a spoof of the original Mario games taken to a strange extreme: Tim is an eccentric dude with an obsessive personality, and he is totally fixated on finding a princess. In the last area or two it then beats you over the head while screaming "It was a metaphor!!" Frankly it's a bit obnoxious. If you have the patience to collect all of the extra objects for the true ending, the game will explain the metaphor in detail (but it's easy to figure out even with the ending that doesn't explicitly come out and say it).

To summarize: This is a fun puzzle-platformer with an eye-rollingly pretentious story. Metaphors. Metaphors. Metaphors.
