This game is the best Indie game that I've ever played. It beats a lot of platformers out there not just in terms of gameplay but also in storytelling. This shows what the vault-loaded imagination of Indie developers are capable of.
But what seperates it from other platformers or Indie games?
+The game makes use of a time-manipulating mechanic where you can hasten or delay time to your will. This adds a lot of variety to the well-crafted puzzles where you turn back time to correct your mistakes or fast forward it to see the outcome of your mistakes.
+The art style is absolutely gorgeous. Everything beautiful in this game is presented in a painting-like manner. From the puzzle pieces that you find to the falling snow and blades of grass. The very first game that i played to present backgrounds in painting form.
+The music is so good. Especially in the early levels where the music is quite country-like and upbeat. Feels like you're taking a stroll. Once you hear it, you won't stop humming to it.
+Story is one of the best that I've ever seen in a videogame although it completely rips off the Mario saving Peach thing and is presented exactly like it. But i feel that the developer knew about this and just copied it in order to convey the message clearly. The plot takes a minimalist approach and basically revolves around time and correcting your mistakes. Just like BioShock, you have to uncover the story piece by piece in order to reveal the whole truth.
And there you have it. For the price, it's not that bad. If you're a fan of platformers or just want to experience something new other than AAA games, then you definitely have to try this one out.
