Grindy, repetitive game which expects you to repeat the same stage over and over and over again before allowing you to move onto the next stage.

This is really just Nexon's Dungeon Fight Online/Dungeon and Fighter clone.

If you liked DFO/DnF, you might like this.

game has great mechanics and potential but poorly managed. Awful translations and very questionable ethics in cash shop gambling (lack of details and information communicated to probability of success/failure).

First impressions give me a feel that is very similar to Final Fantasy games. The artwork and the way characters repeat the same sentence over and over again are reminescent of the Final Fantasy Tactics. You can automate fishing in this game.

Will try to complete the game at level 50 and Act 1 to 4 to add on more stuff.

PROS
1. Good Graphics
The character models are very detailed. Their movements can be narrowed down to the smallest detail such as the moving of the arms, turning around, walking up and down. Nice visual effects from the spells. NPCs are drawn with a portrait and come with nice character models. Ambient details such as eagles soaring in the air, goats and rats help to build a believeable environment. Killing a boss renders a slow motion kill just like Street Fighter. Character models are biased towards an all-male audience. [All very minor details]

2. Good Fighting System
Fighting revolves around using the QWERTY, ASDFGH keys for spells and the arrow keys for movement. Simple combos can be executed just be random button mashing.

3. Training Centre
They have a training centre in-game for you to train your PVP/PVE skills

CONS
1. Empty
There is no one playing this game. The game is structured so that you will play it solo. It's not an MMORPG. It's just a JRPG. The N key allows for dungeon matching but there is no one to match you with at the low levels.

2. Repetitive questing
Gameplay is centred around going to zones, then entering dungeons, then repeating them 3 times. From Normal->Special->Rare->Unique levels. You will be playing the same zone over and over again before you can move on. It is pretty boring to get stuck at Gnogue Haran for the 1st ten levels of the game.

3. Spelling errors
Precious is spelled "Previous" by the Goblin Sorceror, so "My Previous Monster" does not sound very intimidating. This is a minor issue as you won't read much of the fluff.

4. Storyline
Okay. Each class has a different story and beginning. E.g. Mage was a weak student until demons attacked her school and killed her teacher, causing her to release all her demonic energy in a single instance.. Fighter is a decendant of one of the great heroes who won a great war against the demons from 500 years ago.

Despite the complaints on the stress system, I actually like this game.

Pros:
The quest successions aka storylines aren't terrible. They're actually alright,
Combat is pretty self explanitory, If you co-ordinate your moves you'll do well.
When you're low on, or plain run out of stress there are other things to do. Work on fishing/collecting/upgrade weapons.\
Asura's dungeons do not use stress.
Playable when drinking

Cons:
Community in game vs the boards is rather lacking from what I've seen. However visiting on a busier channel can help if you're looking to party up.
Stress system limits gameplay, especially in earlier levels. However it's FTP and they have recently increased the stress system so it's a bit better
Characters are gender based on class, pretty irritating
Store is ridiculously expensive

On a whole? This game actually has potetial, however the player base isn't high enough to utilze what it could do (player based stores, expanded guild stuff, current parties regardless of level). It doesn't help that there are constantly leveling promotions ongoing. While that works for simple things, it does make the current max level of 50 too easy to achieve for some players. This game, I spend more time then I care to admit playing it, however I think the creators could do better. As a FTP, I'd give it a go. It is fun, however I have a feeling that it won't be around for terribly long.

Short Version:
It can be fun, but it's pretty clear that development for this game ended back in 2013, meaning it has no future, and I expect this version to be shut down around the middle of 2015, or sooner. I'd suggest you not bother with the game, but if you really want to start playing, don't plan around any sort of long term investment.

Long Version:
This is a game in the same online brawler RPG genre of other games such as Dungeon Fighter Online (DFO), Continent of the Ninth (C9), and Elsword, but being 2.5D shares more in common with other 2.5D games within the genre like DFO. I've been playing this game off, and on for a few years now through different publishers, in various regions. It can be fun, but also can suffer from various annoyances like excessive environmental clutter, overly flashy effects, or related, which can make it difficult to see what's going on, so you'll get hit, or killed as a result, which feels cheap. As this is a 2.5D game, with characters, and enemies that are generally tall, or even flying/floating, it can be troublesome to line up your attacks just right, especially when skills can have a small vertical AoE range. Then even though some like it, being forced to play as a completely different character from your own to complete some quests is something I've always found rather annoying. All that, and other things aside, once you get into a good grove, and you're using a class you like, playing can be pretty fun.

The real problem is that this game is evidently no longer being developed, an online game with no continued development, will be shut down, and once that happens, you can't play anymore. If I remember the dates correctly Dark Blood was shut down in Japan in May 2014, China in August 2014, and South Korea in September 2014. Considering as how those in South Korea, Japan, and maybe even China can also play this version, and as the South Korean release was already without new content for about a year when it was shut down, if there was ANY intent to further develop the game, the publisher (NEXON GT, formally known as GameHi) should have been extremely anxious to tell everyone about that from the start. Instead, they've been avoiding the issue at every turn, their silence on the matter says a lot. The longer that went on, the less willing I was to keep playing, till I eventually quit.

Considering how quickly they were releasing old content when there clearly was no new content to follow that up with, their seemingly minimal investment in the game (using Facebook, and the Steam community hub as a game website, when they have a company site to run one from, not getting proper translations done, etc), and how they completely avoid the topic of the game's future, it looks like they planned for this to be a short lived venture from the start. At this point, I doubt this release will even make it to its one year anniversary (July 22, 2015). Getting into an online game with such a dismal future is not something I can in good conscience recommend to anyone.

It's an ok game but EXTREMELY repedative however, the stress system completely ruins this game. Apparently you're only allowed to play this game for about an hour a day until the "Stress System" kicks you off. Would not reccomend at all.

It's a side-scrolling, mature (blood and dismembered body parts) hack-and-slash mmo game. It currently has 5 classes, each with two advanced classes. If you ever played Dungeon Fighter Online, you would be familiar with combat. Each character has a basic attack and special moves can be performed either by pressing a shortcut key or street fighter like motions, which saves mp. The current max level is 50. You can get a random pet and pvp at the arena is available once you reach level 30, though the time slot is limited. There's a stress system, which prevents you from playing all day, but it's not that bad. There are several life skills to choose, such as fishing, mining, armorsmith, weaponsmith, etc. The one major downside is it's hard to find people to play with unless you're part of an active guild.

This is a game I honestly had to reccomend, it is incredibly addicting, fun to play, challenging and very time consuming. The last one may not seem as a positive trait of the game to average player, but do not worry, if you are an average player that is not going for the best items etc. it shouldn't be even half as time consuming as for the more dedicated players. But well it depends on you of course.

Going further into the review, I really have to endorse the combat system, it is one of the most enjoyable combat systems I know, (not the best, but definetely the top), combat both PvM and PvP is very fast paced, action packed, skill based and full of surprieses. The more time you spend with your skills the more you will learn about them. It took me waaay to long to realise that i can control my character in midair during/after many of my attacks.
For the people who dislike the combat in the game, I can only suggest one thing, try another character, maybe this is not your preffered playstyle? Classes do differ considerably when it comes to combat style and strategy you have ot use.
Coming back to the PvP part, Outsider vs Outsider was probably the fastest and most skillbased fight i have ever took part in (And I spend my grand share of time in Jedi Academy and Mount and Blade, to witness what skillbased means).

Another thing I really appreciate about the game are the guild dungeons, that really provide the players with challenge, of course as you grow stronger you will eventually be able to solo the easier Asuras (as the guild dungeons are called), but this will not come easily ;)

The thing I dislike the most about the game is sadly the story telling, story telling in the game is terrible, and especially the first part of ACT 3 was immensly boring. BUT the plot as the whole is good. I am still trying to wrap my head around how can you create a good plotline with bad story telling, but well Nexon sure delivered, especially the second part of ACT4 deserves to be praised. I am really anxious to see what will happen next, the sooner ACT5 is released, the better (but not sooner than it's properly done, please.). When it comes to the world creation, one thing I praise the most, is that we get a lot of mysteries to unreveal later, for example payers knew that there is some characer named Necromancer, for a very long time, but no one had any idea if it's an important character or just some extra untill the ACT 4 was released. I would really like to explain more about this, but really do not want to spoil for the fellow lore-lovers.

There is many, many, MANY things I could also ta about and say how good they were, I also realise that the game has some other problems than bad story telling, but I would probably take months to write to a review about every aspect of this game, it is ust too rich in content for me to write such article.
If you have any questions about the game, please leve them in the comments, I'll do my best to answer your questions.

P.S - This game is NOT pay 2 win, and altohugh paying player can get an adventage over normal one, there is NOTHING that can't be achived without paying, that's right even without spending a single cent on the game you can lay your hands on every single item in game. Paying players do not have better EQ, there is not way in this game to buy EQ, for real money. Cheers :)

Feels more like a browser game than a standalone game. Action-RPG in style of eastern games (lots of monsters, big numbers floating around, etc.) Sometimes too fast to notice anything. Not very hard to master, controls are keyboard (or gamepad if you prefer) centered. Graphics are not very bad but nothing special, either. Store sells cosmetic things like costumes and skins. Its an average game, in general.

Here's a summary for people who are looking at this game and still doubtful.

[/table]So if you're looking for a game that doesn't require intensive specs, this game offers interesting gameplay experience. There are some things you will have to overlook which I think is trivial. I didn't really cover everything of course, but if you're interested, you might want to play this game with an open mind and eyes then you'll be able to realise how this game is truly entertaining when you play with your friends.
Features Boo or Bane?
Retro & side scrolling. The gameplay is smooth because the graphic is not demanding. The graphic artstyle is original and one-of-a-kind which somehow, really attracts my attention. Gore for people who likes it bloodied. Not exactly 2D but you can expect 2.5D which itself is pretty and nice.
Mechanics - Controller is optional. Arcade style with button mashings instead of clicking and pressing skills which itself is more engaging and interactive. Features combo system with various method to lock or pin down your targets depending on your skills (AOE, DOT, Single Target, Aerial, Knock-down, Sniping). Skills animation is sleek and fluid, balanced if you're looking at PVP.
Story - Original story plot involving mythical creatures and background story. With twists and elements of fun and sorrow, there are a lot of characters which I fell in love with like Pyron, Beatrix, Gairen and Arwin. Each character has their own specific personality and that goes to the guards and every merchants and character themselves.
Artificial Intelligence - Not AIs in MOBA but in specific instance there are actually AIs who play along with you when you have no one to play with (for Story Mode Only).
Unique - You can assume control of other characters like the Gunner and Whitey Bear which are really fun once in a while.
Music - It's peaceful when it needs to. The music theme matches the scenario and actually add emotions into the gameplay.
Customization - The creation part is very limited with prefix hair and colors but when you're in game and gain accessed to dyes (either you buy it in Auction House or the Cash Shop), you can change your hair, weapons, armors, pets, mounts and avatar colors. However, the dye is like a mini-game, and if you want you can actually make your avatar one-of-a-kind. There's a beauty shop (B) for you to try out different avatar and do the coloring before you purchase avatars and dyes them. But if you're looking at morphing the face, sadly, you can't. There's only a limited customization with the body sizes.
Translation - It's bearable for most part but as for the skills. If you didn't read carefully, you might misunderstood. They are poorly translated for skills which I think is really important for some people. But the good thing is, you can Ctrl+Right Click the skill to see how it looks like. Just need to go to Steam Community and read up some of the skills description.
Fatigue System - This is actually a safeguard to prevent excessive playing. To be honest, the fatigue system is pretty limited.
Transportation & Accessibility - In game, you can choose to run around amok or get a mount or use a waypoint. The map is easy to understand with AI's names if you hover to the dots that represent each AIs. In dungeons, if you own a mount, pretty much automatically get on your mount when you're moving. It's good, but sometime it's irritating when there's summoned monsters or obstacles and you need to unsummon the mount. But the mounts help to pick up things and open chests for you and take reduce damage against traps.
Community - It's not very big because the server base is moderate at most. So the price in the market tends to fluctuate but at the same time, easy to control. Currency in the game is not that hard to earn because you get to use the goblin jackpot. Guild system is elaborated with guild skills and storage,

Awesome Game! Very freindly community. However like most other F2P be careful of the nickle and diming with the ingame store items. I wasnt a fan of the "stress" system but I noticed the higher level I got the longer it took to actually reach the daily cap. Over all very fun/addictive game. I recommend giving it a solid shot.
