This game is awesome. It is a lot of fun and is a joy to play. It follows the movie and has scenes from the movie. If you have not seen the movie this game might spoil it for you so watch the movie first.

Not the best Lego game, but still a pretty good one. You can even play as Superman and Batman.
Game is shorter than the other Lego games. Had trouble sometimes trying to figure out what had to be done, but nothing frustrating.
I believe you should watch the movie first, you will understand the game better if you do so.
I missed the HUB very much. If you want to replay a level you have to walk around the world and find it. A little irritating but you do get past it easy enough.
Good game overall. 7 out of 10. Recommended.

All I can say is if you liked the Lego movie and the other lego games DON'T buy this game...

I just don't get how awesome movie + great developed game series = this - it just doesn't make any sense.

Granted I have only played it briefly, but that's only because that is all I could take. You are much better off With Lego Marvel, Pirates, Lord of the Rings or any of the other wonderful lego games out there. And if you've played them all, hey just go play them again!

EDIT: I've played through more of this since first writing this review and I still wouldn't recommend it - however for the steam sale price it's probably not too bad... just to answer compujosh - the main things I had a problem with were the overall sloppiness of the graphics (half the lego textures in the cowboy world were UPSIDE DOWN on the model amongst many other inconsistencies) the puzzles were painfully simple, rather boring and it all just felt very rushed. Also visually the choice to use actual movie footage as opposed to recreating the movie scenes with real-time animations as they have done in EVERY other lego games led to a disparity between the cut scenes and the real time play which I found quite jarring - it generally made the game look even worse every time you jumped back in..

Anyway that's my rant. If you're buying this for a kid they probably won't notice or care about the things that annoy me, but think twice if you're buying it expecting a top notch lego game.

Iv just started playing this game im on like lvl 4 or 5 and im so glad i bought this game. The levels are alot shorter than most of the other lego games so you move through it very fast but you can go back and free play and explore and get everything. Which is fun even after compeleting the level. There is a lego charm about this game that i dont think iv ever seen from any of the others, its fun just being in the game itfeels like your playing in a real lego world. I would recommend thisd to anyone who like video games. Id give 9/10
